Oregon Football set to host several 5-Star recruits on official visits this weekend
The summer stretch of recruiting has arrived in the world of college football, and the Oregon Ducks are kicking things off with a massive weekend of official visits in Eugene over the weekend.
It has been a relatively slow stretch for Dan Lanning in the 2026 recruiting cycle, with Oregon currently holding the No. 28 class in the nation. Still, with the number of high-profile players visiting Eugene over the next two months, things could pick up in a hurry. Tight end Kendre Harrison is the only 5-star player that the Ducks have committed at the moment, but over a dozen 5-star players will be in Eugene this summer checking out Oregon.
This incredibly crucial stretch of visits starts this weekend, and the Ducks are going big to open things up, hosting some of the top-ranked players in the nation. Here's a look at who is confirmed to be heading to Eugene this weekend.

Five-star Class of 2026 recruit Immanuel Iheanacho narrowed his list to the top four schools heading into the summer on Friday. The four schools are the only ones he has officially visited, and he plans to announce his commitment on Aug. 5. Heading into June, Iheanacho indicated that Oregon is his first option. 'Oregon is the top school, but these official visits will play a big part in my final decision,' he told On3 reporter Chad Simmons. 'My relationship with the coaches at Oregon is what has them at the top. I like the staff a lot, and we can talk about anything.' Iheanacho has already visited the Dan Lanning-led Ducks twice and left pleased both times. Advertisement 'My second visit there was great,' he continued. 'I loved my first one, too. My parents also love Oregon, so it helps to get their opinion. The connection with the coaching staff is really the biggest thing for me with Oregon.' The Ducks are well known for their strong offensive line, so adding Iheanacho would be a solid choice. He showcased his superior blocking skills as a 6-foot-6, 345-pound lineman in the Under Armor All-American Game on Jan. 2 in Deland, Florida, and the Polynesian Bowl on Jan. 16 in Honolulu. This season as a junior, he was named a MaxPreps All-American for not allowing a single sack the entire season en route to helping Georgetown Prep win its fifth Interstate Athletic Conference title in six years, per his 247 Sports player profile. Michigan State picks up commitment from 3-star CB KJ Deriso of Fayetteville, Ga. Michigan State football added to its 2026 class on Friday afternoon thanks to a commitment from a cornerback prospect from SEC country. KJ Deriso of Fayetteville, Ga. announced his commitment to Michigan State on Friday, becoming the Spartans' seventh commitment in the 2026 class. Deriso announced his commitment to the Spartans via a post on his Instagram account. Deriso is a three-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 87 on 247Sports. He is ranked as the No. 79 cornerback in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. According to Justin Thind of 247Sports, Deriso has cancelled his official visit to Kentucky and is locked in with the Spartans following his commitment. Michigan State beat out Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi State, Syracuse, Tulane, UCF and a host of group of five schools for Deriso's commitment. Report: Wisconsin football 2025 opponent loses top offensive weapon to significant injury Wisconsin football may face a less-than-full-strength Oregon Ducks team when the two meet in Eugene, Oregon, on Oct. 25, 2025. That is the current sentiment after On3's Pete Nakos reported on Friday that Ducks standout wide receiver Evan Stewart suffered a torn patellar tendon during practice and will miss anywhere between three and 12 months. Many others have since confirmed the news, with varying levels of specifics. ESPN's Pete Thamel said that Stewart "suffered a knee injury that's expected to impact his availability for the 2025 season," while 247Sports' Matt Zenitz only reported that the injury is "feared to be significant." While the Badgers and Ducks do not meet until Week 9 of the 2025 season (4 1/2 months from the time of the report), Stewart's status for that matchup appears already in doubt. The 5-foot-11 wideout played a significant role on the Ducks in 2024, catching 48 passes for 613 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Those totals were each second-most among Oregon wide receivers, trailing only second-team All-Big Ten WR Tez Johnson. With Johnson off to the NFL, Stewart was a popular breakout pick entering 2025. The status of this injury will obviously dictate whether that comes to fruition. The rising senior originally began his career at Texas A&M, which he joined as a five-star recruit and the No. 11 overall player in the class of 2022. He appeared in 18 games over two seasons with the Aggies, catching a combined 91 passes for 1,163 receiving yards and six scores. The 2025 Oregon Ducks will look far different from the team that narrowly edged Wisconsin in Week 12 of last season. The team returns just 43% (No. 104 nationally) of its production, with most of its top contributors gone to the NFL. However, it still ranks among the top teams in the Big Ten and the entire sport, per both ESPN SP+ and its Football Power Index. Wisconsin is in a similar situation, though for a different reason. Luke Fickell overhauled the program's offense this offseason, hiring coordinator Jeff Grimes and adding Maryland transfer quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. Unfortunately, like Oregon, Wisconsin saw its season outlook change due to an offseason injury, as starting left tackle Kevin Heywood suffered a season-ending ACL injury during spring practice. With or without Stewart on the field, the Badgers are likely to be a significant underdog when they visit the Ducks.
