She posted the emotional message alongside a black and white painting that seemingly showed the iconic vocalist holding hands with her as a little girl.
'My Dad is the strongest and most resilient man I've ever known… and he's entirely committed to making a full recovery with ongoing physical-therapy treatments as he continues to regain his strength,' she added.

On Friday, the 'New York State of Mind' singer revealed he was forced to cancel all of his scheduled concerts amid his new health diagnosis.
'Normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) is a condition that happens when cerebrospinal fluid builds up inside your skull and presses on your brain,' according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The condition, which can cause cognitive difficulties, happens in people over 65 and can be treated with surgery and 'sometimes even reversible.'

The musician's team suggested that continuing to tour would worsen his brain disorder.
'This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance,' a statement on the 'The Longest Time' performer's Instagram page revealed on Friday. 'Under his doctor's instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period.'
'I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding,' the 'Uptown Girl' singer wrote.

All scheduled shows until July 3, 2026, have been canceled, including his show with Rod Stewart at Yankee Stadium on July 18, 2025, and his performance with Sting at Citi Field on August 21, 2025.
'The genuine care, empathy, and concern from everyone means so much to him,' Alexa said. 'It means a lot to me, too.'
She ended her Instagram post with lyrics from the five-time Grammy winner's song 'Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel).'
'Someday We'll All Be Gone / But Lullabies Go On And On / They Never Die / That's How You And I Will Be.' ⚓️ The music continues… 🕊️ All My Love, Alexa Ray,' she wrote.

Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming says she feels 'profoundly sad' on Father's Day
The wife of Bruce Willis, shared a touching message on Instagram Sunday, honoring not only her husband but also other dads "living with disability or disease." Heming Willis, who shares daughters Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn with the actor who was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023, posted a photo of Bruce cuddling one of their girls, along with a moving caption. "Happy Father's Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them," she wrote in the caption. "What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present. This photo says so much. Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes." Heming Willis also reflected on the emotional complexity of the day. "But to be fair to myself, these symbolic days stir up a lot. I'm profoundly sad today. I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family," she continued. Referencing a phrase often used in the frontotemporal dementia (FTD) community, she added, "As they say in our FTD community, It is what it is.' And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it's not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to." Concluding the post, she wrote, "Today, let's celebrate the badass dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us 💙 Onward." This isn't the first time Heming Willis has spoken publicly about the emotional realities of life since Willis' diagnosis. Last December, she shared a throwback photo marking the anniversary of their relationship, opening up about how those milestones have changed. "17 years of us ♥️," she wrote at the time. "Anniversaries used to bring excitement -- now, if I'm honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach." "I give myself 30 minutes to sit in the 'why him, why us,' to feel the anger and grief," she continued. "Then I shake it off and return to what is. And what is… is unconditional love." "I feel blessed to know it, and it's because of him," she said. "I'd do it all over again and again in a heartbeat 💞." In addition to the two daughters he shares with Heming Willis, Willis is also a father to Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, whom he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore. Heming Willis is currently working on a book about caregiving, set to be released in 2025.

Gen Z has more purpose, passion for hobbies – but new report reveals surprising truths: ‘See the rising concerns'
They're more purpose-driven, politically aware, and emotionally tuned-in than ever before – but not in the way you'd think. A new report has lifted the lid on the inner workings of Gen Z in 2025, and it paints a picture far deeper than the overused avocado on toast stereotype. Advertisement The Gen Z Wellbeing Index 2025 has revealed the subtle but powerful ways young Australians are reshaping their identities, values and mental health in an increasingly uncertain world. 5 Young Australians are reshaping their identities, values and mental health. Getty Images And some of the biggest changes are happening under the surface. On one hand, Gen Z is growing up. Advertisement The report by online youth site Year13, and Scape – the biggest purpose-built student accommodation owner and operator in Australia – found there has been a marked rise in internal resilience, with more young people reporting a stronger sense of purpose and passion for hobbies. Prominent issues such AI, political division, climate change and inequality are increasingly on their radar – and not just in a scroll-past it way. Advertisement Year13 Co-Founder Will Stubley told young Australians are under increasing pressure. 5 AI, political division, climate change and inequality are increasingly on Gen Z's radar, according to the report by online youth site Year13 REUTERS 'We can see the rising concerns of climate change, war and Artificial Intelligence sit alongside the perennial problems of youth like figuring out their future, fatigue and burnout,' Stubley said. 'Figuring out their future in particular continues to be the most widespread problem for youth. 'As industries and technology are evolving and the cost of living stays high, many Gen Zs are feeling even more pressure to make the right decisions about their future,' he said. Advertisement 'They want to know opportunity lies ahead of them but with so much change going on around us it means it's never been more important to show young people how they can fit into the modern world. 5 'They want to know opportunity lies ahead of them but with so much change going on around us it means it's never been more important to show young people how they can fit into the modern world,' Year13 Co-Founder Will Stubley said. DragonImages – 'The data shows a clear need for greater support around the transition from school to work as young people seek out future-focused pathways to give them secure careers. If we want to improve wellbeing we need to improve their readiness for the workforce,' Stubley said. Gen Z is paying attention, and they're feeling it. The emotional toll is showing up in real terms, with OCD diagnoses on the rise, and major stressors such as education, unemployment and politics taking centre stage in their lives. Even politics, once a background noise for many, has doubled in prevalence as a reported wellbeing stressor. 5 'The data shows a clear need for greater support around the transition from school to work as young people seek out future-focused pathways to give them secure careers,' Stubley said. Tj – Concern about societal and political division has doubled from 22 per cent last year to 44 per cent today among young people, while it nearly doubled for Artificial Intelligence (42 per cent, up from 24 per cent) as well. Western Australian teen Milla Penberthy believes these external factors are definitely taking a toll on her generation. Advertisement 'Most of us are a very progressive group of people and we are pushing for these rights,' the 18-year-old told Despite AI being a major concern for her peers, Ms Penberthy believes we should learn to work with it rather than fear it. 'It is such a helpful thing to have in our lives. I can see where the fear comes from become it's such a new concept, but we just need to remember that it's there to help us,' she said. Advertisement Lyvia is an international student from Malaysia who has been living in Australia for three years. The 24-year-old said that as an international student she has to 'be updated on the political side of things.' 'Especially when it comes to things about my visa. You need to be watching to see what's changing and what's being removed,' she told Both Penberthy and Lyvia said financial stress is at the forefront of their minds as they navigate living away from home. Advertisement 'Obviously the cost of living in Sydney is very bad at the moment. So that's definitely a contributing stress factor,' Penberthy said. In their quest to cope, Gen Z is diversifying their toolkit – swapping bar nights and fitbits for memes, listening to music and music. 5 'Most of us are a very progressive group of people and we are pushing for these rights,' teen Milla Penberthy said. Jacob Lund – Screen based distractions such as gaming and social media are still big, but a noticeable swing towards non-digital self-soothing is on the rise. Advertisement Lyvia told she founds comfort from the stressors of daily life with movies, and in her first year of her university studies enjoyed going swimming and volunteering, but said these days she is studying and working so much that she can't find the time for them. Penberthy said she prefers to self-soothe offline, making sure she has time to pursue her love for netball and swimming. 'I love netball and swimming. I try to get myself out of my room at least once a day doing some form of exercise,' she said. Here's the curveball: Young Aussies are drinking and vaping significantly less. The number who never touched alcohol has jumped from 13 percent to 22 percent, and daily vaping rates have nearly halved. It's a fay cry from the doom-and-gloom headlines that once painted them as lost in a haze of nicotine and cheap savvy b. 'With all the new research that's coming through about how bad alcohol and vaping are, our generation seems to be realising that we need to stop doing it or decrease our use,' Penberthy said. 'People are definitely becoming more aware.' However, confidence levels remain strikingly low, especially when it comes to self-image, with just 3 per of the broader Gen Z population reporting feeling 'extremely confident' about their looks. Interestingly, not all young Aussies are faring the same. Scape residents, according to the report, are the standouts – reporting better sleep, stronger mental health, and more energised morning than their national peers. Only 6 percent reported poor mental health, compared to 17 percent of the broader population. For all changes however, some things haven't budged. Young Aussies still aren't eating enough fruit and veggies, and sleephabits remain stuck – 78 percent identifying as night owls, with phones, stress and anxiety keeping them awake. Perhaps most telling is what hasn't changed at all: the ever-present pressure of 'figuring out my future.' In a world that's changing fast, that looming question still hangs heavy over Gen Z's heads. Bottom line? Gen Z isn't spiralling – they're evolving. Quietly quitting the chaos, they're creating new paths to resilience, questioning the status quo, and taking their mental health more seriously than ever. But the pressure of an unstable world continues to shadow their progress. And while some might still dismiss them as chronically online or 'too sensitive', the data shows something else entirely: my generation might just be the most self-aware – and socially conscious – we've seen yet.

Ryan Teddler On Trump Military Parade And Protests
Ryan Tedder is gaining attention for his "terrible" take on Donald Trump's military parade and the "No Kings" protests. Yesterday, demonstrators from all over the country took to the streets to protest Donald Trump and the expensive military parade he had on the same day, which coincided with his 79th birthday. While the protests drew millions, the parade appeared to have a much lower turnout than the 200,000 people that were expected. Ryan wasn't happy to see that, and yesterday, he took to Instagram to criticize people for protesting instead of "celebrating" our troops. "I have around 20 family members & grandparents that all fought in wars from the revolutionary war (actually) thru to WWII / Korea," he wrote. "All politics & parties and righteous indignation aside it's a super bummer that instead of celebrating the 250th anniversary of the USA ARMY and all those who have fought and died on our protesting." Ryan clarified that he doesn't identify as a Democrat or Republican. "I haven't been a card carrying political member of either side in over 20 years & think at this point everything is absurd 99% of the time," he wrote. "But I'd like to say THANKYOU to all of the Army service members active and retired and those who have given their lives to protect our protest." His post quickly went viral online, with many viewers criticizing the OneRepublic singer for his "ignorant" take. "Oh gosh, this is terrible," one person wrote as another said, "I'm so disappointed." "Why is everything I hear about this man proof that he SUCKS lmaoooo," wrote a third while someone else argued that he'd definitely "picked a side." "Dude mustve missed the part where veterans got dragged away by police for protesting this parade," someone else said. "They understand what fighting and protecting this country means." Another was quick to point out, "Soldiers are currently arresting civilians on American soil, Ryan." Some also noted that the military is celebrated multiple times a year, including Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and July 4, with one user writing, "You're not going to question why this event had to happen on Trump's birthday? (Yes June 14th does also happen to be the incorporation of the US Army and this year is 250, a landmark number, but he's been trying to do this parade since his first term. It's just a lucky coincidence the dates are the same that works in his favor.) You're not grateful that people didn't try to rain on his parade (Mother Nature helped with that one) and interrupt the celebration of the military, but instead chose to peacefully gather elsewhere? Loser behavior." And someone else said Ryan's post is exactly why it's important to know the artists you're supporting: "PSA that he isn't just the lead of One Republic, but he has worked closely with so many artists to write/produce their music like Taylor Swift, Tate McRae, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato the list goes ON and ON and it's IMPOSSIBLE to list all the songs he is involved in. People like this have their hands all over the music industry and looking at the credits to see who you support matters." What do you all make of Ryan's comments? Let me know below.
