Could a royal friend really reunite Prince William and Prince Harry at a christening? Here's what we know
The Grosvenor fortune-over £10 billion-is tied to centuries of royal favor, and Hughie himself is King Charles' godson. That reality makes it hard to imagine him risking William's trust by staging what could look like a social ambush. The British aristocracy tends to stick with the Crown, and William is its heir.
Friends told The Daily Beast that even at his wedding, Hughie's priority was avoiding scenes. 'He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realizes it's unlikely to happen before the wedding. He wanted to avoid anything overshadowing the day,' one said. That calculus hasn't changed. If awkwardness was a risk with 400 guests, imagine a christening.
The likeliest outcome? William attends as godfather. Harry sends congratulations and a silver rattle from California.
Harry has spoken publicly about wanting to reconcile. In May, during a BBC interview, he admitted: 'There is no point continuing to fight any more … But I would love a reconciliation … I don't know how much longer my father has. He won't speak to me.' The line 'He won't speak to me' echoed through court circles, according to The Daily Beast, but William has remained silent.
Sources told the outlet that the Prince and Princess of Wales deliberately kept clear of a recent 'peace summit' between Harry's team and King Charles' aides. One insider explained: 'It's no coincidence that William and Catherine did not have a representative…They will be treating the talks with extreme caution.'
Away from the feud, William and Kate are also preparing for a big change. The Daily Beast reports the couple is moving into Forest Lodge, a newly refurbished eight-bedroom mansion in Windsor Great Park. The renovation, funded privately through the Duchy of Cornwall, comes with a hefty price tag and inevitable scrutiny at a time when many in the UK are struggling to pay bills.
Still, aides frame the move as a 'fresh start' after several turbulent years marked by family health crises and the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Whether the public sees it that way-or as tone-deaf extravagance-remains to be seen
Hugh Grosvenor, Britain's richest aristocrat and a longtime friend of both William and Harry.
Yes, according to The Daily Beast, he has already been asked.
That remains uncertain; sources suggest it's unlikely.
Because it would force the feuding brothers into the same small, intimate setting.
To Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom estate in Windsor Great Park.

Vivek Agnihotri Threatens Legal Action If West Bengal Government Stalls The Bengal Files Release: "Will Pray That..."
New Delhi: Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri on Monday said he would go the legal route if the release of his film The Bengal Files is stalled in West Bengal. The trailer launch of the film in Kolkata was disrupted on Saturday. Agnihotri claimed the event was first cancelled by a multiplex and then moved to a hotel where power supply was disrupted and police turned up asking if permission had been taken. "We will go by the Constitution. We will go legally. If they stop us, we will take the legal course. What can we do? We are common citizens like you… We will pray that sanity prevails and the state government does not do it (stop the release)," the filmmaker said at a press conference here while hitting out at the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal. The Bengal Files, which is slated for release on September 5, revolves around the Calcutta riots of August 16, 1946, which were triggered after the All-India Muslim League called for 'Direct Action Day' to demand a separate homeland. '...This is an Indian film. I am telling you the truth," Agnihotri said. Known for films such as The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files, Agnihotri also addressed the many controversies surrounding his latest release, including an FIR by Gopal Chandra Mukherjee's grandson Santanu Mukherjee. Gopal Mukherjee is said to have played a pivotal role in the resistance against the Muslim mob violence in 1946. Santanu claims Agnihotri's film refers to his grandfather as a butcher. Agnihotri said Gopal Mukherjee in his film is an inspired character and not central to the plot. "I will not go into his history. Watch Santanu's interview. I can give you all the links. There is an interview of Gopal Mukherjee on BBC. In that interview, what he has said, we have only shown that much. I have nothing to do with Gopal Mukherjee's life, politics. He was a hero and I have shown him as a hero," he said. "I respect Gopal Mukherjee a lot. His grandsons work with TMC. There is a compulsion there… They have done it legally. We are giving a legal answer to that," he said. Agnihotri claimed the film is his attempt to reveal hidden truths. He said he aims at showing "the untold stories of India". 'Our purpose is very clear. I make films on Hindu civilisation. That is why I make films on Hindu history. I do not consider myself capable of making films on Islamic history or Christian history," he said, adding that filmmakers like Mani Ratnam and Vishal Bhardwaj have already made movies on the Islamic history of Kashmir through Roja and Haider. Agnihotri said the censor board passed The Bengal Files without any cuts though it went through the examining committee and then the revising committee. "This film was made with a lot of responsibility and sincerity. No one can object to this. Bengalis will be proud of this film." The Bengal Files stars Mithun Chakraborty, Saswata Chatterjee, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Darshan Kumar.

The reboot, which has been in the works since it was first announced in April 2023, promises to stay true to J.K. Rowling's original books — and fans are already reacting to the first glimpse. Anthony Wallyn serves as the body double for Nick Frost, who was spotted in full Hagrid costume alongside 11-year-old Dominic McLaughlin, the young actor taking on the role of the new Harry Potter. The pair were spotted filming scenes outside local pubs and shops as curious onlookers stopped to watch the action unfold. Some streets were closed off to allow filming to take place. One fan wrote, 'This is book Hagrid and book Harry Potter. I had my doubts but it looks exactly 100% like in the books (sic).' Another said, 'That kid looks perfect for Harry, great casting (sic).' Others were less sure about the choice of Hagrid. One person commented, 'Not disappointed in Harry but the Hagrid could have been better (sic),' while another said, 'Hagrid looks like he lost weight — he's not as big as he should be (sic).'
