All About Austin Swift, Taylor Swift's Little Brother

Gather around because we're here to discuss Austin Swift, who—as anyone with even a fledgling interest in pop culture knows—is Taylor Swift's younger brother. Austin is a consistent support in Taylor's life, though he largely stays out of the spotlight. Or more like skirts the edges of it. Like, here he is dressed as Santa while accompanying Tay to a Chiefs game on Christmas Day. As you can see, the man has truly mastered the art of being simultaneously low-key and completely extra!
Anyway, Taylor and Austin are clearly close (reminder that she wrote the lyrics "god smiles on my little brother, inside and out, he's better than I am" 😭), so time to get to know him better. Starting with the fact that....
During her August 2025 New Heights podcast appearance, Tay told Travis and Jason Kelce about how Austin helped her secure the rights to the masters for her first six albums. According to Taylor, she sent her mom and brother to approach the owners (a private equity group Shamrock Capital) and make a case for buying her music outright.
"Rather than send lawyers or management in a big crew, I sent my mom and brother, who I work with, to L.A.," she explained. "They told them what this meant for me."
Who among us can forget when Austin dramatically trashed his Yeezys amid Taylor's drama with Kanye West? Truly, if your sibling isn't displaying this level of loyalty when someone crosses you, it's time to go yell at them.
Austin spent Christmas with the Kelces and gave Travis a pretty much perfect gift. "He actually made me feel like a child because his gift to me was straight out of the bag," Travis revealed on his podcast, New Heights. 'In the Santa sack. Whipped it out and handed me a VHS of my favorite football movie of all time: Little Giants."
Austin has been dating Sydney Ness since 2022, and while they keep things pretty private, they've been spotted at a couple Chiefs games with Taylor.

Austin started his burgeoning acting career in the mid-aughts and appeared in Ben Affleck and Sienna Miller's 2017 film Live by Night. And yes, he made a very dapper red carpet appearance:
Austin may have hit pause on the whole acting thing though, based on his most recent project on IMDb being a Tom Felton film from back in 2019.
Tay said as much to TIME Magazine during her Person of the Year interview, saying, 'My dad, my mom, and my brother come up with some of the best ideas in my career. I always joke that we're a small family business.'
Austin also worked on Taylor's Disney+ movie and co-produced the "I Bet You Think About Me" music video:

FYI: Austin is three years younger than Taylor and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in film studies. He told Vanity Fair re: forging his own artistic path, "Something I learned myself, and learned through watching her, is respect. You just respect everyone's time, everyone that you're working with. They're all there, it's all their lives, and you need to put the work in to be worth that."
