Step Inside Dakota Johnson, Chris Martin's Universe After Their Split

Sadly, nothing is going to fix Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson's romance.
Indeed, the couple has called it quits eight years after they first began dating in 2017, and confirmed their engagement last March, multiple sources told People.
E! News has reached out to reps for Chris and Dakota but has not yet heard back.
The Coldplay frontman—who shares Apple Martin, 21, and Moses Martin, 19, with ex Gwyneth Paltrow—and the Fifty Shades of Grey star were first linked in October 2017 when they were photographed grabbing a bite at the celebrity hot spot Sushi Park in Los Angeles.
Chris and Dakota were seen out several times in the following months, with Dakota even attending one of Martin's concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for Coldplay's Head Full of Dreams tour.
As their romance progressed, Dakota became a regular fixture at Chris' shows, and even toured with him, but it wasn't until her dad Don Johnson seemingly confirmed their romance in January 2018 that the relationship became official.

At the time, Don joked his daughter dating Chris was 'troubling,' to Digital Spy, before assuring, 'No, she's a big girl, she can handle herself!'
Later that same year, the couple sparked pregnancy rumors when TMZ reported they had thrown a gender reveal party at Chris' Los Angeles home—which saw Dakota's dad and mom Melanie Griffith, as well as Julia Roberts in attendance.
However, the Social Network alum shut down the noise in an Ellen interview saying, 'The only thing I'm pregnant with is a lot of really good ideas, but not any babies.'
Despite not welcoming any children of her own, Dakota was quickly welcomed by Chris' children and ex shortly after the false alarm. In fact, the Goop founder formally gave her stamp of approval in November 2018.
'Gwyneth thinks she is lovely,' a source told E! News. 'She gets on very well with her and is happy for Chris. They've spent a good amount of time together and have a very nice friendship."
Rest assured, the kids were just as welcoming, with the source adding, 'The kids really like Dakota and enjoy spending time with her.'
However, the pair's first roadblock came in 2019, when multiple outlets claimed the pair had split up. In August of that year, Dakota and Chris laid the rumors to rest when he supported her at a wrap party for her film The High Note, as seen in photos shared to social media. A source later confirmed they were still together, telling E! News at the time, 'They're planning to spend more time together later this summer.'
The insider also added that an engagement was imminent for the couple, and, in 2024, they confirmed they had been engaged for 'years.'
And on the couple continued in para-para paradise. For Dakota's birthday that fall, Gwyneth proved Dakota and Chris were as strong as ever by sharing a happy birthday post for her—and her friendship with Dakota only continued to grow with time.
'I love her,' Gwyneth told Harper's Bazaar in 2020. 'I can see how it would seem weird because it's sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her.'
The feeling was mutual for Dakota—especially when it came to her relationship with Chris' kids.
'I love those kids like my life depends on it,' she told Bustle last year. 'With all my heart.'
By late 2024, breakup rumors began to surface once more—but a rep for the couple told E! News at the time that it was 'not true,' adding, 'They are happily together.'
Less than a year later, though, Dakota and Chris' breakup was confirmed. Keep reading for a deeper look into their romance… For the latest breaking news updates, click here to download the E! News App

Why Brooke Shields Is Only Leaving Her Jewelry to One of Her Daughters

Originally appeared on E! Online Only one of Brooke Shields' pretty babies will be inheriting her coveted jewelry collection. The Suddenly Susan alum revealed she plans to leave all of her diamonds to 19-year-old daughter Grier Henchy because her oldest child, 22-year-old Rowan Henchy, "has lost every piece I've ever given her." "I literally cannot do it again," she quipped to Only Natural Diamonds in an interview published June 5, adding that Grier is more passionate about jewelry craftsmanship and "understands the difference between real and 'real.'" "It's not about the gold or diamonds alone," continued Brooke, who shares her kids with husband Chris Henchy, "she sees the history, the workmanship, the story behind the institution of these houses." And the 60-year-old has always viewed precious gems as family heirlooms. After all, she got her first-ever diamond from mom Teri Shields, who passed away in 2012. "My mom always said, 'Buy yourself your own diamond—don't wait to be given one from a man,'" Brooke explained. "My mom bought me my first emerald-cut diamond. It's very beautiful, and I got it set in a Verdura cuff." More from E! "Ever since I was a little girl, every time we'd go somewhere, we'd find a jewelry store—if we were in Asia, it was pearls; if we were elsewhere, it was diamonds or brooches," Brooke recalled. "Maybe it's because she grew up in Newark during the Depression era, in poverty, and jewelry represented what she aspired to have in life." While she acknowledges her fascination with jewelry "might sound obnoxious" to some people, the Blue Lagoon actress noted that she views her jewelry collection as more of a physical reflection of her personal evolution. "I'm very attached to jewelry and diamonds," she added. "When you've worked hard, you're not waiting to be validated—you do something for yourself. There's a sense of empowerment in that." ‘Duck Dynasty' star Miss Kay's health declines following husband Phil Robertson's death

Miss Kay Robertson, the beloved matriarch of the 'Duck Dynasty' clan, is facing a difficult chapter marked by grief and declining health. 'Kay is not in the best of health,' her son Willie told USA TODAY Network. 'We're trying to help her out as much as we can.' The 77-year-old was noticeably absent from the 'Duck Dynasty: The Revival' premiere party on June 1, hosted in Monroe, Louisiana. The news of Robertson's declining health comes after she endured the tragic loss of her husband. Phil Robertson died on May 25 after suffering from Alzheimer's. He was 79. 'Some of it is, she is just depressed,' Willie remarked. 'She lost her partner of 60 years.' Her son continued to share that Kay made appearances in early episodes of the 'Duck Dynasty' reboot. However, her declining health prevented her from filming and being featured in later episodes. Kay's health issues first came to light in April, when her son Jase Robertson shared on the podcast 'Unashamed with the Robertson Family' that she had suffered a fall and developed an infection that required hospitalization. Jase said, 'We were kind of dealing with the fact that maybe this is it.' Reps for the Robertsons did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. 3 Miss Kay Robertson is 'not in the best of health' following the death of her husband. 'My mom is not doing great physically,' Jase said on the family podcast back in April. 'She has to have pretty much 24/7 professional healthcare.' Phil, at the time, said that their children's presence was helping her. 'But my dad [said] it's like, 'You're helping her morale.' She's helping his morale.' While their mother spent time in a health facility, Jase explained that family and friends had been visiting, with Kay's visitors dubbed 'Kay's Kingdom.' 3 The widow's husband, Phil Robertson, died on May 25th after suffering from Alzheimer's. Phil Robertson / Facebook Last month, Willie remembered his late father through faith and their final moments together. Willie, who starred in the hit A&E reality series for five years, from 2012 to 2017, took to social media to mourn the loss of his legendary father following his death. 'I remember Phil's many prayers on Memorial Day and all the times with my dad. I don't have enough words to tell of all of it, perhaps it will take months or years of remembering,' he wrote in part on Instagram. 'Most importantly, he taught me the value of sharing my faith with others. He was the Real Deal, the same on Sundays as Fridays. Most of our conversations were not about hunting or business, but about sharing the Gospel.' 3 The reality television star did not attend the 'Duck Dynasty: The Revival' premiere party on June 1. Art Streiber Phil, famous for launching the Duck Commander hunting company that became the focus of his A&E show, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in December 2024. His son concluded his heartfelt tribute and wrote, 'Phil, I love you and already miss you. Thank you for raising me the right way and teaching me the most important lesson to prepare me for the day you passed on. Not sure how people deal with loss without the Lord. We may be wrong about all this….but I doubt it! Sleep well Dad, can't wait to see you.' A&E announced earlier this year that the hit show would be revived eight years after it aired its final episode. 'Duck Dynasty: The Revival' focuses on Willie; his wife; their adult children, John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca; and their grandchildren, according to a synopsis. The original 'Duck Dynasty' aired for 11 seasons from 2012-17. Per A&E, the show peaked at 11.8 million viewers.

Christopher Meloni grieves beloved family dog

Christopher Meloni has shared his grief over losing his beloved family dog, Scotty. The Law & Order: Organized Crime star opened up about losing the 14-year-old pet in a heartfelt Instagram post. "He began as a rescue pup from Kentucky," Christopher, 64, wrote alongside a carousel of photos of Chris, 64, his wife Doris Sherman Williams and their children Sophia, 24, and Dante, 21, enjoying happier times with Scotty. "The kids named him Scotty, I wanted to name him kids won." Chris added he had given the much-loved Scotty several nicknames over the years. "My 'pet' name for him was Little Mister, pronounced Lidder Midder," the actor wrote. "Towards the end I found myself calling him 'Puppy' as if to recall happier times and maybe stave off the inevitable." Sadly, Scotty received a cancer diagnosis with a short prognosis. "He had cancer and was given 1 month to live," Chris continued. "He gave us 3 - he was a giver. 14 years was a good run, and in the words of Jon Stewart, 'in a world of good boys, Scotty was the best.' "It is never easy... Godspeed Lidder Midder." Chris's longtime co-star Mariska Hargitay was swift to share her condolences on the loss. "Sending you love my friend," she commented. "Rest in peace sweet Scotty."
