Love Island star Dani Dyer and her former EastEnders actor dad Danny Dyer share an incredibly close bond and he has been vocal of his approval of her beau Jarrod Bowen
Blushing bride Dani Dyer is due to walk down the aisle today, with her actor dad Danny Dyer by her side as she takes the next step in her fairytale romance with Jarrod Bowen.
The 28-year-old star's beloved EastEnders actor dad, 47, is set to walk her down the aisle. The Bridgerton-themed nuptials are set to be a family affair as Dani's twin daughters Summer and Star, two, will be flower girls and her son Santiago, four, will act as a page boy alongside Dani's brother Arty.
Dani and Jarrod's English countryside nuptials will be an intimate affair, as it's understood just 50 guests have been invited to witness the couple exchange vows and say 'I do'.

Meanwhile, it's also been reported that Dani plans to stick to tradition in a number of ways – including staying away from the groom on the eve of the wedding. Dani is understood to have stayed with her dad and mum Jo the night before her big day, showing just how close of a bond she has with her parents.
Here, we take a look at the father and daughter's special bond as the pair make sweet memories on Dani and Jarrod's big day...
Danny's special role on Dani's wedding day
Danny is set to walk Dani down the aisle during her Bridgerton-themed wedding today. As well as keeping up tradition with Danny's role in the ceremony, Dani has revealed she's kept another tradition – by hiding her wedding dress from her dad before the special day.
Explaining the idea behind it on their joint podcast, Dani revealed: "Have you not seen that first look when the dad sees their daughter in their dress and that? Oh it's lovely!
"Yeah your dad's not meant to see it [the wedding dress], it's a moment for the dad as well!"
Jarrod asked for Danny's permission
On the father and daughter's joint podcast, Danny revealed Jarrod called him to ask him for permission to propose to Dani before he popped the question. He said: "For him to make the call to me to ask for your hand in marriage is a very old school thing to do."
The former soap star added: "I was a very emotional man at the time, I was emotional anyway... 'You can have her hand in marriage'," Danny said as he mimicked himself crying. He added: "I said, 'well look, congratulations mate' and he said, 'but what if she says no?'"
"He actually questioned that," Dani giggled, "Never it was beautiful." Danny then added: "And I wanted to go, 'Are you f**king mad?!'"
Joint career ventures and nepo baby claims
Dani, 28, shot to fame after appearing on the fourth series of Love Island in 2015, and has had a string of high profile romances with Jack Fincham and Sammy Kimmence before finding love with West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen, who she is set to marry today after a year-long engagement.
Dani's dad Danny, 47, has been in the showbiz industry for a fair few years before his daughter – as he's had roles in movies such as The Football Factory and Severance before undertaking the role of Mick Carter on EastEnders from 2013 until 2022.
With the duo being in the same industry, they share an incredibly tight bond – as they also have joint career projects including a stint on Celebrity Gogglebox, their podcast, Live and Let Dyers and the ownership of their caravan park Priory Hill & Nutts Farm, which is being captured for a new Sky TV series called The Dyers' Caravan Park. In recent years, Dani has been hit with claims of being a so-called nepo baby, which the pair have both hit back at.
Speaking on their podcast, Dani admitted she had recently been hearing the 'really nasty' term being used towards her recently. Danny then joked: "Even though I didn't win Love Island."
He added: "What doors did I open for you really? Maybe they might of put you in Love Island on the back of... just to generate a bit of press because I'm your dad. But that's it, the rest, you was in there f**king eight weeks. I didn't pop in every week and go, 'Everyone vote for Dani' no because you f**king won the f**king country, and arguably, the world fell in love with you just because of your beautiful nature, your vulnerability..."
Dani then added: "I've just had it a few times recently that I'm only famous because of you, it's quite nasty isn't it?"
"It's just people, isn't it darling," Danny said before turning to face the camera and break the fourth wall, telling viewers: "Message to the people that do want to say that to Dani, f**k of you c***s."
Supportive father daughter bond
Dani has previously opened up on the close bond she shares with both her parents, revealing they live just around the corner incase the busy mum-of-three needs them.
Dani previously revealed to Closer magazine: "My mum and dad are seven minutes from me.
"I'm really lucky to have them round the corner." She explained that Danny struggles to spend more than a day away from his grandchildren, admitting he's "hands on".
Dani went on to say: "He always wants to see the kids. If he's not seen them for a few days, he'll be ringing me saying, 'Are you in? I want to come over', or he'll pick up Santi from nursery for me or come over and cook me dinner. He's so supportive and so loving, he's such an emotional man and since he's become a grandad, he's even more emotional."
Danny has recently opened up about his wild past, which he admitted affected his children also. Danny is dad to Danny, Sunnie, 18, and Arty, 11. Speaking candidly on ITV's The Assembly, Danny revealed: "I caused quite a lot of pain to my children, the stuff I was getting up to, just being vacant, not engaging, not being available. It's not about money, you can live in a cardboard box. Children need stability and affection and to feel like they're loved. That's it, when you haven't got that, it's a really tough thing." However, he is now a changed man, as his family are more solid than ever.
He added: "Me and Jo are going to be together for ever. Abso-f******-lutely. Completely. We will probably renew our wedding vows. I want to see my Dani tie the knot first, whenever that will be.
"We've gone through a lot me and Jo. I take full responsibility for most of our ups-and-downs. Most of the downs, really. We've been together since we were 14 so we have spent our whole life together. We were parents at 18, we were still babies ourselves but then we were trying to parent from 18 onwards with Dani. So we have gone through a lot together."

Meghan shares heartfelt video of Lilibet's fourth birthday at Disneyland
The family shared a magical trip to Disneyland for Princess Lilbet's celebrations. Meghan Markle has shared a heartfelt video of the Sussex family as they celebrated Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday at Disneyland Florida. The Duchess of Sussex's Instagram showed the family enjoying rides at the California attraction, which has drawn heart-wrenching parallels with Harry's childhood trip to Florida's Walt Disney World with Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1993. The video shows an adorable clip of Archie, six, and Lili meeting Princess Elsa, from the Disney film Frozen. Meghan sported a Minnie Mouse hat in some of the snaps featured in the post, while another image shows a two-tier Little Mermaid-themed birthday cake for Lili. Meghan stated in the video's caption: 'Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!' The intimate family footage was reminiscent of photos taken of the duke when he was eight and his mother Diana took him and William to Walt Disney World. The royal siblings were photographed sitting at the front of a log on the Splash Mountain ride, with adults from their mother's entourage behind them and Diana seated at the back. Meghan's post follows a number of family snaps over recent days to mark Lili's fourth birthday, which is June 4. In one, she posted a comedic throwback video of herself twerking in a bid to bring on labour while pregnant with the princess, while another post featured a black and white snap of herself holding her daughter close. In another post, she described how Lili's relationshi p with Harry was 'the sweetest bond to watch unfold'. She shared two photos of the princess with her father the duke, adding: 'Daddy's little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!' The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's youngest child was born on June 4 2021 and was named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. Meghan and Harry have previously been keen to keep their kids away from the public eye, and usually don't show the little ones' faces on social media. In this newest post, their children are viewed from the back, emphasising the couples' wishes to protect their children from growing up in the spotlight. In one picture, Harry is seen on a kids' ride with Lilibet, and although she is facing the camera, her face is covered with a pink love heart emoji. A source close to the couple revealed to People last year that Harry is especially keen to stop Lili and Archie from being thrust into the public eye. The friend explained: "Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats." JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes share sweet update as relationship intensifies
After JoJo, 22, admitted earlier this week that her relationship with Love Island star Chris Hughes, 32, was no longer "platonic", she has shared more of their time together on social media Singer JoJo Siwa has shared a series of clips of her time in London over the last week, as her relationship with Love Island star Chris Hughes has continued to intensify. The couple, who appeared to fall for each other on Celebrity Big Brother, while JoJo was in a relationship, have spent lots of quality time together as JoJo joined her former co-star in the UK. The Dance Moms reality star, 22, has documented her time in London on TikTok, with Chris, 32, featuring heavily in her videos. Her most recent upload was captioned: "What a week and What a camera roll. Mini vlog coming next." As well as her tour, she has been hosting her Afternoon Tea Party, which saw her fans join her on a double-decker bus as she made her way around London. Adorned with sweet treats and sandwiches from "afternoon tea specialists" Brigit's Bakery, the bus took JoJo and her fans through the capital as they chatted and laughed. Her video included clips of her and Chris, including him kissing her on the head, them both in hysterics over his comedy glasses and the pair enjoying walks through the park with a coffee. One clip showed her taking part in an interview on Capital radio, in which she admitted, after months of speculation, that she and Chris are an item. Speaking to Capital Buzz on June 2, JoJo said: "I'm sure it's no secret to people, I am in a lovely relationship with a sweet boy named Christopher Hughes." She has also been forced to hit back at claims that her relationship with Chris is a publicity stunt. JoJo told The Guardian at the start of the week: "It's not platonic anymore, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way.' When asked about suggestions it's for PR, she added: "Clearly, you've never been around us. I won't ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now." She added: "Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never been in pain from smiling so much.' This Morning's Ben Shephard also brought the topic up with reality star Chris Hughes, who was left blushing live on air on Tuesday (June 3) when he congratulated him on his romance with JoJo. Chris shared a now-deleted photo showing the couple cuddling in bed together. He kissed her on the head while she lay on his chest, with Chris captioning the post: "Sleeping beauty." Speaking live on This Morning, Ben asked Chris: "Can we just say, because obviously we're all talking about, congratulations on the relationship. "We're all very excited. Have we decided on whether it's Hughes-wa? What's the power couple name?" A grinning Chris replied: "They call it CoJo. That's the one they're all going for. Chris-JoJo, it works. It rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? Thanks guys, I appreciate it." Meanwhile, on the Rosebud podcast with Gyles Brandreth, JoJo gushed about what drew her to Chris, saying: "When he first walked in, he was the only person that I knew what they looked like before coming into the show. "I was 'Oh that's the Chris guy'. Initially the first thing that I took in about him was he was a good hugger. I liked his hug. That felt like a nice embrace. And he smelt good." And now JoJo admits she is thinking long-term about a life with Chris, even wanting to make it permanent with a tattoo to commemorate their story. She said: "I want Chris to last for a lifetime," adding: "The Chris tattoo, I said in Big Brother that I would get this bamboo stick... and I want to get two other tattoos from the Big Brother house of memories that I have from in there."

Ryan Reynolds' £50m purchase, divorce from Hollywood actress and huge net worth
Ryan Reynolds has thrown himself into a host of business ventures since achieving Hollywood stardom, including the purchase of newly-promoted Championship club Wrexham Ryan Reynolds has partnered up with a Hollywood star to buy another sports team after the resounding success of Wrexham, which he co-owns with Rob McElhenney. The two actors have been instrumental in Wrexham's meteoric rise from non-league to the Championship in just four seasons. They became the first side in history to win three consecutive promotions in the top five leagues of English football. The fairytale rise has made Wrexham a world-renowned name, with the club just one promotion away from the lofty heights of the Premier League. But the Canadian has now taken another bold step in his sports empire by teaming up with his close friend, Hugh Jackman. Reynolds and his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star have announced that they now own an Australian sailing team named the BONDS Flying Roos. The rebranded team competes in the high-profile SailGP global sailing event, a competition backed by a diverse set of celebrity investors such as football superstar Kylian Mbappe, actress Anne Hathaway, F1 legend Sebastian Vettel and heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder. Reynolds' portfolio already includes stakes in Mexican football team Club Necaxa, Colombian side La Equidad and F1's Alpine. But for Jackman, the endeavour marks his first foray into sports ownership. "We're incredibly excited to set sail together in this new adventure," Reynolds and Jackman said in a statement. "Hugh brings a deep love for and pride in his home country as well as being an avid fan of sailing. He will also be bringing his overly clingy emotional support human along for the ride. Apologies in advance to Australia." The figure Reynolds and Jackman forked out for their new team hasn't been officially revealed but it's believed they splurged at least $50million (£37m) between them. And in light of the Wrexham co-owner's latest business move, we delve into how he amassed his colossal fortune and those who have supported him on his journey to stardom. Astonishing net worth Reynolds is reported to have an eye-watering net worth of around $400m (£295m), having been named as one of Hollywood's top earners. Forbes listed the movie star as 2024's second highest paid actor with a whopping haul of £79m, putting him just behind Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the fortune stakes. Reynolds owed much of his success last year to crowd-pleasers like the Marvel blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine, while family film IF and Emmy-winning documentary Welcome to Wrexham also contributed. Beyond his box office earnings, Reynolds has shown financial acumen with shrewd business ventures, acquiring up to a 20 per cent stake in American gin company Aviation Gin before selling it in a massive $600m (£443m) deal in 2020. He also sold a large stake in mobile network company Mint Mobile to T-Mobile with the $1.35billion (£997m) deal seeing him pocket over $300m (£220m). The Deadpool star has invested a considerable sum in Wrexham, with him and co-owner McElhenney reportedly splashing out over £20m of their own money on the football club since their 2020 takeover. In 2023, an episode of Welcome to Wrexham revealed that they had lost around $12m (£8.9m) since taking over the club, with Reynolds responding by saying: "I'm going to throw up." Life with famous wife after Hollywood divorce Reynolds has been married to Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively since 2012, after meeting her on the Green Lantern film set. As their romance blossomed, they quickly became one of Hollywood's most beloved power couples, exchanging vows in a private South Carolina wedding before going on to welcome four children - James, Inez, Betty and Olin - together. Lively has been seen attending Wrexham games at the Racecourse Ground and paid a gushing tribute to the city after they secured promotion to the Championship in April. "Back to back to back," she wrote in an Instagram post. "History was made. Congratulations to @wrexham_afc. I will never forget the love and elation in that town today. Thank you for sharing it with us always." "And to these two men, @robmcelhenney & @vancityreynolds ... the love and respect that pours out of you each and together exponentially grows and creates more joy, more possibilities, more magic, more history," the actress added. "This picture feels to me like a painting of all you do for so many, while being so present and appreciative of every moment." Before marrying Lively, Reynolds made headlines thanks to his relationships with some of the most famous women in show business. In 2004, he got engaged to fellow Canadian Alanis Morissette, having met the singer at Drew Barrymore's birthday party two years earlier. They split up in 2007, with Morrissette citing the pressures of fame as a contributing factor, but they have remained close friends ever since. Reynolds, whose romantic history in the noughties reportedly included names like Sandra Bullock, Melissa Joan Hart and Charlize Theron, soon began to date actress Scarlett Johansson. The couple married in 2008 in an intimate Vancouver ceremony. But by 2010, they had parted ways, with the pair admitting that the relationship fell apart due to their busy schedules and a lack of quality time spent together. "We work and then go home," the actress later admitted to Time Out. "I'd just stare at the wall for a few hours before I got to sleep." Friendship with Rob McElhenney While they have overseen one of the most remarkable stories in football history together, Reynolds and McElhenney weren't even friends when they decided to buy Wrexham, having only briefly interacted with each other online on a few occasions. Contrary to what many believe, it wasn't Reynolds who first had the idea to take over a football club, either. Instead, it was McElhenney who spearheaded the plans after being inspired by British comedy writer and football fan Humphrey Ker to invest in a team. Despite not being a big football fan himself, McElhenney was captivated by Ker's passion for Liverpool. As a result, Ker suggested he watch the Netflix series Sunderland 'Til I Die during the coronavirus lockdown. The show piqued the interest of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor further, leading him to want his own football club to make his own documentary about. After the actor determined his budget, Ker then helped him pick out some suitable candidates. Wrexham stood out to McElhenney due to the club's history, passionate fanbase and need for new investment in the wake of the pandemic. He then approached Reynolds, who had previously messaged him about his favourite Always Sunny scene, to secure additional funding and attach another high-profile name to the club. Reynolds was excited by the idea and did not want to merely be a sponsor, but a co-owner alongside McElhenney. In November 2020, the pair purchased the club for £2m and the rest is history, with the duo now being very good friends despite not meeting face-to-face until April 2021. McElhenney has since told People that Reynolds is one of his closest friends, describing him as a "kind and generous soul, and somebody you can rely on." Hailing the actor as a "truly inspiring person," he added: "Our families have grown incredibly close, and even though we live on opposite coasts, we feel like we're right next to each other."
