Naked Wardrobe is expanding to the UK with wholesale partner Flannels

Los Angeles-based fashion label Naked Wardrobe, founded in 2012 by three sisters Shirin, Shida, and Shideh Kaviani, to fill a gap in the solution-based basics market, is expanding to the UK through a wholesale partnership with luxury retailer Flannels.
The move is described as a 'significant milestone' in the brand's international expansion strategy and will see Naked Wardrobe's cult-favourite solution-forward basics and Original Sculpted Streetwear available to consumers across the UK, in Flannel stores and online from June 20. Flannels, which has more than 80 stores in the UK and Ireland, will launch with a curated selection of elevated basics and modern suiting designed to streamline and elevate the everyday wardrobe with versatile, foundational styles.
Styles will include Naked Wardrobe's bestselling bodysuits, dresses, jumpsuits, blazers, trousers, and skirts in its signature neutral tones, featuring the brand's exclusive fabrications and sculpted silhouettes.

Naked Wardrobe launched in 2012 and became known for its sleek, form-fitting, and stretchy bodysuits, leggings and dresses, as seen on celebrities such as Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Sophie Turner, Lori Harvey, Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian.
In 2024, the LA-based brand relaunched with a new visual brand identity and product strategy, pivoting towards more elevated styles, shifting away from a fast-fashion approach of releasing weekly new arrivals to creating 'true collections'. Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson has already begun strengthening his squad after signing Plymouth striker Ryan Hardie this week for an undisclosed fee. ‌ By contrast, Wednesday are in turmoil after being banned from spending for the next three transfer windows after failing to pay players' wages. The Hillsborough club have suffered a turbulent decade under the ownership of Thai businessman Dejphon Chansiri, which saw them receive a six-point deduction in 2020 for breaching EFL financial rules. ‌ Wrexham are now said to be looking to take advantage of the situation as they eye a potential move for Owls captain Barry Bannan. The 35-year-old's contract is due to expire at the end of this month and and Wrexham are understood to be monitoring his situation. However, despite Wednesday's woes, the joint head of a North American consortium attempting to purchase the troubled Championship club believes they have a strong base to work from. And he suggested Wrexham co-owner Reynolds would be envious of the Owls' heritage and following. Adam Shaw, a Sheffield-born businessman based in Florida, made his comments in an interview with The Athletic after highlighting the potential for the club to grow its profile in the States. "Sheffield Wednesday are nowhere in America. We sell zero shirts and have no commercial presence there – that's got to change," he said. "With the World Cup in the US next year and with the individuals we have in our ownership group, we could easily become Florida's English football team. ‌ "We should and can be way bigger than Wrexham. Ryan Reynolds would give his left leg to have what we already have at Wednesday in terms of our history and fanbase. Let's use that." Shaw is part of a consortium which also involves property investor John Flanagan, along with several investors whose identities have been withheld. However, he disclosed that the group of 16 includes several Major League Baseball players, along with an ex-Premier League star and a high profile celebrity. ‌ Shaw insists the group would have a similar impact at Wednesday to that of Reynolds and McElhenney at Wrexham. The Hollywood pair bought the club for a nominal amount in February 2021, subject to an immediate £2million cash injection. The club was then in the National League, but has since secured three consecutive promotions and will now play in the second tier next season. Reynolds and McElhenney have already sold a minority stake in the club to the Allyn family from New York, while the owners of Mexican side Club Necaxa also hold a small share in Wrexham. Reports emerged earlier this month that they are now looking for fresh investment in a move which would place the club's value at £350m. ‌ Meanwhile, it's been claimed the consortium looking to buy Wednesday have already had two bids rejected by Chansiri. Shaw said the group would immediately upgrade Wednesday's academy and training ground if successful with their takeover plans, as well as renovating Hillsborough stadium. ‌ "We are Sheffield Wednesday, we are a big enough club to create the best academy and training facilities in the UK if we put our minds to it," he said. 'Let's get Hillsborough fully open and give fans something decent to eat and drink, with service with a smile. We'd also really like to see if we can wrap three of the sides, to create a more modern, bowl effect but we would leave the South Stand alone, as we want a mix of old and new." Rami Baitieh, chief executive of Morrisons, said he was 'pleased to report that Morrisons has bounced back strongly' from disruption linked to a cyber attack on its technology supplier Blue Yonder in November. The retailer had previously said the incident caused slower sales growth in the quarter to January and highlighted that its recent turnaround progress was 'set back' by the issue. The company was unable to see its product availability and stock levels for four days, leading to reduced availability in stores over the key trading period. However, Morrisons saw sales growth accelerate from 4.2% in the previous quarter to 4.3%, with a like-for-like growth figure of 3.9%. Meanwhile, underlying earnings grew by 7.2% to £344 million for the first half of its financial year. Bosses said the business had seen sales supported by investment into pricing and promotions amid intense competition across the sector and pressure on customer budgets. Mr Baitieh added: 'Against the backdrop of a challenging macro environment with inflation driving subdued consumer sentiment, value remains at the forefront of customers' minds. 'Throughout the first half we've worked hard on helping customers through these challenges with a rigorous focus on price, promotions and meaningful rewards for loyalty.' It comes as the company pushes on with its major turnaround plan, which has seen it overhaul a raft of store operations. In March, Morrisons announced that 365 staff were at risk of redundancy because of plans to close some of its cafes, convenience stores, florists and fresh food counters. As a result, it said it would shut 52 cafes, all 18 market kitchens, 17 Morrisons Daily convenience stores, 13 florists, 35 meat counters, 35 fish counters and four pharmacies. In its latest update, Morrisons said it has launched new trials including a new-look Market Street section within its stores. Morrisons added that it made a further £58 million in cost savings over the latest quarter, amid plans to save £1 billion by the end of the 2026 financial year.
