You be the judge. And while you're doing that, consider the 4.4-litre biturbo V8's now good for 838bhp...

Might we interest you in some automotive smelling salts to clear that Monday fug? Mansory has the goods with its new G90-generation M5 kit, and we'll get on to those looks in a second. First, a power check.
The P850 takes the hybridised 4.4-litre biturbo V8 even further: performance is up from 727bhp and 737lb ft to 838bhp and 848lb ft. It should mean this G90 beats the previous F90's 3.4s 0-62mph sprint - a feat the standard car... cannot.

Aside from the extra power, Mansory has sculpted in a series of lightweight carbon fibre body components, which, ironically, probably bloat the M5's 2.4-tonne weight even further.
They've been coated in that strange pastel-like paint seen on several other Mansory products, like the MXC Pergusa, with orange highlights spawning across the body and brake calipers for more shock and horror.
The M5 also gains forged 22in 10-spoke alloys - probably the subtlest thing about the package - and a new bonnet that features a sort of scorpion tail exoskeleton frame, with a central pillar that meets the glow-up grille. Beneath it, the engine gets a similarly themed cover.
At the posterior, Mansory has added a small rear wing and a revised triple sports exhaust system, which it says looks 'stunning'. Like we said, we'll leave you to make that call.

Pricing for the P850 package has yet to be disclosed, but do consider you'll need £111,605 for the base car.

Over 300,000 cars recalled by major vehicle manufacturer
Ford is recalling 312,120 US vehicles, including certain 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger models. The recall addresses a potential Electronic Brake Booster defect that could lead to a loss of power brake assist, increasing stopping distance and crash risk. The issue arises from the EBB motor's sensitivity to voltage disturbances, which can cause it to shut down and trigger warning lights. The remedy is a free software update for the EBB module, available over-the-air or through Ford and Lincoln dealers, with owner notifications commencing in late August. Ford has issued a record number of recalls this year, attributing the high volume to proactive safety measures and increased audits.

Big Beautiful Blunder: Red-faced GOP roasted for using Russian car to promote Trump's biggest win
The official X account of the Republican Party is getting roasted for making a basic marketing mistake. Republicans are getting trolled after trying to celebrate the American automotive industry with a poster featuring a Soviet car. 'The One Big Beautiful bill will drive the return of the great American car,' the official GOP account wrote, attaching a poster of President Trump in a MAGA hat with a yellow car in the background. However, critics were quick to notice that the vehicle wasn't American-made. Sleuths, utilizing X's built in AI features, soon identified the old car in the poster's background as a Lada 2105 - a vehicle produced by the Soviet/Russian manufacturer AvtoVAZ. The vehicle was produced from 1980 to 2010 and was never made in America. 'This is a Soviet car — so close!' Democratic Sen. Tina Smith of Minnesota chided the Republican account. California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell wrote: 'Don't point out it's a Russian-made car.' Even right-wingers slammed the account for the blunder. 'Dear GOP, When talking about the great American car, please picture an American car. Sincerely, Everyone,' wrote conservative Carolyn Tackett. Many in the comments led the charge calling for the page's manager to be fired. 'Whoever runs the account, should be fired immediately,' one wrote. The original post from the GOP's account went up on Thursday evening and as of Friday had more comments expressing concern than likes. Social media users also piled on the Republican account for Trump's sweeping tariffs hitting U.S. automotive producers. Famous American manufacturer Ford announced Thursday it expects a 'net tariff-related headwind of about $2 billion,' due to tariffs. The company shared it had paid $800 million in tariff expenses in just the second quarter from April to June. Trump's global tariff regiment kicked into effect for many U.S. trading partners on Friday. On Thursday, Trump said he had extended an existing deal with Mexico for 25 percent tariffs on cars and a 50 percent levy on steel, aluminum and copper for 90 days. The Republican National Committee did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail's request for comment.

Plush interior; high ride comfort 382-mile range with fast charging Just £478.46 a month Audi is really moving into top gear with its electric cars if the A6 e-tron is anything to go by. This sleek electric five-door offers a sumptuous ride, a tech-filled interior, plus the allure of that four-ringed badge. No wonder we named it our Large Company Car of the Year in the Auto Express New Car Awards 2025. Advertisement - Article continues below But even if you're not a business user there's plenty to like – plus, the A6 undercuts its nearest competitors by some distance. Right now, the A6 Sportback e-tron is around £170 cheaper than its big rival, the BMW i5. This deal from via the Auto Express Find a Car service, sees you taking the keys for just £478.46 a month, while the equivalent i5 is over £645 a month under the same terms. Here, this two-year deal requires a £6,091.56 initial payment, while mileage is limited to 5,000 a year. Should you require more, you'll need to fork out an extra £29.57 a month for 8,000 miles a year. You might assume that at this price this deal would be for the entry-level Sport, but that's not the case. Skip advert Advertisement - Article continues below Desirable S line trim is the name of the game here, so on top of the Sport's fancy customisable LED welcome lights, illuminated Audi badge at the rear, twin screens with 3D mapping and wireless phone charging, you get a sportier looking exterior, privacy glass and sports seats with the Audi 'S' logo embossed in them, plus other goodies. It does come with the entry-level powertrain, though, but that's no cause for complaint as it's an 83kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 382 miles. We've found the A6 to be not far off its claimed figures, while a peak charging speed of 270kW gives a 10-to-80-per-cent top-up in just 21 minutes, if you find a powerful enough charger. The A6 e-tron has a real high-quality ambience – whether it's the interior or the ride comfort, it feels plush and expensive.
