Gorakhpur: A 17-year-old social media content creator was allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted by a video blogger during a shoot at a club in Gorakhpur's Khorabar area. Nagpur: A 25-year-old interior designer, Faizan Ansari, was arrested by Wathoda police on charges of rape after allegedly refusing to marry a 23-year-old Mehendi artist with whom he was in a relationship with for three years. The couple, who first met in school and later reconnected through Instagram, developed a friendship that turned physical between July 26, 2020, and May 5, 2025. According to the complainant, Faizan lured her with the promise of marriage and took advantage of their friendship to engage in repeated non-consensual physical intercourse. The incidents reportedly occurred within the jurisdiction of the Wathoda police station, which included their first encounter at a friend's place and later at a hotel in Dhantoli during their courtship. The complainant alleged that Faizan's refusal to marry her stemmed from suspicions of her infidelity, which led to the breakdown of their relationship.
