The wife of former Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden has filed for divorce from the musician, following an allegation that he physically attacked her when she confronted him about 'sexting with teenage girls'.
Catherine Blair Bowman filed for divorce from Madden, 46, on Wednesday (August 13) after three months of marriage, according to TMZ. The fashion influencer listed 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split.
The couple were together for four years prior to getting married in May and Bowman is reportedly requesting spousal support.
It comes after she said she was 'terrified' of Madden in court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on July 30.
The fashion influencer was seeking a restraining order, with a judge then granting a temporary restraining order, People reported at the time.
In documents seen by the publication, Bowman described a series of events which unfolded on July 21, in which she said the bass player went 'insane' after she asked him about the alleged messages with the teenage girls.
Bowman's filing stated she asked to see Madden's phone, which he refused, and when she grabbed it and ran out the house she claims he 'became enraged'.
Bowman described her efforts to flee in her court filing. The documents said: 'He put both his arms around my body around my abdomen and arms to restrain me. He then slammed my body against the marble kitchen counter.'
'I managed to move around and escape him, got up, and ran out of the house to escape him,' Bowman said in the filing.
She continued: 'He ran after me in his underwear and barefoot, caught up to me, shoved me against the gate, and then tried to grab me back to the house.'
Bowman said that she 'managed to escape and ran to the street' but Madden 'found [her] twice in different locations, physically abusing me each time'. She included images from ring camera footage to support her claims.
In the filing, Bowman said she has been living with a friend since the incident. She also told the court that Madden had apologised to her via text message and said he was planning to seek help for sex addiction.

'I have some things that I need to deal with and address right now and so I have decided to take a leave of absence,' Madden said in a statement at the time.
'During this time, I do not want to be a distraction to my bandmates. I wish them the absolute best.'

Dodgers-Angels game descends into violent brawl as fan is knocked out cold before being kicked in the head

Two people have reportedly been arrested after a Los Angeles Dodgers fan was kicked in the head and knocked out cold in a sickening incident. Disturbing video footage shows the fan being beaten in an altercation in the stands of Angel Stadium during Wednesday night's game between the Los Angeles rivals. The victim was sucker-punched and then, after he fell back in his seat, a second man kicked him in the head. Despite being slumped over - apparently unconscious, with a woman attempting to protect him - the man is punched in the head once more. A spokesperson for the Anaheim Police Department told TMZ that the fight 'appears to have started over the stealing of a hat.' But many details - including about those involved - remain unclear. According to TMZ, two individuals in their mid-20s were arrested over the incident. One is facing a felony assault charge while the other was booked for misdemeanor assault. It was not the only time that tempers flared during the recent Freeway Series. Another social media clip showed two women arguing in the stands. On the field, the Angels made franchise history against the Dodgers. On Wednesday night, the Angels completed their first-ever six-game Freeway Series sweep of their Southern California rivals. Logan O'Hoppe hit a go-ahead two-run single with two outs in the eighth inning, rallying the Los Angeles Angels to a 6-5 victory. The Angels' only other season sweep vs. the Dodgers came when they went 4-0 in 2019. The Dodgers, who took their fourth straight loss, fell one game behind the San Diego Padres in the National League West. Los Angeles hadn't trailed in the division since April 27.

Former NBA player asks Trump for pardon before prison

Former NBA star Sebastian Telfair has publicly asked for President Donald Trump to give him a pardon as he faces a few months of federal prison time. In 2023, Telfair (pictured) pled guilty to charges of fraud after he was found to be one of 18 former NBA players who defrauded the league's health and welfare benefit plan of about $4million. Speaking to TMZ, Telfair revealed that the court ordered him back because of 'me not having my paperwork together'. 'I'm mad, I'm mad, I don't wanna be doing no federal time or all that,' Telfair told the outlet. He continued: 'As far as the initial case, I believe this whole federal case is definitely some bull[expletive], no disrespect to the system. But this is NBA accounts. This is our own account. This is my money that, you know what I'm saying, I tampered with inside of my account. No, I should not end up in federal custody for tampered with our own NBA accounts. I feel like we all have been victims under this NBA situation. I earned that money that they said that I took out of my account. I physically worked, and you all watched me earn that money, and I now got to pay it back to the system. The money don't go back into my account. It goes back to the system. So that is just mind-blowing to me.' After adding that he's being treated 'super unfairly', Telfair then revealed that he has a three-year-old child at home he needs to take care of. With that in mind, Telfair made a plea to the Oval Office to ask for an intervention in his case. 'I know Donald Trump got some big things going on, Donald Trump might need to come holla and give ya boy a pardon, and so I could stay home with my babies, continue building my community,' Telfair told the outlet. Telfair was drafted 13th overall in the 2004 NBA Draft straight out of Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, New York and played in the league for over a decade.
