Standards Authority warns against buying & eating Maragatty chicken stock

The Yemeni Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Authority has issued a warning to consumers and traders not to buy or sell the Maragatty chicken stock product of Egyptian origin.
The authority explained in a statement that this product contains prohibited artificial colors that are forbidden to be used in food products due to the negative effects they may cause on consumer health... Alerting consumers, wholesalers and retailers from buying or selling it.
It called on citizens to avoid consuming this product and to report if they discover its presence in the market on the Authority's toll-free number 8001222.
The Authority indicated that it is following up the necessary procedures to ensure that the markets are free of the product in order to preserve the health of the consumer...Emphasizing that the necessary measures will be taken against violators.

Zakat authority launches project to distribute 10,000 cash crop baskets
Sana'a - Saba: The General Authority of Zakat launched on Wednesday the eighth phase of the cash crop distribution project under the slogan "Food and Sufficiency," targeting 10,000 poor families. At the launch, First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah congratulated the Zakat Authority on the launch of the project, which coincides with Eid al-Adha, especially since part of the project covers Eid requirements for poor families, including honey, almonds, raisins, sesame, coffee, and other crops. Miftah pointed out that the project is a bounty and blessing from Yemen, thanks to the efforts of farmers and producers and the efforts of Zakat Authority employees, reaching the poor and needy. He noted the launch of the project and the preceding packaging, roasting, and distribution of cash crop baskets to the poor, bringing joy to their hearts. Sheikh Miftah urged those in charge of the Zakat Authority to investigate and ensure that Zakat is delivered to those most in need. For his part, Ali al-Saqqaf, Deputy Director of the Zakat Authority, praised the farmers' initiative to pay their Zakat on cash crops, a right God Almighty has enjoined upon the poor, out of their good will, and hand it over to the Zakat Authority for distribution to those who deserve it. He stated that the project stems from the efforts of the Authority's staff and the farmers' initiative to distribute 10,000 baskets at a cost of 400 million riyals, with each basket costing 40,000 riyals. The basket benefits 10,000 beneficiaries, including poor families, people with special needs, thalassemia patients, war wounded and disabled, and members of African communities. Al-Saqqaf noted that in-kind Zakat is steadily increasing due to the trust of zakat payers in the Zakat Authority and its role in distributing Zakat to its legitimate recipients. Awqaf Authority launches "Ita'am" Project for poor, needy, & frontline defenders
Sana'a - Saba: The General Authority of Awqaf launched on Wednesday the "Ita'am" (Feeding) project by distributing 130 heads of cattle to the poor, needy, and frontline defenders. During the launch ceremony, attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Miftah, the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, praised the efforts and contributions of Awqaf Authority in addressing the needs of the poor, needy, and those defending the nation on the frontlines through humanitarian charity projects that alleviate their suffering and meet some of their needs. He emphasized the righteousness of Yemen's path under divine leadership, which has restored the country's dignity and honor. Minister Al-Saadi also highlighted Yemen's honorable stance in supporting the Palestinian people, a position made possible only by the wise leadership bestowed upon the nation by God. He urged Awqaf Authority to implement more charitable projects, especially under the current circumstances. For his part, the Chairman of the General Authority of Awqaf, Scholar Abdul-Majeed Al-Houthi, stated that the Authority has launched the "Ita'am" project for the fifth consecutive year, distributing sacrificial meat to the poor, needy, orphanages, centers for the blind, and frontline defenders, in line with its responsibility to manage endowment funds according to donors' intentions. He described the support provided to the frontline defenders and families of martyrs as modest compared to their sacrifices, which have shattered the false prestige of America. Al-Houthi noted that the Authority timed this project to coincide with Eid al-Adha, making the occasion one of generosity and giving. Scholar Al-Houthi stressed that a strong connection with God leads to sacrifice and benevolence, affirming that Yemen's absolute submission to God has enabled its people to stand firm in supporting Gaza and confronting the tyrants of the era, despite the immense sacrifices made. He reiterated Yemen's sincere stance, rooted in the fear of God, at a time when Arab and Islamic regimes have failed to aid their Palestinian brethren. "If the Yemeni people could deliver aid to Gaza, they would sacrifice their own provisions for their Palestinian brothers, who face genocide, starvation, and a criminal siege by the Zionist entity—amid shameful silence from Islamic nations and disgraceful inaction by Arab regimes," he said. In turn, the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Scholar Taha Al-Hadhari, and the Director of Al-Nour Center for the Blind, Hassan Ismail, commended the Awqaf Authority's dedication to implementing charitable projects targeting the poor and frontline defenders, particularly on this sacred religious occasion.
