Singer who performs with music legend does solo show at TRNSMT
While we love her co-singer stage duties for Beautiful South legend Paul Heaton, it was great to see Glasgow give a big cheer for the Bellshill-raised star.
She said with a smile: 'Hello Glasgow! It's so good to be home. Here we go!'

The 2024 single Lost in Blue quickly followed before she did an incredible cover of Scottish anthem Will Ye Go Lassie Go, a song made famous by The Corries.
She then teased what to expect from her debut album The Consequence of Love as she performed The Song of Old Glencoe and Heart of Mine, she sounded magnificent.
Reflecting on her career so far, she admitted: 'I used to busk just down the road from here and never once did I think I would on this stage.
'I don't live in Scotland anymore, but I'm making it my mission to come back.'
Dougie Maclean's Caledonia then delighted the crowd before she finished off in style with the Beautiful South hit Rotterdam.
She signed off: 'You're making a wee lassie from Bellshill's dream come true.'

We've found not one but two funny Scots comedies but there's a catch
Good For Her **** BBC Scotland/iPlayer REMEMBER the time we discovered a Scottish comedy that was genuinely funny? Only Child was the name, with Gregor Fisher and Greg McHugh as a bickering but devoted father and son. Recently commissioned for a second series, it was a comedy to claim as one of our own. That was a year ago. Without wishing to alarm anyone, lightning might have struck again. And again. Govan Fair Queen and Good For Her, both shown on BBC Scotland, had laugh-out-loud moments and characters you would happily give house room to. Written by Paul Black, Govan Fair Queen starred Elaine C Smith as a doting granny determined that her granddaughter (Harper Blue Hamilton) will right a historical wrong by lifting first prize in a local talent contest. But first they have to get past the head judge (Julie Wilson Nimmo). Smith was in familiar Two Doors Down/Rab C territory at first as the fag-smoking gran in a housecoat and slippers. But both she and the story soon branched out. I've watched plenty of talent show skits, but none as truly madly Glaswegian as the one here. Let's just say there's one visual gag that's in keeping with the local culture. Read more Good For Her was a Fast Show-style sketch fest written and performed by Zara Gladman. You may be familiar with some of her characters, chiefly Aileen, the West End mum, but there are plenty of others and one truly unforgettable cameo appearance. Whether she is taking on the misogynist trolling of women comedians - surely not! - indie fan boys or the ways of local newsreaders, Gladman hits the mark slyly but surely. Before you get too attached to Black and Gladman, I have to interrupt this love-in with an important announcement: Govan Fair Queen and Good for Her are just 10 and 20 minutes long, respectively. While there is nothing wrong with starting life as a short or a sketch - Still Game, after all, came from Chewin the Fat - it doesn't have the same ring of confidence about it as a pilot (the Two Doors Down Hogmanay special that led to seven series and counting). A short can make the material look as though there's more work to be done. Yet both performers are already well known on YouTube and TikTok, particularly Gladman. You might think this made the transition from social media to mainstream easier, but that only applies up to a point. The upside of social media is that anyone can upload their work and have it seen. The downside is that anyone can upload their work, etc. What was always a crowded market has become even more so. So how can an act make the leap from online to primetime (or even just BBC3), assuming they want to? Given the speed at which YouTube is growing it might be smart to make the platform their main home. Plenty do and are earning a decent living. Alternatively, there's ye olde school way of building up a fan base, getting your name out there, and praying somebody up there in commissioning likes you. It needs to happen fast, though. See earlier point about crowded markets. Both Gladman and Black now have impressive calling cards made at considerable expense and it is up to them, BBC Scotland, and anyone else so inclined, to spread the word. This kid, 4, features in Oasis' reunion tour alongside Scottish town
Oscar Borland features in the official programme for the rock and roll band, who recently returned to the stage for the first time in 16 years. The Gallagher brothers are playing to sold-out arenas across the globe and the four-year-old will feature in the pamphlet at all gigs. He said: "I have been a huge Oasis fan ever since I can remember. From 1996 onwards I was hooked. "As I have gotten older, and during the time period when the band had broken up, I have been really into collecting Oasis memorabilia. "As a result of this obsession, I got to know Brian Cannon, who designed a lot of things for the band at their peak, such as album covers. "We became good friends after I started going to his shop Mircobot Boutique, down south in Kendal, which sells merchandise from the band and other groups." He also opened up on the meaning behind Oscar's picture in the programme. Raymound continued: "Brian knew there would not be any new music on this tour and wanted to design the programme like an album cover, with 20 pages to fill. "The idea he came up with was to base the pictures in the programme around B-side songs that some fans think should have been singles. "I jokingly said about getting Oscar involved and amazingly it ended up happening. "Oasis have a song called Fade Away and the lyrics Brian referred to were 'The dreams we have as children fade away.' "Oscar was photographed on a football pitch in Erskine, throwing the Definitely Maybe Globe in the air and a flight case with Oasis on it beside him, the idea being he was dreaming of being in the band. "Noel Gallagher had the final say and he signed it off." Oscar was "very excited" to appear in the programme (Image: Supplied) Oasis will play three gigs at Murrayfield next month and Raymond, who will be attending two of the concerts with friends, and family, can't wait to see the programme in person. "I am really happy with how it turned out and can't wait to buy it at the gigs."

Outlander, now running into its eighth and final season, has been a sensation from the outset. The historical drama series is set in Scotland and features a cast chock-full of Scottish talent. Staff at The Kitchin, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Leith, were delighted to host members of the Outlander cast, sharing an image to social media of owner Tom Kitchin with the actors. Among the stars was John Hunter Bell, who played "Young Ian" Murray in Outlander as well as Bain in two of the Hobbit films, and Charles Vandervaart, famous for his portrayal of William Ransom in season seven of Outlander Edinburgh celebrity chef Tom Kitchin is captured posing with the actors. The post's caption reads: "It's always special to welcome members of the Outlander family to the restaurants." Charles commented on the post, saying: "Amazing time! Thanks for having us!" John added: "Out of this world!" The eatery is no stranger to famous guests. John and Charles are not even the first of the Outlander cast to visit The Kitchin. In October 2023, the Michelin-star establishment welcomed Duncan Lacroix, who plays Murtagh Frasier in the series. It also hosted series lead Sam Heughan, who plays titular character Jamie Fraser, in 2024. Seemingly a favourite among Outlander stars, Sam returned to The Kitchin earlier this year to mark his 45th birthday on April 30. Tom Kitchin, owner and founder of The Kitchin, also runs The Scran & Scallie in Edinburgh and Bonnie Badger in Gullane. Another eatery, Kora, previously on Bruntsfield Place, closed earlier this year. The Kitchin, located at 78 Commercial Quay in Leith, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12pm-2.30pm and 6pm-10pm.
