The UK is home to some weird spots that have gone viral

James Blunt Museum
The James Blunt Museum hit the news at the beginning of last year after a member of the public strolled by, captured some pics and uploaded them to social media platform X.
The small 'museum' is actually a red telephone box, nestled in the hedge on the side of a road in rural Herefordshire.
Inside, there are images of the 'You're Beautiful' singer and a number of facts about him.
James Blunt even replied to the post about the location, commenting: "Completely forgot to announce the opening of this fantastic cultural experience in glorious Herefordshire.
"Free entry for both my fans."
Then in May, Blunt posted again about the unlikely tourist spot.
He said on X: "I'm excited to announce that the James Blunt Museum in Herefordshire has recently been refurbished, and is now back open and accepting visitors.
"It really is a glorious place to take the family this summer. Please come early to avoid the queues."
Alongside the jokey post, he included a link to a Tripadvisor page for the telephone box and a photo of people queuing outside it.
The phone box is free to visit.
I travelled to America to try the viral TikTok shop Crumbl
Seven Noses of Soho, London
Soho, in central London, is famous in its own right yet not many people look up and notice that across Soho, there are seven noses.
Many people have taken to TikTok to share the wonder, including Visit London - who garnered over 50,000 views on their post about the noses.
The noses are made from plaster and are attached to buildings in the district.
They were created by Rick Buckley back 1997 as a protest against the rise of CCTV cameras in the area.

Originally, there were around 35 noses in Soho but only seven remain today.
Rumour has it, if you find all seven of the noses you will get good luck or wealth.
The noses are located at Admiralty Arch, Bateman Street, Dean Street, Meard Street, Endell Street, Great Windmill Street and D'Arblay Street.
The noses are often mentioned on tours, but can also be hunted for, for free.
Mannakin, Lincolnshire
Perhaps on the creepier side, the so-called mannequin mountain in Lincolnshire went viral over the pandemic.
The bizarre heap of over 15,000 mannequins was set up by Roz Edwards, after people began remarking how her business of buying and restoring dummies to sell in shops and hire out to film crews, was unnerving.
The 50-year-old set up Mannakin like a cemetery and is now a immersive experience that visitors pay £15 to walk around.

In Lincolnshire, you can stay at a 'mannequin graveyard' for £25 a night

You can even stay overnight at the site for £25.
A video posted on Facebook of the site gained over 600,000 views, with users comparing the site to an episode of Doctor Who or like something out of Umbrella Academy.
One recent visitor said: "I have just experienced the most bonkers enjoyable stay with all the mannequins!
"Lovely friendly welcoming hosts. Who knew how much deliberation is needed when choosing a body part to decorate!"
The Forbidden Corner, Yorkshire
Set in the Yorkshire Dales, The Forbidden Corner has gained a lot of attention on social media.
The attraction is essentially full of tunnels, mazes and unusual statures to explore.

All it takes is a quick search on TikTok of 'Forbidden Corner' to find this attraction and see the sheer amount of people who are now flocking to the weird destination.
One TikTok video claiming it to be "the strangest place in the world" has over 5.1 million views.
Posted by @Yorkshirefi, the user comments how it took them over two hours to explore and includes singing rats, passages you have to crawl through and even rooms that are set up like satanic rituals.
Tickets to the attraction cost £18 for adults or £16 for children.
Novelty Automation, London
Novelty Automation is one of the weirdest places I am yet to stumble across in the capital.
Essentially an arcade with a twist, the destination is home to some weird games and machines that are bound to give you a laugh.

Dubbed as a museum, visitors can explore and play on a number of satirical machines like operating a nuclear reactor, meeting an alien's mum and getting frisked.
I won't ruin anything - but let's just say some will make you jump out of your skin.
A video of one of the machines on TikTok has even racked up over 41million views.
Tokens cost £1 each.
BP petrol station and Spar, Sheffield
Getting petrol never seems like a 'trendy' thing to do.
But one petrol station in Sheffield appears to have garnered attention and become the place to go, if you need fuel in Sheffield.
Or - in the case of many TikTok videos - run out of ideas of day trips to go on.

And even a petrol station went viral in Sheffield

One TikTok posted by @morgan.bold garnered over 1.7million views and showcased the items you can purchase from the petrol station including frozen Fanta drinks for £4.25, free-dried sweets and unique flavours of Dr Pepper like strawberries and cream.
The petrol station is free to visit, providing you don't have fuel to pay for or buy any of the goodies inside.
'Wisteria-hysteria' and cherry blossom
Even though this one is not a specific location, each year it goes viral and therefore needs to be included.
We all love pretty flowers and in the summer months, stately gardens are great places to visit to see a variety of fauna and flora.
But two floral trends recirculate each year - 'Wisteria Hysteria' and cherry blossom hunting.
Whilst Japanese blossom tends to happen early spring, wisteria occurs through late April to early May.
Head onto TikTok during the relevant season and your feed will soon fill with videos of wisteria spots or blossom finds close to you.
11
Whilst pretty to see, people go crazy for blossom and wisteria each spring and flock to places that have them

Many of the videos quickly gain hundreds-of-thousands of views and people have been known to travel to spots recommended to see the flowers.
I remember back in the spring I head to Battersea Park - which is confidentially near me.
When I reached the line of blossom trees that I had seen plastered over Instagram, I could barely used the path as hoards of people crowded around around the trees to snap pics.
The different flowers are completely free to explore and can often be found close to your home.
The Black Dog, London
Whilst not completely unheard of for a pub to go viral, The Black Dog in London received massive attention - and consequently huge visitor numbers - all due to a Taylor Swift song.
Located in Vauxhall, the pub went viral after Taylor Swift mentioned it in her song 'The Black Dog' on her album 'The Tortured Poets Department'.
11
The Black Dog in London seems like a normal pub but was name-dropped in a Taylor Swift song

The song includes a lyric about spotting an ex going into the pub in the first verse: "I am someone who until recent events / You shared your secrets with / And your location, you forgot to turn it off / And so I watch as you walk / Into some bar called The Black Dog".
The pub quickly cottoned on to their new-found attention and launched Swift-themed food and drinks.
The pub even created it's own TikTok account which quickly gained thousands of followers.
The account's first post of some pictures of the pub and the caption "your cozy little pub gets name-dropped in the new Taylor Swift ablum??!" captured 1.1million views.
The pub is free to visit, unless you want a pint.
Shell Grotto, Margate
Shell Grotto in Margate is essentially what the name states.
The obscure grotto was discovered in 1835 by accident when someone stepped through their garden and nearly fell into it.
The grotto boasts walls made up of over 4.5million shells and videos of the destination on TikTok have gained hundreds-of-thousands of views.

One TikTok even reached 1.7million views, with users perplexed at how it was built and who managed to count the number of shells used in the grotto.
Shell Grotto tickets cost £4.50 per adult and £2 per child.
Greyfriars Kirkyard, Edinburgh
As a huge Harry Potter fan, I beelined for this spot as soon as I was in Edinburgh on a holiday last year.
The graveyard gained attention after people noticed that many of the gravestones have names on that are the same as some of the main characters in the Harry Potter series.
JK Rowling rote inside the nearby Elephant House Cafe and she has openly explained how graveyards used to give her inspiration for the characters in her books.
The graveyard is located in the Old Town and fans can find names including Thomas Riddell.

Many of the videos posted on social media have gained thousands of views and likes, with many users noting other destinations in the city that are related to Harry Potter.
The graveyard is free to visit but donations are welcome.
The Sun's Alice Penwill recently headed to America to try the viral Crumbl cookies – they beat the UK but there was a downside.
And The Sun's Sophie Swietochowski tried the new viral Dubai chocolate ice cream served at a top London attraction – but it was a huge disappointment.

Peak online dating — why we've broken up with apps
S ound the alarms: the dating app is on its deathbed. It will be chronicled by Benedictine monks as one of those great historical events of recent times next to their entries on the fall of the Berlin Wall and the creation of TikTok. Bumble, the online dating app, has announced that it is axing a third of its staff. Its CEO said the industry was at an 'inflection point'. I met my boyfriend in real life. So I hate to say it but I'm not surprised. I've tried them all: Tinder, Hinge, Bumble and even other, less reputable ones. When I was in the lift and had nothing to do I'd open up Tinder for a surreptitious scroll. When I was on the Tube into work commuters would gather round and we'd swipe through sundry potential partners.

Lewis Capaldi releases "bold and courageous" comeback single hours before expected Glastonbury show
The much-loved singer, from Whitburn, West Lothian – who took an 'extended break' from the music business two years ago to concentrate on his physical and mental health – dropped the powerful new single at midnight. Lewis Capaldi has made his eagerly awaited comeback with the surprise release of his first new material in two years. The much-loved singer, from Whitburn, West Lothian – who took an 'extended break' from the music business to concentrate on his physical and mental health – dropped the powerful new single at midnight. The new song, called Survive, charts his emotional turmoil that led him to step back from making music in 2023. Referencing his mental health challenges of self-doubt and despair, Lewis, 28, sings, 'How long 'til it feels, Like I'm more than a spoke in a wheel? 'Most nights I fear that I'm not enough. I've had my share of Monday mornings when I can't get up. But when hope is lost. And I come undone, I swear to God I'll survive, If it kills me to, I'm gonna get up and try, if it's the last thing I do. He then comes out swinging in a chorus full of defiance with the line, 'I swear to God I'll survive, if it kills me to, I'm gonna' get up and try, if it's the last thing I'll do. 'I've still got something to give, Though it hurts sometimes, I'm gonna get up and live, Until the day that I die.' The 'bold and courageous' single has been released just hours before an expected to make a surprise return to the Glastonbury music festival. Two years ago, the singer had visibly struggled throughout his performance at Britain's biggest festival, with loyal fans helping him to finish his songs. Feverish speculation had been mounting in recent days that a comeback was in the works after mysterious billboards appeared at a station close to the Glastonbury festival, in Somerset, and in Glasgow's City Centre. The billboards teased the reveal of a secret 'TBA' Glastonbury performer and featured a taster of the lyrics from the song. A leaked snippet of the song went viral on TikTok. The song is described by Lewis's team as 'a bold and brave new anthem that underscores a challenging period in his career that ended at Glastonbury 2023 in an extremely tough, but special unifying moment as the Pyramid Stage crowd helped carry an emotional Capaldi over the finish line.' The release bodes well for the singer who first achieved global success in 2019, with his breakthrough single Someone You Loved. The single charted in 29 countries and remained at No1 for seven weeks. A debut album Divinely Inspired To A Hellish Extent and the 2023 follow up Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent also topped the charts. But the worldwide success and adulation took its toll and Lewis, who suffers from Tourette's syndrome and anxiety, stepped back from the limelight two years ago, almost to the day. This year's Glastonbury festival will see The 1975 take to the Pyramid stage tonight (Friday). Lewis is also expected to play Glastonbury tonight. Saturday, will see Neil Young will headline the festival for the second time, following his previous performance in 2009, before Olivia Rodrigo closes the Sunday bill. The full lyrics to the new song are: How long 'til it feels Like the wounds finally starting to heal How long 'til it feels Like I'm more than a spoke in a wheel That I'm not enough I've had my share of Monday mornings when I can't get up But when hope is lost And I come undone I swear to God I'll survive If it kills me to I'm gonna get up and try If it's the last thing I do I've still got something to give Though it hurts sometimes I'm gonna get up and live Until the day that I die I swear to God I'll survive How long 'til you know That in truth you know nothing at all How far will you go To get back to the place you belong Most nights I fear That I'm not enough But I refuse to spend my best years rotting in the sun So when hope is lost And I come undone I swear to God I'll survive If it kills me to I'm gonna get up and try If it's the last thing I do I've still got something to give Though it hurts sometimes I'm gonna get up and live Until the day that I die I swear to God I'll survive I swear to God I'll Survive I swear to God I'll survive If it kills me to I'm gonna get up and try If it's the last thing I do I've still got something to give Though it hurts sometimes I'm gonna get up and live Until the day that I die You can also hear Lewis's new track here

I'm a size 14 and did the best 25% off Tesco summer haul – run before new co-ord sells out, it's so flattering
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SAVVY fashionista has revealed the epic Tesco clothing haul she bagged in the 25% off sale - and urged people to run for a "beautiful" co-ord. Tesco's in-house fashion label, F&F, is renowned for its stylish buys at affordable prices. But Clubcard users can save an extra 25% on items if they purchase them before Sunday, June 29. Lara, a size 14, had only nipped to the supermarket to grab bin bags and coffee when she stumbled across the promotional signs in the F&F aisles. "Why did no one tell me there was 25% off?" she cried. "Obviously that roped me in, and there was so much [new things]. I didn't think there would be, I felt like I was only just there last week. "They had loads of sizes as well. So Monday mornings are a good time to go to Tesco guys." First up, she bagged a £25 black and white polka dot satin midi dress which she described as "just beautiful". She also found a gold sheer metallic dress for £19.50 that she insists is so pretty you'll want to wear it by the pool and at night time too. She gushed: "How beautiful is that? Oh my god. That on holiday, some chunky jewellery. Tesco fans are set to love the latest items in stores for 25 per cent off when you use clubcard "It's got this wee slip dress inside which is perfect so it's not see-through. So you could probably wear it at night as well. Obsessed. The colour is just everything. "Guys it's a win win any time that's on. It's just a bargain." Next, the Scots fashionista picked up a £22.50 cream crochet mini dress that she said would be the perfect day-to-night outfit if you "get a wee slip dress or Skims underneath". Lara styled it with a gold belt to cinch in the waist, and sized up to a large for a comfy look. But it was two summery co-ords that she was most impressed with. She bagged a £25 white maxi skirt with a black floral pattern, sizing down to a size 12, and matching bandeau crop top for £14. 6 Lara managed to bag her summer buys in the 25% off sale Credit: TikTok/@laralouisemercer 6 Her haul should have cost £151 but she saved over £30 Credit: TikTok/@laralouisemercer 6 Other fashion fans are loving Lara's picks Credit: TikTok/@laralouisemercer She hailed the outfit as "the perfect co-ord for your holiday", adding: "How stunning is this? I genuinely love it. "It's not anything I would ever wear, especially the long skirt. But I am obsessed. The print, the fit, the black and white. Oh my god, I want to scream. "How beautiful is that print? Oh my goodness. Love it. Love, love, love. "And it's got this stretchy material at the back." She also tracked down a pretty sage green high-waisted mini skirt and tie-front waistcoat, priced at £22.50 each. "Look at the colours of that. That sage green, all embroidered", she gushed. "This is going to be the new viral co-ord 100 per cent. It's stunning. And it's really good quality, it's lined as well. "This is beautiful, I can 100 per cent guarantee this is going to sell out so quick." Lara's haul should have set her back £151 in total, but she managed to get it for just £113.25, saving £37.75. She said: "When you've got the 25% off it makes a good bit of difference." And fashion fans were loving her gorgeous picks, with her video racking up 49,000 views. One gushed: "Love the waistcoat co-ord set and the swimsuit cover up, you have styled so well. Running to Tesco." "You look great in all of them", someone else added. Meanwhile, a third wrote: "You just keep finding better outfits." More supermarket bargains While you're in store, you may also want to keep an eye out for the £19.50 'chuck on' summer dress that is "gorgeous on" and comes in three colours. Fashion fans are in a frenzy over the "prettiest" £35 Tesco dress too - it's perfect for weddings and comes in on-trend, classy colour. Elsewhere, shoppers have fallen in love with Tu's Yellow Striped Tie Detail Midaxi Tea Dress, which is priced at £28.
