'So you've got a couple of wisdom teeth coming in,' said Claire, when the lad returned home.
From behind his newspaper, Claire's husband muttered: 'That can't be right. I've never seen any evidence of wisdom. Are you sure they aren't eejit teeth?'

More teenage shenanigans.
Reader Nick Yorke went with his 17-year-old son to Glasgow to see the Fantastic Four movie.
As the pair returned home on the train, Nick's son realised, to his horror, that his phone was out of charge, meaning he wouldn't be able to sit hypnotised by TikTok videos for the remainder of the journey.
Nick told the boy that all was not lost, and the journey might not be a total wash-out.
'We could just, y'know, chat for a bit,' said Nick hopefully.
Nick's son merely shrugged, then said: 'Yeah, that… or I could sit here in despair.'
After a beat, the boy concluded: 'I'll just sit here in despair.'

The post was captioned: "The confetti glass candle from Home Bargains looks STUNNING when all lit up at night!" The post racked up 1.5k likes and more than 1,000 comments from keen shoppers. Among them, one person said: "Right off I go to Home Bargains, thank you." A second told a friend the candle would "look lovely in a cosy corner." A third added: "I need this!!" A fourth shopper said: "They smell amazing too, I bought two the other day." A fifth wrote: "They're £5.99, I work for Home Bargains. They smell great and look nice when lit." A different person said: "Purchased one for myself and a few as gifts yesterday, they are so pretty. Also had a brown version." Another added: "Those are so nice, I need to go!" Others were quick to ask friends to pick one up if they spotted the candle in stores. Some tagged friends and planned their next trip to Home Bargains. In other Home Bargains news, shoppers were going wild over a "massive" £2 beauty product that shoppers are convinced they "needed." The watermelon and cherry lip balms became a sensation after a shopper featured them on social media, with fans absolutely thrilled by the selection. A clip shared by TikTok influencer Paula Pronobis racked up more than 60,000 views and over 5,000 likes. She said: "Massive lip balm at Home Bargains. £1.99. Never seen anything like it. Want the cherry one!"

Moment man 'knocked out' on packed Royal Mile as tourists looked on
Footage shows the brawl erupting beside a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe. Alarming footage circulating online captured the moment a brawl broke out while crowds gathered around a Fringe performance in Edinburgh city centre. Believed to have been taken on August 1, the TikTok clip shows the moment two men got into an altercation with one man seemingly being knocked out. A man with a grey jumper and wearing a cap appears to get a smaller man dressed in black in a headlock before delivering several blows to the man's head and face, reports Edinburgh Live. In the clip, the man in black can be seen hitting the deck with others watching the disturbance unfold at Hunter Square. A performer from the US can be heard in the background as the incident unfolds while tourists can be heard gasping as each blow is delivered. The male in the grey jumper hurriedly walks away from the scene after the other man fell to the ground. It is not known what led to the fight or if the man in black sustained serious injuries. Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
