'F1 The Movie' premiere blends speed with cinema
Heineken 0.0 took centre stage at the South African premiere of F1 THE MOVIE, held at the IMAX Mall of Africa on 27 June.
The event was a vibrant celebration, blending the excitement of Formula 1 with the glamour of film.
The premiere attracted a lively crowd of South African celebrities and influencers. These included Girlie Lukhele, Khuli Chana, Bonko, Lesego Khoza, Zakes Bantwini, and Karabo Didi.
Radio host and celebrity F1 fan Anele Mdoda hosted the event, keeping the energy high throughout the evening, according to Top Gear South Africa.
Warrick Wyngaard, Marketing Communication Manager for Heineken South Africa, said, 'Culture shapes behaviour, and tonight's premiere proves that.
This film combines emotion, adrenaline, and culture—the same ingredients that make Heineken 0.0 a perfect fit.

Heineken 0.0 has been an official global partner of Apple Original Films' F1 THE MOVIE since its announcement.
The campaign, directed by the film's director, Joseph Kosinski and featured stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.
Wyngaard emphasised the shift in drinking habits in South Africa and beyond. 'More people are choosing low and no-alcohol options, whether for a night out or a lifestyle change.
We want to give people the freedom to choose what suits them best.' The premiere was a statement about cultural change.
'It was a proud moment to represent Heineken 0.0 here with support from the global brand team and many local celebrities.
This event showcased the incredible transformation in societal views we are seeing,' Wyngaard added.
Guests left inspired to embrace moderation and enjoy life's moments with confidence and a cold Heineken 0.0 in hand. F1 THE MOVIE is now showing in cinemas nationwide.

'Risked it all': Where is Nandipha Magudumana's husband?
Nandipha Maguduman's recent court appearance has left many South Africans questioning how and why she gave up her glamorous and successful life – and her marriage – to embark on a criminal spree with fellow-accused, Thabo Bester. The alleged couple are currently facing charges of orchestrating his 2022 prison escape, defrauding the public, and violating multiple bodies. They appeared at the Free State High Court for a pre-trial hearing, which has been postponed to 19 September. Their trial is set to begin on 10 November at the Bloemfontein High Court. Despite being a married woman, the celebrity aesthetics doctor allegedly embarked on an affair with Thabo Bester while he was behind bars for a rape and murder conviction in 2012. At the time, Nandipha was married to Mkhuseli Magudumana, who is a paediatric medical doctor. The former couple shares two daughters together: Ayana and Aziza. But according to an affidavit, Nandipha claimed she was Bester's 'customary wife.' In a tweet posted following her arrest, former friend Redi Tlhabi claims the couple divorced in 2022. Why Kaizer Chiefs will be a different team next season
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi feels his former club will be a different team next season. Amakhosi have finished outside the top 8 in back-to-back seasons for the first time in PSL history. Under Nasredine Nabi, the club has not shown much improvement; however, they ended their 10-year trophyless run when they won the Nedbank Cup. 'Chiefs went to Turkey last season and they did well in the early stages of the league. Remember there was a reshuffling of the technical team after the first assistant left and then they had to bring in another one,' Tsotetsi told Soccer Laduma . 'Going to Netherlands now, it will be good for them because they are going to be preparing against teams that will give them a challenge to prepare for the league. In Netherlands, they are usually good tactically, so I think it can help Chiefs in establishing a good structure in their line-up. I think they will come back a different team.
