Hell Yeah, ‘Sinners' Comes Home to Streaming Next Week
Ryan Coogler's period piece vampire thriller has been the talk of the town since its mid-April release, and you'll be able to watch it on Prime Video or Apple TV. Price-wise, Prime Video and Fandango list the film at $25 to buy, but there's no prices to rent it at time of writing. For the physical media crowd, Sinners hits all the standard formats the following month on Tuesday, July 8. Special features include standard deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes featurettes on the movie's music, creature FX, and more. An HBO Max release date wasn't set.
Earlier this week, Sinners finally came to the people of Clarksdale, Mississippi—where the film takes place—following a passionate online movement to get it screened in the theaterless town. It's playing in town six times over a three-day period, and per Reuters, WB provided the city's civic auditorium with a big screen, projector, and sound system.
Coogler attended the screening with production staff, including composer Ludwig Göransson and actor Miles Caton, who plays Sammie. Clarksidale residents and those in the area flocked to see it, and 'hundreds' came to attend the first screening of day one. Attendees praised the film for its portrayal of their town and the Jim Crow era, and mayor Chuck Espy told Reuters the film's attention could help draw attention to the town.
At time of writing, Sinners is still playing in theaters in standard, non-IMAX formats. WB's not in a rush to pull it from theaters, but you'll be glad to have it at home once they do.

Viral doorbell footage captures hero teens rescuing dogs from neighbor's house fire
"Faith in humanity restored." A Utah neighborhood faced danger when a house fire ignited, threatening two homes on the street. The homes would be destroyed — but the beloved dogs inside would be saved thanks to the fearlessness and quick thinking of three nearby teenagers. Thanks to a doorbell camera, their heroism was documented — and now the footage is drawing praise from people all over the internet. The doorbell camera footage shows the three young people pounding on a neighbor's door, spotting a dog trapped inside, and then after considerable effort, succeeding in kicking the door down to gain entry to the burning home and pull two pups to safety — all while propane tanks exploded nearby. The teens said they didn't hesitate. 'Without a second thought, we just jumped the fence,' one recalled in a report by the local NBC news affiliate, KSL TV5. As they got closer, the fire intensified. 'When we got down there, the propane tanks exploded,' another said. But the boys didn't back down. Seeing the dogs inside, they smashed through the front door and carried them out — a moment now burned into grateful viewers' minds thanks to the footage that's gone viral. The news channel's reporter on the story, Debbie Worthen, shared the dramatic video on Instagram, and the comments quickly poured in from people across Utah and beyond. 'Kids these days get a bad rap, but I truly think they are some of the greatest generations," one commenter wrote. "Proud of you guys!'
