Devaswom vigilance wing must inspect all food outlets in Sabarimala at least once a week, Kerala HC
The court was considering a petition filed by the Akhila Bharatheeya Ayyappa Seva Sangam, seeking a directive to govt officials to ensure that food and beverages served at Sabarimala and Erumeli are hygienic and that no noxious substances or contaminated water are used or distributed to pilgrims, even if provided free of cost. Expressing concern over allegations that some food stalls in Erumeli had been preparing food in unhealthy and unhygienic conditions, unnoticed by any of the authorities deployed at Sabarimala during the festive season, the court said it was bewildered and dismayed.
The bench of Justices Raja Vijayaraghavan and K V Jayakumar further directed that, before the commencement of each festive season, the govt shall ensure meetings of the various agencies and instrumentalities deployed at Sabarimala to guarantee the availability of safe drinking water and hygienic food. The Sabarimala special commissioner shall examine the reports of the chief vigilance officer, Sabarimala, on this issue and report the matter to the court if necessary.

Dr. Paes passed away on Thursday at 80 due to age-related illness and Parkinson's disease. He was known as a multifaceted sportsman who excelled as a hockey midfielder and rugby player before becoming a prominent sports medicine expert. "Dr Paes's absence will always remain in the hearts of sports fans, sports fraternities, and many other hockey players. As a player, as a doctor, he has supported the players a lot," Tirkey told PTI. "During the camp, he used to stay with the team, take care of the players, treat them, for many years, free of cost. UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurates Regency Hospital in Gorakhpur
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath (ANI) GORAKHPUR: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inaugurated Regency Hospital at Medical College Road in Gulharia, Gorakhpur. Addressing the event, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the hospital has "the biggest ICU to date," mentioning its 80-bed ICU capacity and noted that the hospital will benefit over five crore people. "The 80-bed ICU is the biggest ICU to date. You will see in the entire hospital how all precautions have been taken, which often leads to the spread of infection. If attention is not paid to any hospital, then it can become a medium of infection. This superspeciality hospital will become an excellent centre of health care for the five crore population of this region. There is no doubt about that. He said this plan will connect pilgrimage sites like Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, and Gokul with the memories of the Dwapar Yuga. He said, "Our government is committed to respecting the sentiments of revered saints and enriching the Braj region. We are making possible the works which were once considered impossible." He also mentioned the ropeway facility in Barsana, calling it a great relief for the elderly. He said, "This is the benefit of development, that we are continuously working for the convenience and safety of devotees". The chief minister noted that India has completed 78 years of independence and highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's vision of new resolutions for the centenary in 2047.
