#SHOWBIZ: Shila Amzah: I did not interfere in the singer's family matters
In a report by Harian Metro yesterday, Shila stated that she had merely offered feedback to a celebrity friend who had complained about the attitude of an unnamed individual described as "Datin".
This celebrity friend, a well-known actress, is the daughter of the legendary singer.
Many netizens believe the "Datin" in question is her stepmother.
"I was merely offering moral support to a good friend of mine. We didn't mention any names," Shila clarified, adding that both of them shared "similar predicaments" involving their loved ones.
Shila further explained, "When I told my friend I understood her problem, I wasn't referring to her family, but my own, particularly my own stepmum."
The incident in question occurred last Thursday at Stadium Merdeka, during rehearsals for the MR D.I.Y. 20th Anniversary Concert, where Shila alleged she was verbally "attacked" by the legendary singer in front of witnesses, prompting her to file a police report.
Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad revealed that the veteran singer was displeased with Shila for "interfering in his family matters."

Man arrested for threatening couple in dispute over Japan tours
Police said the suspect is known to the victims, a couple who run a travel agency, and is from a different travel agency. PETALING JAYA : Police have arrested a 36-year-old man for allegedly threatening a couple who operate a travel agency after a business dispute about tour packages to Japan. Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman said the incident took place at a restaurant in Dengkil on July 22 last year. Norhizam said the suspect is known to the victims and is from a different travel agency. 'The couple lodged a police report, and we have opened an investigation paper,' he said in a statement. Police will apply for a remand order tomorrow. When contacted, Norhizam confirmed that the suspect was linked to a part-time tour guide who claimed she was threatened with death and beaten by a fellow Malaysian tour operator at a rented house in Japan on Jan 24. However, the man was not the same person involved in the incident in Japan. Harian Metro reported today that the woman said the tour operator slammed her head against a bed frame, pulled her hair, and stomped on her with his boots, leaving her covered in bruises. The woman said she lodged a police report in Japan and reported the matter to the Malaysian high commission in Tokyo. She subsequently filed a report at the Sepang police headquarters and underwent medical examinations upon returning to Malaysia.

#SHOWBIZ: Shila Amzah's new song explores healing and hope
MALAYSIAN singer Shila Amzah returns with her latest single, 'Pernah Punya Aku' (Once Mine), a deeply personal work entirely written and composed by Shila herself. This song also marks a phase of maturity for Shila after 25 years as an artiste. 'Pernah Punya Aku' is Shila's latest offering after a long break from creating, and it arrives brimming with emotion and honesty. Recalling the writing process, Shila explained that the song was crafted in just two days while she was still in her post-partum confinement period. "At that time, my emotions were unstable. My husband suggested I try to express what I was feeling through song, and that's how 'Pernah Punya Aku' was born. "It wasn't just an outlet, but also a healing process for me," Shila said. The song was recorded in a very positive and efficient environment, with Genervie Kam acting as producer and music arranger. Kam, a highly respected female music director in Malaysia, provided full support to Shila throughout the recording process, which took only about 40 minutes to complete. "I felt very comfortable working with Genervie. She understood me as an artiste and a woman. The recording process was very smooth and effective," she said. Shila added that although the song touches on themes of disappointment and sadness in a relationship, she infused elements of hope and strength to make it a space for recovery for listeners. "Even though this song is sad, I want listeners to know that behind every pain there is a way out. "This song reflects the feelings of many women who have been left or betrayed, but at the same time, I included words of encouragement so they know they are not alone," she explained. Shila chose to let her mother hear the song first. "I dedicated this song to a woman who was cheated on and abandoned. I wanted my mother to hear it first because she is closer to that perspective. "According to her, the song was very touching and depicted what she had felt," she said. 'Pernah Punya Aku' is the first single from Shila's upcoming new full-length album, set to be released later this year. It serves as a way for her to let go of a buried story and open a new chapter in her life's journey as a mother, a woman, and an artiste. Produced by Nova Music, it is currently available for streaming on all music streaming platforms. The official music video for the song can be viewed on Nova Music's YouTube channel.

Shila Amzah confirms 'legendary' singer who lashed out at her is Amy Search
Shila Amzah (left) says she's open to reconciliation – but only if Amy changes his attitude. Photos: Shila Amzah/Instagram, Amy/Instagram Shila Amzah, who recently lodged a police report after being verbally attacked by a 'legendary' male singer, has confirmed the identity of the individual when speaking to the media at an event in Shah Alam on Sunday (July 13). While she didn't name him outright, the 34-year-old singer revealed that the person in question is the father of actress Nabila Huda – who is none other than Datuk Amy Search, 66. The incident occurred during a concert rehearsal on Thursday (July 10), when Shila was unexpectedly scolded on stage. She later took to Instagram to share her side of the story, saying she felt unsafe and subsequently filed a police report. Police have since recorded a statement from Amy. According to mStar – The Star 's Malay-language portal, the investigations revealed that Amy's actions stemmed from dissatisfaction with Shila, who was accused of meddling in his family matters. Shila said she was shocked by the outburst, especially given her familiarity with Amy over the years. 'In the 17 years I've known him in the industry, he's never been like this,' she shared in an InstaStory on Monday. 'I'm sorry I couldn't name him openly with all the cameras in front of me last night (Sunday) – it made the situation worse,' she added. Nabila's name was also dragged into the controversy after she posted a video allegedly 'mocking' a woman whose behaviour was said to have never changed. However, Shila said she had absolutely no involvement in the alleged conflict between Amy's wife, Datin Nourish Hassan, and his daughter, Nabila. 'When people say I'm disturbing someone else's family, that's completely untrue and baseless,' she said in an interview on Saturday. Shila explained that her support for Nabila was not an act of meddling in the family's affairs, but rather a show of empathy towards a fellow industry peer going through a similar experience. On Sunday, Shila said she is open to reconciling with Amy and resolving the conflict between them. However, Shila added that any effort to mend the situation would only happen if Amy shows a positive change in attitude. "To be honest, I'm in a difficult place (to make peace). It's not that I'm being egotistical or unwilling to reconcile – absolutely not. "I just want to see a change (from Amy). If there's a shift in attitude, then reconciliation can happen," she told mStar. The Patah Seribu singer also revealed that there hasn't been any serious conversation or meeting between them since the incident. While she hasn't ruled out the possibility of working with Amy again, Shila said she would be more cautious moving forward. 'I might hire a bodyguard if I have to work with him again. I'm not putting out any conditions to prevent him from working with me. 'I'm professional and have never had any issues with anyone over the past 25 years. Besides, this industry is small – we all need to know how to protect ourselves,' she added.
