Pay on the number shown here, and we'll send you the link," as quoted by Telugu news portal Such messages, along with explicit content, went viral on the Internet. The racket originally came to light after the East Zone Task Force raided their Amberpet residence. They discovered a part of the couple's house turned into a studio-like setup, with curtains also arranged for a makeshift backdrop. They seized all the cameras, equipment and mobile phones used for the broadcast. Following their arrest, the couple has reportedly confessed to the crime, stating that the adult content business made them hefty money by just sharing links for payments. Their content included a mix of nude videos and livestreams of sexual acts, which were broadcast through encrypted or private channels. The couple, whose identities have not been disclosed, has been handed over to the Amberpet Police. They have been booked under multiple sections of the Information Technology Act related to the distribution of obscene material online. Authorities have launched a deeper investigation to determine whether others were involved in the racket or if it has any international links. Shocking Racket Busted In Hyderabad The incident came on the heels of another similar case where a prostitution racket was busted in Hyderabad's SR Nagar. Earlier this month, the West Task Force, in coordination with local police, uncovered an illegal prostitution racket operating under the guise of a spa in SR Nagar. During the raid, a female sex worker was rescued, and a sub-organiser was arrested. Authorities revealed that the accused lured women from various parts of the city with promises of attractive jobs and salaries, later directing them to the spa where illicit activities were conducted. CM vows to make state drug-free
Guntur: In a decisive move to eradicate drug abuse, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday launched a comprehensive campaign against ganja and narcotics, vowing to transform Andhra Pradesh into a drug-free state. On the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the state rallied behind the slogan 'No Drugs Bro,' symbolising a united front against substance abuse. The Chief Minister personally led a walkathon in Guntur, from Fever Hospital Junction to Mirchi Dhaba, joined by citizens and students. Participants, holding banners and chanting slogans, pledged their support for a drug-free society. Following the rally, the Chief Minister addressed a conference. As part of its intensified crackdown, the state government announced that properties of individuals involved in the cultivation, transportation, or sale of drugs will be confiscated. To foster public participation, dedicated citizen reporting channels have been launched, including a WhatsApp helpline (8977781972) and a toll-free number (1972), enabling confidential reporting of drug-related activities. The state is also significantly expanding its rehabilitation infrastructure, with plans to establish 56 new de-addiction centers, three of which will meet world-class standards. Additionally, fast-track courts for NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases are being set up in key cities such as Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Guntur, and Tirupati. To promote long-term awareness and prevention, schools will introduce 'Eagle Clubs', and celebrities and social media influencers are being urged to actively participate in anti-drug campaigns. Naidu sharply criticised the previous government for its perceived inaction on drug control, stating that under the YSRCP regime, Visakhapatnam had become a hub for ganja smuggling. He emphasised that political leaders must lead by example, issuing a stern warning that anyone — regardless of political affiliation — found supporting or collaborating with drug mafias will face severe consequences. Expressing deep concern over the rising cases of drug abuse among the youth, the Chief Minister noted, 'Drugs are destroying lives and turning people into criminals. Our goal is to eliminate this threat from its roots. By 2047, we aim to make the Telugu nation number one — and that means building a drug-free society today.' Fight Against Drugs: Revanth asks schools, colleges to be vigilant
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday warned educational institutions that cases would be booked against them if drugs were found in their premises. The CM announced that the state's Anti-Narcotics Bureau would henceforth be known as Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) and was tasked with curbing the menace of narcotics in the state. Speaking at an event marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2025 at Shilpakala Vedika here, Reddy placed an onus on educational institutions to ensure their campuses were free of drugs. 'It is the responsibility of school and college managements which take lakhs of rupees from parents, to monitor students. Parents entrust the responsibility of their children to them. Hence, they can't act irresponsibly while accepting huge fees from parents. I order DGP and anti-narcotics officials that cases be booked against the managements of educational institutes if drugs were found in their premises,' he said. The Chief Minister also suggested that educational institutions should engage professional child psychologists to monitor 'behavioral changes' among students. Since children spend most of their time in educational institutions, the school and college authorities should keep a tab on them, he said. He also urged students to immediately report to authorities in case they find drugs in the premises of their schools or colleges. He instructed the Chief Secretary and other senior officials to hold meetings with the managements of schools and colleges to reinforce their responsibilities. Telangana, known for people's struggles, cannot become a hub of narcotics, he added. While launching EAGLE, the renamed version of Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB), on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that EAGLE would ensure that Telangana would become a drugs-free state. 'The EAGLE will keep a close eye on the movement of cannabis and drugs in the state. For a drug-free Telangana, I want everyone to work together with the government. We can control drugs only if we all are vigilant,' he said. Telugu film actors Ram Charan and Vijay Devarakonda, badminton chief national coach Pullela Gopichand, state DGP Jitender and others attended the event. Praising Ram Charan and Vijay Devarakonda for their hard work and dedication in the film industry, the Chief Minister said youth should be inspired by the real-life story of the actors and not the roles they play in films. Ram Charan, who also spoke at the event, appealed to the audience, largely comprising youth, to work hard and lead a life of happiness and not fall prey to narcotics.
