Royal Saudi Navy Participates in AMAN-25 Exercise in Pakistan

The Royal Saudi Navy is currently taking part in the joint naval exercise AMAN-25, in Karachi, Pakistan, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
With the participation of 60 countries, the multinational maritime exercise seeks to boost global cooperation to combat piracy and terrorism.
Meanwhile it aims to foster security coordination among the participating naval forces.

Therefore, the training concentrates on protecting economic waters, exchanging expertise, strengthening combat readiness, and enabling participants to conduct complex maneuvers and counter-techniques.
Along with specialized forces from the Marine Corps and the Royal Navy's Special Security Units, the Royal Saudi Navy is taking part in the exercise through His Majesty's ships.

The Saudi Minister of Defense and Vice Chairman of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), Prince Khalid bin Salman, will open the WDS 2026, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and on his behalf. World Defense Show 2026 Scheduled from February 8-12, 2026, the World Defense Show is one of the world's most prestigious defense events, embodying Saudi Arabia's visionary leadership and extensive efforts to organize a premier global defense exhibition focused on the future of the industry. The WDS 2026 enjoys the support of all relevant ministries, authorities, and companies, with the participation of strategic entities from both the public and private sectors. Shaping the Future of Defense On this occasion, GAMI Governor, Ahmad Al-Ohali, thanked King Salman and the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, for their unwavering support for the military industries sector to enhance the Kingdom's strategic independence and promote the sector's localization. WDS 2026 Expansion WDS 2026 is expanding with a fourth hall, increasing its total area by 58% compared to its first edition to meet the growing turnout. 'Through expanded venue capacity, cutting-edge content, and a strong focus on technology transfer and talent development, WDS 2026 will serve as a global catalyst—bringing together leaders, innovators, and emerging talent to chart the path for the defense industry's future,' Pearcey noted. In its 2024 edition, the WDS saw the signing of deals worth of SAR 26 billion deals, with the participation of 773 exhibitors from 76 countries and the attendance of 441 official international delegations and 106,000 visitors. A Syrian investment delegation will visit Riyadh on Monday to boost economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria, in line with the directives of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman. The Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar, heads the delegation which includes representatives from the private sector of both sides, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The official visit underscores both countries' commitment to strengthening economic ties and regional integration. The visit also follows up on the outcomes of the Saudi-Syrian Investment Forum, which took place in July under the patronage of Syria's Transitional President, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, with the participation of more than 100 Saudi companies and 20 Saudi government entities. The Forum saw the signing of 47 investment agreements across key sectors, worth of SAR 24 billion ($6.4bn). The investment projects covered sectors such as real estate, infrastructure, finance, telecommunications and information technology, energy, industry, tourism, trade and investment, health, and other areas. Furthermore, the Forum witnessed the formation of the Saudi-Syrian Business Council to foster economic cooperation and promote Saudi investments in the promising Syrian market. The Syrian delegation's visit to Riyadh aligns with the Kingdom's commitment to enhance economic partnerships with brotherly nations across the region, boosting its global investment role and supporting the attainment of sustainable development goals and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Syrian business delegation due in Riyadh

RIYADH: A Syrian delegation of private sector representatives and government officials are due in Riyadh on Monday as Saudi Arabia further strengthens its commitment to re-engage with the conflict-ravaged country and support its reconstruction efforts. The delegation will be led by Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar, Syria's Minister of Economy and Industry, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The visit follows up on the Syrian-Saudi Investment Forum held last month in Damascus, with more than 100 Saudi companies and 20 government entities joining the event, that yielded $6.4 billion worth of investment deals. The 47 investment pledges ranged from real estate, infrastructure, finance, telecommunications and information technology, energy, industry, tourism, trade and health. Among these include $1.07 billion worth of pledges from Saudi telecommunications companies including Saudi Telecom Co., GO Telecom, digital security firm Elm and cybersecurity company Cipher; while the $2.93 billion investment deals included the construction of three new cement plants to support Syria's reconstruction efforts.
