This brings back such great memories."

Coolie: Will Aamir Khan's cameo be enough to elevate Rajinikanth's Tamil gangster drama in Hindi?
Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of Coolie, one of the biggest films of the year. The film has created a buzz among fans as it features the veteran mass hero in a new avatar. It has been dubbed in Hindi as Coolie The Powerhouse. This version will be released alongside the original Tamil version on August 14. Aamir Khan essays a key role in the gangster drama and many expect him to drive the film's business in Hindi. This, however, may not be the case. Coolie: A single star alone can't benefit the film, says trade analyst Aamir Khan has a cameo in Coolie and features prominently in the trailer. He is regarded as one of Bollywood's biggest names and recently gave strong proof of his star power with Sitaare Zameen Par, which grossed Rs 263 crore (approx) at the box office and emerged as a blockbuster. His popularity, however, may not be enough to compel the audience to watch Coolie in Hindi. Rohit Jaiswal, a trade analyst, told Indiatimes that it is 'irrelevant' to discuss Aamir's impact on Coolie's collections in Hindi as 'no single star' can determine the date of a film. 'The trailer was okay. Aamir is a star but ultimately we go to watch a film based on the content. If the content is good, Coolie will be a success. However, I don't see his involvement alone benefiting the business,' he said. Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth's previous release, too didn't find many takers in Hindi despite the fact that it featured Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a key role. The action thriller collected just Rs 4.51 crore in Hindi and ended up as a flop. It remains to be seen whether Coolie, which is set to clash with War 2, does better than Vettaiyan on this front. About Coolie Coolie is a gangster drama directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It revolves around a former kingpin with an axe to grind with some old foes. The film also explores the murky world of gold smuggling. Shruti Haasan makes an effortlessly stunning entry!❣️ #CoolieUnleashed ✨@rajinikanth @Dir_Lokesh @anirudhofficial #AamirKhan @iamnagarjuna @nimmaupendra #SathyaRaj #SoubinShahir @shrutihaasan #Coolie #CoolieFromAug14 The trailer suggests that it features action sequences, punch dialogues, and catchy songs. The cast is headlined by Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Nagarjuna, and Shruti Haasan. It will hit the screens on August 14 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2. Shruti Haasan says Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajinikanth were supportive when she was ‘doubtful' of her career
Actor Shruti Haasan was reeling from a slate of flops like Luck in Hindi, Anaganaga O Dheerudu in Telugu and more when she landed the role of Janani in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 2012 romantic tragedy 3. The film also saw Dhanush, who was married to Aishwarya, as the lead actor. In an interview with Galatta Plus, Shruti spoke of how Dhanush and Aishwarya supported her at a low point in her career. (Also Read: Shruti Haasan says 3 with Dhanush would be a 'rage' beyond Kolaveri Di if it were released today: Worse than heartbreak) Dhanush and Shruti Haasan co-starred in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's romantic drama 3. Shruti Haasan on Dhanush's support Shruti spoke about how 3, which initially opened to mixed reviews and low box office collections but has gained cult status through the years, changed her career. She also credited Dhanush and Aishwarya for supporting her during a low time. 'There was a lot of faith (in me) from the team and a lot of support. Acting opposite Dhanush definitely helped. He's a really supportive co-star, especially at that time in my life. I had a lot of doubts, so he was very encouraging, he and Aishwarya (Rajinikanth). My role was so pivotal to the story, too. I always perform under pressure when I'm given responsibility. I realised that then, and the wall broke. After that, my personality also changed a lot,' said Shruti. This is not the first time Shruti has spoken about her fondness for 3. In an interview with Prema last month, she said, 'I wish 3 was a more commercial success. I feel like if that film were released now, it would've been a rage. Much bigger than just the Kolaveri song.' 3 tells the story of a man suffering from bipolar disorder who takes his life to protect his wife. The film shows the wife struggling to piece together the puzzle of his death. Upcoming work Shruti will soon be seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie with Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir and Aamir Khan as her co-stars. The film will be released in theatres on 14 August. Dhanush is writing, directing, producing and starring in Idly Kadai with Nithya Menen. He is also starring in Aanand L Rai's Tere Ishk Mein with Kriti Sanon.
