OnePlus Ace 5 Supreme Edition shapes up to be another powerful flagship killer
OnePlus seems to be the brand of the month, as the Chinese company has a bunch of new smartphones in the pipeline. Besides a couple of Nord series phones that are likely to arrive in May and/or June, OnePlus will also launch at least one new flagship, the Ace 5 Supreme Edition / Ace 5 Ultra.The Ace 5 Ultra is supposed to be another flagship killer following in the footsteps of Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, two other flagships that OnePlus released in China late last year.Although it's not going to be the most powerful flagship released by OnePlus to date, the Ace 5 Ultra is definitely going to be cheaper than the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company top tier phone that uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Performance-wise, the Ace 5 Ultra sits somewhere between the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro. The former is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the latter uses a new, more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

That's because the Ace 5 Ultra was recently spotted on Geekbench's website running on MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ chipset. While this is slightly more powerful than the standard Dimensity 9400, it still lags a little bit behind Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
That said, it's also worth mentioning that in comparison with the Dimensity 9400 that features a Prime core clocked at 3.63 GHz, the Dimensity 9400+ on the Ace 5 Ultra comes with a Prime core running at 3.73 GHz, so the improvements are probably negligible for the end user.
The Ace 5 Ultra packs 16 GB RAM, but additional storage options might be available at launch. Naturally, the phone runs Android 15 , but that's about everything we know about the Ace 5 Ultra so far. It's important to mention that the Ace 5 Ultra / Ace 5 Supreme Edition will be launched in China sometime this month. Unfortunately, the Ace 5 Ultra will remain exclusive to China, so there's no chance you'll be getting this unless you really want a phone specifically designed for the Chinese market.

Still, it's hard to beat free. Note that neither the RAM nor the storage is upgradable, which is quite limiting. Moving on, the more premium Google Pixel 9 Pro has a solid discount of €350. Due to how the discounts work out, getting the 256GB variant is a no-brainer – it's only €10 more than the 128GB one. For a cheaper alternative, there is the Google Pixel 8a, but that is saddled with the Tensor G3 – the G4 chip in the 9a has significantly reduced standby power draw. The upgrade to 16/512GB is only €38 over the base 12/256GB model, which also seems like an easy decision. You don't need to pay €900+ to get a Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered phone, though. The Poco F7 Ultra has that and is under €700. The screen is smaller (6.67' vs. 6.82') and isn't an LTPO panel, but it still has 1440p+ resolution. The phone has an aluminum frame with an IP68 rating and a 5,300mAh battery (vs. 6,000mAh on the OnePlus). The cameras aren't as good with a 50MP main (1/1.55' vs. 1/1.43'), 50MP telephoto (2.5x/60mm vs. 3x 73mm) and 32MP ultra-wide (vs. 50MP). Check out our review for details on the camera. You can go even cheaper with the Poco F7 Pro. That one drops back to the older Snapdragon 8 Elite, but has the same screen and IP68-rated aluminum frame. The 50MP main camera is the same, but the ultra-wide only has an 8MP sensor and there is no telephoto. Another Snapdragon 8 Elite phone is the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra. It's Moto's latest flip foldable flagship and is still pretty pricey, even with the current €150 discount. It has a 6' 1224p+ internal display and a 4' cover display (both LTPO), a 50MP main camera (1/1.56') and 50MP ultra-wide. It's powered by a 4,700mAh battery with 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. The Razr 60 is the first generation of Moto foldables to have ingress protection with an IP48 rating. Let's wrap up with a pair of Poco mid-rangers. The Poco X7 has a great display for the price, a 6.67' 12-bit panel with Dolby Vision and 3,000 nits peak brightness. The Dimensity 7300 Ultra can be found on cheaper phones, but it's fast enough. You also get a 50MP main camera (1/1.95') and 8MP ultra-wide and a 5,110mAh battery. The Poco X7 Pro is a €50 upgrade (looking at the base models) and that gets you the faster Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip and a larger 6,000mAh Si/C battery with double the charge rate at 90W. Xiaomi's next wearable has ultra-thin bezels, long-lasting battery life
Chinese giant Xiaomi launches new products almost every week. If it's not Xiaomi, it's one of its other brands – Redmi, Poco, Amazfit, launching new devices. But this time around we're going to talk about a new wearable that Xiaomi plans to launch in the coming weeks, the Smart Band 10. Although the new fitness tracker hasn't been teased by Xiaomi yet, marketing materials revealing its full design and many of the features have already been leaked. As expected, the Smart Band 10 doesn't really bring anything new in terms of design. The upcoming fitness tracker strongly resembles the previous models, so if you like Xiaomi's lineup of wearable, you'll definitely going to like the Smart Band 10 to these leaked images, the Smart Band 10 sports a 1.72-inch AMOLED display with symmetrical ultra-thin bezels. That's slightly larger than the Smart Band 9's 1.62-inch AMOLED display, so that's a said, the Smart Band 10 looks pretty standard for a fitness tracker. Maybe it's a bit larger than traditional wearables but that's because it features a slightly larger display than usual. Furthermore, the display supports 60Hz refresh rate and up to 1,500 nits brightness. According to Xiaomi, its upcoming Smart Band 10 offers 21 days of battery life, just like the previous model, the Smart Band 9. Equally important is the fact that the battery can be fully charged in about 1 hour, which isn't really surprising considering its small the software side, the Smart Band 10 features over 150 sports modes, including advanced swimming mode and heart rate broadcast. Sleep tracking with REM analysis and continuous heart rate monitoring are in the cards no information about price and availability, but the Smart Band 10 is probably going to cost the same as the Smart Band 9. That will make the new fitness tracker even more appealing since it features some small upgrades over the previous model. For reference, the Smart Band 9 was priced to sell for €40/£35 in Europe, which is a small price to pay for such a useful device.

Weekly poll: would you buy the Realme GT 7 or the GT 7T?
The Realme GT series is home to some of the best value-for-money phones on the market and the latest generation is showing great promise. Is the GT 7 or the GT 7T the right phone for you? The Realme GT 7 has excellent build quality, a bright, colorful LTPO display, good stereo sound and a solid camera performance. The Dimensity 9400e chipset is pretty speedy, as is the 120W charging (you have to buy your own adapter, though). The 7,000mAh Si/C battery currently holds the top spot in our battery life chart by quite some margin. Realme GT 7 The Realme GT 7T makes some cutbacks to hit a lower price point. That means a non-LTPO display (otherwise it's a similar 6.8' OLED panel with 6,000 nits peak brightness), a mid-range Dimensity 8400 Max chipset and no telephoto camera. The phone is still rated IP69 and it still has a 7,000mAh Si/C battery with 120W charging, though. Realme GT 7T You can read more about the Realme GT 7 camera in our review. In short the 50MP main camera (1/1.56', OIS) produces good but not great photos day and night, the 50MP 2x telephoto camera (1/2.76', no OIS) is okay but it is held back by the short focal length. On the downside, the 8MP ultra-wide is a bit of a letdown (no 4K videos and no AF), the 32MP selfie camera could have been better too. Realme GT 7 and GT 7T at a glance The GT 7T has basically the same set of cameras, minus the telephoto module. The different chipset will have different processing too, of course. Note that the Realme GT 7 and GT 7T will receive 4 major OS updates and a total of six years of security patches. They launch with Realme UI 6 based on Android 15. They all have telephoto cameras – 50MP 2x for the Poco and OnePlus, 10MP 3x for the Galaxy. So, the GT 7T misses out on zooming in, but it still has strengths. The batteries of these phones are smaller, even the 13R with its 6,000mAh capacity is significantly behind. Also, their water resistance ratings aren't as good, the 13R only has IP65, which isn't great for a near flagship. Xiaomi Poco F7 Ultra • OnePlus 13R • Samsung Galaxy S25+ • Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro The Poco X7 Pro (Dimensity 8400 Ultra, €300) doesn't have a tele camera and its 50MP main has a small 1/1.95' sensor. It is cheap, though, and still had enough budget for an IP69 certification. The battery has 6,000mAh capacity in Europe and 6,550mAh in India, charging is 90W in both cases. With all that in mind, is the Realme GT 7 on the short list of phones to consider for your next upgrade?
