New spoilers have shed light on the details, with them giving away his exact location. While we still don't know fully what has led him there, spoilers have hinted at what happened to him ahead of scenes airing. ‌ Recently we saw Gary flee the street to stay with his mother Anna Windass, after his marriage to Maria Connor hit the rocks. A shocking blackmail storyline with Lou Michaelis left Gary with something to hide, with him soon visiting Anna. ‌ He was due back ages ago though, leaving Maria annoyed and concerned when he failed to show. Spoilers confirmed that Maria would be left unsure what had happened to him, trying to make contact to figure out where he was. With Maria's son Liam Connor concerned about his stepfather, Wednesday's episode showed him panicked over what was going on. He also feared the couple were splitting up, and maybe that was why Gary had failed to return home. Maria did her best to reassure him, suggesting Gary may have gotten mixed up with his dates and would be home soon. With her clearly worried herself, she claimed there was nothing to worry about before leaving Gary a voicemail, wanting answers. Spoilers for Friday's episode have revealed she does finally get a message seemingly from Gary, who tells her he has been with a mate. He claims he's coming home soon leaving her relieved. But a twist in spoilers for next week's episodes have hinted at a dark twist. Viewers will then see Gary in a hospital bed, as we finally see him after weeks offscreen. ‌ It seems his life could be on the line in a deadly twist, as the character takes a turn for the worse. As he deteriorates, a nurse rushes over to him and tries to help him. But can Gary be saved or is a shocking death about to be announced? It's clear something very bad has happened to Gary in his absence, while spoilers and images remain coy over what went down. Whether it was a medical issue or someone has put him in hospital remains to be seen, but fans will find out very soon. As for Gary's fate and whether anyone will find out where he is next week, that's another thing fans will have to keep an eye out for.

Emmerdale star to join BBC soap months after being axed from ITV show

A star of Emmerdale has switched from ITV to BBC in her latest move with the 21-year-old actress set to take on a role in another long-running soap A former Emmerdale star is set for their on-screen return to a rival channel. It comes months after their exit from the ITV soap. Daisy Campbell is recognisable for her role as Amelia Spencer on the Yorkshire-based soap. However, she is switching channels this weekend and will appear on the BBC's Casualty. ‌ The 21-year-old actress will make an appearance on the long-running medical soap in a guest role capacity. The surprising news will see Daisy play the part of Georgina Birch on the show. However, little is known of her role with details being tightly guarded until the day of the episodes. ‌ The latest role is her first big-screen appearance since her Emmerdale exit last year. She had been in the village for 13 years, but her character was axed after all relatives and connections were also gone. Speaking ahead of her exit last year, she insisted the move wasn't her choice. In a chat with us last October, she said the shock decision wouldn't have been the one she had wanted. Daisy, who was just eight when she joined the hit soap as Amelia, admitted she had been secretly struggling since she was called into a covert meeting and told her last scenes would air just before Christmas. She explained: "It wasn't my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I've spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.' ‌ She went on: "Once they explained, I totally got it. "Amelia isn't part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn't have any family. "There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age." Speaking about how co-stars and friends, Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, and Jack Downham, were the only ones to know about her exit in the build-up, she said: "They were upset for me but so supportive. I didn't tell the rest of the cast my news initially as I wanted the time to process everything. I needed time to grieve the part of Amelia." And she admitted producers took the decision out of her hands, but said they "done me a favour". She added: "I would never have left if they hadn't decided there was no longer anywhere to take Amelia. 'I am glad it was their choice and not mine. I see it as a big positive now because it is such a great chance to push myself, start a new chapter away from Emmerdale and take on hopefully some new parts. I am really excited about what lies ahead."

The Chase's Darragh Ennis shares Harry Potter quiz 'only mega-fans' can solve

The Chase star Darragh Ennis regularly shares his own quizzes online, and one recent one was designed to challenge Harry Potter fans with some fiendishly difficult questions If you reckon yourself a top-tier Harry Potter fan, then this quiz from The Chase sensation Darragh Ennis will surely test your magical mettle. Better known to fans as The Menace, the ITV quiz maestro usually spends his time thwarting hopefuls from bagging big money with his remarkable trivia talent. Offscreen, the brainy chaser flexes his quiz muscles on TikTok, challenging users to match his knowledge through themed quizzes. Recently, he conjured up a set of particularly tricky questions aimed at Harry Potter enthusiasts, as he claimed that it would be nearly "impossible" for even the biggest fans to get every question right. ‌ Darragh's latest challenge features five Potter-themed questions, cunningly crafted to escalate in difficulty as contestants progress through the quiz. ‌ He declared that "most" people won't be able to answer all five questions correctly, but conceded that true "mega-fans" might just prove their wizardry levels by acing the test. The five questions Darragh set were: What is the address of the Dursleys? At platform nine and three-quarters of what train station does Harry catch the Hogwarts Express? Who is the landlady of the Three Broomsticks pub in Hogsmeade? Who wrote the magical textbook, A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration? Which character lived on a street called Spinners End? For that first question, Darragh said won't be charmed by vague answers; he expects both the street name and house number for full marks. He also gave a slight hint that the book, A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration, is one of the titles on Harry's book list for his first year at Hogwarts, so he would have picked it up while shopping for his supplies with Hagrid. ‌ Do you reckon you've worked out all five answers? If you're still puzzling over them, don't scroll any further, because we're about to reveal the solutions. Answers Darragh unveiled the following answers in his clip: No. 4 Privet Drive King's Cross station in London Madame Rosemerta Emeric Switch Professor Snape ‌ The telly favourite pointed out that nailing Emeric Switch as the answer for the book author query was particularly "tough" and gave kudos to anyone who managed to crack it. He also clarified that Professor Snape lives at an address on Spinners End when he isn't at Hogwarts, making it a very niche question. Viewers of the video didn't hesitate to boast or bemoan their quiz performance. Some bragged that the challenge was "so easy", while others confessed they were stumped by some of the more perplexing questions. One viewer commented: "I got 4/5. Who remembers the authors of random textbooks?" Another said: "Every time I reread the books, I make sure I know who wrote every one of Harry's set books, just in case they come up in trivia, and it finally did!"
