Soccer-Pitch invasion ends Colombian league match, coach and ball boy caught in chaos
(Reuters) -A Colombian top flight match between Union Magdalena and Once Caldas was suspended in the 80th minute on Sunday after Magdalena fans invaded the pitch at the Estadio Sierra Nevada in Santa Marta.
A large number of spectators surged onto the field around the 80th minute, with the home side Magdalena trailing 1-0 after a goal from Once Caldas forward Dayro Moreno.
Referees and players were forced to retreat to the locker rooms as fans ran across the field. In the chaos, Once Caldas manager Hernan Dario Herrera and a ball boy were allegedly attacked.
"DIMAYOR would like to inform the public that the match between Union Magdalena and Once Caldas has been definitively suspended due to a breach of security," Organisers DIMAYOR (Major Division of Colombian Professional Football) said in a statement late on Sunday.
"The match was suspended in the 80th minute after an invasion by fans of the home team. The decision to suspend the match was made by the referee after confirming the attacks on Once Caldas' coach, Hernan Dario Herrera, and a ball boy."
Local media reported that the home fans invaded the field in protest against their team's dismal campaign since promotion to the top flight, with Union Magdalena winless after 16 games and stranded on eight points at the bottom of the Liga Dimayor.
DIMAYOR did not say if a rematch will be scheduled. Once Caldas, in eighth place, host Millonarios in the league on Sunday and Union Magdalena visit Deportes Tolima.

Guatemala issues arrest warrants for Colombia AG, former UN corruption investigator
BOGOTA/MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Guatemala's attorney general's office announced arrest warrants on Monday for a group of people including Colombia's attorney general and a former UN anti-corruption prosecutor, drawing condemnation from the foreign ministry in Bogota. In a video on social media, the head of Guatemala's Special Prosecutor's Office Against Impunity Rafael Curruchiche said a Guatemalan court had issued arrest warrants for Colombia's Attorney General Luz Adriana Camargo and Ivan Velasquez, a veteran Colombian prosecutor, on corruption charges. Curruchiche alleged in the video that Velasquez led a "criminal structure" that benefited businessmen from the Brazilian construction company formerly known as Odebrecht. Camargo and Velasquez were charged with criminal association, obstruction of justice, influence peddling and collusion, the video said. In a post on social media on Monday, Velasquez said the arrest warrants amounted to persecution by corrupt officials. An official at the Colombia Attorney General's office declined to comment. Velasquez won international praise for his work last decade as head of the UN-backed International Commission Against Impunity in Guatemala (CICIG), which in 2015 exposed a multi-million dollar graft case that led to the resignation and arrest of former Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina.
