‘Big Little Lies' Creator David E. Kelley Is 'Hopeful' Season 3 Will 'Happen': 'Everyone Is Very Committed to It'
David E. Kelley is holding onto hope that Big Little Lies will return for a third season.
Season two of the HBO series arrived in 2019, two years after season one debuted. It's been half a decade since the show debuted new episodes, though the series creator told People that he's 'hopeful' season three will 'happen.'

'We're hoping it happens,' he said Monday at the Gotham TV Awards. 'We had a great time doing the first two seasons and we all want to do it again … I'm hopeful it'll happen.'
Big Little Lies featured an A-list slate of stars, including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Dern, Meryl Streep, Zoë Kravitz and Shailene Woodley. If a third season does come to fruition, Kelley noted that no one is 'under contract' at the moment, but they'd 'need to corral a lot of high-caliber talent and their publicists, but everyone is very committed to it.'
Kelley praised Liane Moriarty, the author of the novel the TV series is based on, for the continued interest in the show. He also teased that Moriarty has 'written another book' that a potential next season 'will be based on.'
'I think it's a credit to Liane Moriarty, too, who wrote the original book,' he said. 'And she's written another book that season three will be based on. It's a pretty good collection of talent.'
In January 2024, sources told The Hollywood Reporter stars and exec producers Witherspoon and Kidman were developing an idea for season three that they were looking forward to pitching to the network. Five months later, the actresses opened up about their hopes for a new season in an interview with Vanity Fair, somewhat indicating that a new installment was happening.
'I've got Laura [Dern] calling me and Zoë [Kravitz] and Shailene [Woodley]. They're all like, 'Nic said that we're making Big Little Lies season three?'' Witherspoon said, to which Kidman rebutted, 'But we are now! We're moving fast and furious, and Liane [Moriarty] is delivering the book.'

Today's Quordle Hints (and Answer) for Wednesday, June 11, 2025
If you're looking for the Quordle answer for Wednesday, June 11, 2025, read on—I'll share some clues, tips, and strategies, and finally the solution. Beware, there are spoilers below for June 11, Quordle #1234! Keep scrolling if you want some hints (and then the answer) to today's Quordle game. (If you play Wordle, Connections, and Strands, check out our hints for those games, too.) How to play Quordle Quordle lives on the Merriam-Webster website. A new puzzle goes live every day. If you've never played, it's a twist on The New York Times' daily Wordle game, in which you have a limited number of attempts to guess a five-letter mystery word. In Quordle, though, you're simultaneously solving four Wordle-style puzzles, and each of your guesses gets applied to the four puzzles simultaneously. Due to the increased difficulty, Quordle grants you nine guesses (12 if you play on 'Chill' mode, or eight if you play on 'Extreme'), rather than Wordle's six. To start, guess a five-letter word. The letters of the word in each of the four quadrants will turn green if they're correct, yellow if you have the right letter in the wrong place, or gray if the letter isn't in that secret word at all. Ready for the hints? Let's go! Can you give me a hint for today's Quordle? Upper left: Yearn or desire. Upper right: Where birds rest. Lower left: Acute or obtuse. Lower right: A deluge. Does today's Quordle have any double or repeated letters? Upper left: No. Upper right: Yes, one double vowel. Lower left: No. Lower right: Yes, one double vowel. What letters do today's Quordle words start with? Upper left: C Upper right: R Lower left: A Lower right: F What letters do today's Quordle words end with? Upper left: E Upper right: T Lower left: E Lower right: D What is the solution to today's Quordle? Upper left: CRAVE Upper right: ROOST Lower left: ANGLE Lower right: FLOOD How I solved today's Quordle I kick things off with SLATE, which is a good start. Maybe it's a different consonant cluster, like FR or DR. DRAPE? Close. CRANE? One off. It's either CRAVE or CRAZE. I'll try CRAVE. Phew. I'll try RHINO now to get some more vowels out of the way. The upper right might be ROOST. Nailed it. Looks like the bottom right has two Os as well. FLOOD? Yep. One to go. If I hadn't already used C, it could be LANCE. ANKLE? Ooh, close. It has to be ANGLE. The best starter words for Quordle What should you play for that first guess? We can look to Wordle for some general guidelines. The best starters tend to contain common letters, to increase the chances of getting yellow and green squares to guide your guessing. (And if you get all grays when guessing common letters, that's still excellent information to help you rule out possibilities.) There isn't a single 'best' starting word, but the New York Times's Wordle analysis bot has suggested starting with one of these: CRANE TRACE SLANT CRATE CARTE Meanwhile, an MIT analysis found that you'll eliminate the most possibilities in the first round by starting with one of these: SALET REAST TRACE CRATE SLATE Other good picks might be ARISE or ROUND. Words like ADIEU and AUDIO get more vowels in play, but you could argue that it's better to start with an emphasis on consonants, using a starter like RENTS or CLAMP. Choose your strategy, and see how it plays out.

How is Jim Gaffigan as a father? Hear it from one of his kids
How is Jim Gaffigan as a father? Hear it from one of his kids How is Jim Gaffigan as a father? Hear it from one of his kids How is Jim Gaffigan as a father? Hear it from one of his kids You know how Jim Gaffigan is forever complaining about his kids? On this Father's Day, it seems only right that we give one of his offspring equal time. Hi, I'm Patrick Gaffigan. We are giving my dad the day off this Sunday. Not that whatever he does on this show should be considered work. Patrick Gaffigan, the youngest of the Gaffigan clan. CBS News In full disclosure, I don't watch "CBS Sunday Morning," but then again, I'm not the demographic. I understand everyone loves this show and it's won a bunch of awards, but when I've watched, it just seems like a long commercial. Sorry. I am aware my Dad occasionally comes on this show and complains about how difficult it is to be the father of five children. Boo hoo! Waa-waa! I wonder whose fault that is? Here's a hint: It's his. Well, today I'm here to present a rebuttal. I'd like to talk to you about the struggles of being one of the offspring of this guy. Having Jim Gaffigan as a dad is not all rainbows and hot pockets, folks. He's too strict, talks too much about his garden, and often smells like cheese. I could go on, but my biggest issue is when people tell me I look like my dad. "Oh, you look just like your father." Are you trying to ruin my day? I know I look like my dad, and it's probably why I smoke cigars. [Don't tell my parents that.] For more info: Story produced by Lucie Kirk. Editor: Lauren Barnello. See also:
