The JEC Tower in Jeddah will be taller than Dubai's Burj Khalifa (R).
JEC Tower: Saudi Arabia is building the world's tallest skyscraper in Jeddah city which will dwarf even the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai in sheer size and arguably magnificence. According to details, the Jeddah Economic Company (JEC) Tower, formerly known as the Kingdom Tower, which is being developed under Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman's ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 project, will be the tallest building on the planet upon its completion.
How tall will be the JEC tower in Jeddah?
As per Saudi media reports, the JEC tower will be a staggering 3,280 feet tall, making it 564 feet taller than Dubai's Burj Khalifa, currently considered the tallest building in the world with a height of 2,716 feet. The gargantuan project is being spearheaded by Saudi Prince Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud as part of the larger Saudi Vision 2030 project, and estimated to be completed sometime in 2028.
Who designed the JEC Tower?
Interestingly, the JEC Tower is being designed by famous architects Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, with Smith being no stranger to towering feats as he has also designed Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The duo are hoping to surpass their previous work by building the JEC Tower, which would likely become a testament of their skill for decades to come.
The design of JEC Tower by Smith and Gill aims to build structure that makes a bold statement but seamlessly harmonizes with its surroundings, and does not stand out like a proverbial sore thumb in the desert city. The architects have given the tower a sleek, aerodynamic form, which is designed to withstand harsh desert winds, while its advanced materials and construction techniques are poised to push the limits of gravity.
How much will the JEC Tower cost?
According to various estimates, the JEC Tower will cost an estimated $1.2 billion to construct, while its surround Kingdom City project is expected to cost a whopping $20 billion. The skyscraper will have 157 with 59 elevators, and will house a luxury hotel, high-end residences, and expansive office spaces.
The JEC Tower will also feature the world's highest observation point, which will offer breathtaking panoramic views of the mesmerizing Jeddah cityscape from a height of over 3000 feet.
The tower is scheduled for completion in 2028.

Laurus is well-positioned to continue evolving as a diversified CDMO and CMO leader, underpinned by a strong pipeline, enabling technologies, and commercial excellence. The management anticipates operating margins will improve further, supported by continued enhancements in utilization rates and product mix optimisation. Looking ahead, Laurus, in its FY25 annual report, said the company is committed to scaling its global CDMO footprint through continuous capacity expansion and technology investments while advancing into high-value specialty service capabilities such as biologics and gene therapy. Considering cash accruals generated by the company in the recent past and estimated accruals, it is expected that the company would be able to meet its debt obligations comfortably after meeting its capex and increased working capital requirements, CareEdge Ratings said in its rationale dated July 1, 2025.

Silver Price Outlook 2025: Will Silver Continue To Shine More After A Record Run?

Last Updated: Silver Price Outlook 2025: The outlook for silver over the next 6–12 months is positive, with expectations of increase in silver prices. Silver Price Outlook 2025: The silver price saw a rally in 2025 to reach a record 13-year high, especially in the last two months embroiled with geopolitical uncertainty due to India-Pakistan and Iran-Israel tensions and supply-demand constraints. On a Year-To-Date basis, Silver rose almost 22.25 per cent to reach USD 36.11 per ounce in 2025. At the start of the year, it hovered in the price range of USD 26-28 per ounce. Analysts say factors such as buoyant industrial demand and supply constraints due to geopolitical tensions could be the major factor in pushing the silver price in north. Even as global tensions ease and equity markets strengthen, silver maintains its relevance due to sustained industrial consumption and constrained supply, said Aksha Kamboj, VP, India Bullion & Jewellers Association (IBJA) and Executive Chairperson, Aspect Global Ventures. Is Silver Still Cheaper Than Gold? Experts believe that silver is still cheaper than gold despite the rally to hit 13-year high. They see the upside potential in the near future to give good returns. The gold-silver ratio has dropped from above 100 to about 93, showing that silver has been gaining compared to gold. Silver is still trading well below its 2011 peak of $50, and we believe there is still room for further upside in the current market, argued Satish Dondapati, fund manager of Kotak AMC. Currently trading around Rs 110,000 per kg, Kamboj explained, silver is increasingly seen not just as a lower-cost safe haven, but as a vital industrial metal essential to sectors such as solar energy, electronics, and clean technology. She added while gold embodies tradition and wealth preservation, silver offers accessibility and growth potential making it not just a secondary choice, but a strategic complement. Silver Future Outlook 2025 The outlook for silver over the next 6–12 months is positive, with expectations of increase in silver prices driven by strong industrial demand, supply constraints, weakening US dollar and macroeconomic factors, said Dondapati. Dondapati said if it drops further to 70, silver could reach around $48.57 per ounce. He added silver has strong long-term potential, but investors should be cautious of risks like high price volatility, a stronger U.S. dollar, or rising interest rates.
