New parking fees in 4 Dubai neighbourhoods including Al Karama
Parkin during peak and off-peak hours has now changed in Al Qusais, Al Karama, Madinat Dubai Al Melaheyah and Al Kiraf.
Two separate tariffs have been introduced, with one named Tariff W and the other named Tariff WP.
Tariff W applies to Al Qusais First, Al Karama and Madinat Dubai Al Melaheyah and means that motorists will now be charged Dhs4 all day with no peak-hour variation.
And Tariff WP applied to Al Kiraf. This tariff means that there will be a Dhs4 per hour charge during non-peak hours. This tariff does mean that there will be a peak hour charge of Dhs6 per hour between 8am until 10am and from 4pm until 8pm.
We introduced new parking tariffs W and WP applicable to Al Qusais First, Al Karama, Madinat Dubai Al Melaheya, and Al Kifaf.

The new parking tariffs started rolling out earlier this month, which included a hike for premium parking spaces.

Premium parking spaces, strategically located near public transport hubs, business districts and popular shopping areas, rose to Dhs6 per hour.
In contrast, regular parking spaces across the city remain priced at Dh4 per hour.
Parkin has identified premium parking zones based on three factors: proximity to metro stations (within 500 meters), high occupancy during peak times and dense commercial areas.
The pricing adjustments also include a new congestion pricing policy for major events at Dubai World Trade Centre.
From February 2025, public parking near high-traffic event zones, such as the Dubai World Trade Centre, mean a charge of Dh25 per hour to manage the surge in demand during exhibitions, festivals and conferences.
The grand events tariff will be in place between 8am and 10pm in the area immediately surrounding DWTC with five specific events set aside in the rest of 2025. These can be seen below.

Dubai has one of the best public transport systems in the world, with millions of people riding the metro, tram and bus every day. And for those of you who know the 30-minute rule, you understand exactly how good it is. For the uninitiated, the Roads and Public Transport Authority's 30-minute rule allows you to pay for one trip in total even when you hop on board multiple forms of public transport. How the 30-minute rule works Dubai's public transport map is split into seven different zones which each contains metro, tram and bus stations. The map is colour-coded and numbered to make it easier to understand when you've arrived in a different zone. Travelling across these zones affects how much you'll be charged for your journey with your nol card. For example, if you travel within one zone you'll be charged less than for a journey between three zones. So, if your metro journey only takes you so far, then you can use the same card you started your journey with to take a bus or tram within 30 minutes of leaving Dubai Metro, and it will count as the same trip. The RTA rules specify that the maximum number of transfers allowed within this time is three. Your final fare will depend on the number of zones you pass through in total and on what type of nol card you hold. Fares with a single one-off red nol card will end up ever-so-slightly pricier than those with a personal, silver or gold card. A regular red card is priced at Dhs4 when travelling within one zone or Dhs8 if you're using the gold cabin on the Dubai Metro. Travel between two adjacent zones is Dhs6 for regular cabins and Dhs12 in gold class. And if you move between more than two zones it's Dhs8.50 for a regular journey or Dhs17 for a gold journey. Silver and personal cards are priced at Dhs3 within one zone, Dhs5 between two adjacent zones and Dhs7.5 between more than two zones. The gold card allows travel in gold class at a reduced rate of Dhs6 within one zone, Dhs10 between two adjacent zones and Dhs15 for more than two zones. Kids under five travel for free regardless of ticket while the personal card offers a 50 percent discount on all fares for students, social affairs and senior Emiratis and citizens. Major Dubai parking changes in 2025 that you need to know
Parking in Dubai can be challenging with so many other drivers to compete with for a space. You may have a specific spot in mind, but it's often the case that someone else has got there first, and that means you'll need to find a new place to park. Parking has already changed a lot in 2025, with new rates, systems and zones introduced all across the city throughout the year. To allow you to keep on top of things and not get caught out when you're driving around, we've rounded up the big parking changes you need to know about this year in Dubai. New public parking zones introduced in 2025 Credit: Parkin Several new parking zones have been launched throughout 2025 so be wary next time you're driving around. Public parking operator Parkin has launched new zones in major Dubai neighbourhoods. In July, a new 24/7 zone was launched at Al Khail Gate which introduced a flat Dhs30 for daily parking and an hourly tarrif of Dhs4 during both off-peak and peak hours. In May, two new zones were introduced in Mirdif which covers on-street and off-street parking. Off-peak parking was priced at Dhs2 per hour and during peak hours it was Dhs4 per hour. The initiative was first rolled out to 107 core locations across the UAE and now residents and visitors will soon be able to use its eWallet system across 18 new locations in Dubai. The new ticket-free and automatic parking payments using your Salik account will be available at these new locations. Locations include the Union Coops in Al Twar, Silicon Oasis, Al Quoz, Al Barsha, Mankhool and Nad Al Hamar. The Beach JBR, Park Islands, Heera Beach, Park Islands, Marina Walk, West Palm Beach, Opus Tower, Lulu Al Qusais and Azure Residence are also included in the new Salik/Parkonic locations. As long as your timing is right, you can make some major savings on parking at some of the city's biggest malls and focus, instead, on grabbing bargains. BurJuman has introduced Automatic Number Plate Recognition to calculate fees. It means that there's no longer a need for a ticket but you'll still need to pay at a machine and rates have not changed. City Centre Deira, Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif all removed barriers in their respective parking zones. Rates have not changed as a result of the changes. Parking to change at Dubai public parks (Credit: Supplied) The city's official parking operator, Parkin, is set to take over public parking facilities at some of the emirate's biggest and most popular public parks. An agreement between Parkin and Dubai Municipality means that the parking operator will now manage several select free public parking facilities that are owned by Dubai Municipality. The two parties will develop planning and regulatory standards, streamline permit procedures and enable data exchange to support services. It has not yet been revealed which sites Parkin will begin operating the parking facilities at. But Dubai Municipality do operate the likes of Al Safa Park, Dubai Frame and Quranic Park. New parking rates across Dubai In 2025, new parking tariffs have been introduced across the city at Parkin-controlled on-street and off-street zones. Premium spaces across the city have been hiked up to Dhs6 per hour at several zones across the city. It also clarified the peak and off-peak parking hours in Dubai. The increase in tariffs was announced alongside a change to dynamic Salik toll gate pricing in November 2024, but came into effect on Friday April 5 in 2025. Peak pricing will apply to six out of the 14 chargeable hours per day – 8am to 10am plus 4pm to 8pm – but these prices will not be in place on Sundays or on public holidays. Tariffs during off-peak hours will be unchanged. This means that what you pay will not change between 10am and 4pm as well as between 8pm and 10pm. Parking fee increases in Dubai (Credit: Canva) Since the introduction of new Parkin rates in Zones A, B, C and D, price hikes have been introduced in specific neighbourhoods. Parking during major events at Dubai World Trade Centre has seen a significant spike to Dhs25 per hour. The area surrounding DWTC is now known as a Grand Event Zone, with parking now priced at Dhs25 per hour during big conferences. In April, Parkin doubled fees in four of the emirate's biggest neighbourhoods. Rates increased in Al Karama, Al Qusais, Madinat Dubai Al Melaheyah and Al Kiraf. Previously, Zone W parking spots cost Dhs2, but this latest announcement means that the price is now double. In February, fees increased in the Al Sufouh 2 area, which meant a hike in hourly prices in Barsha Heights, Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City. Teachers and students to get cheaper parking (Credit: Canva) The city's official parking operator, Parkin, just announced it is changing the rules around parking fees, offering certain individuals a budget subscription fee. Offering new public parking subscriptions, the fees will be available to students, as well as the staff of private education centres. There will also be a new subscription fee for anyone seeking multi-storey parking access across the city. For students, the fee will start at Dhs100 per month, allowing access to both roadside and plots parking with zone codes A, B, C and D within a 500m radius of their campus. The suites will have sliding doors, and the 1-1 seating will face away from the aisle to provide privacy even when the door is open. Installed in the suite is a 17-inch touchscreen for watching films and TV shows. There's a Bluetooth connection so passengers can connect their own headphones. Lighting has been added around the suite, such as under the seat and inside storage areas, to give a dull glow and a relaxing vibe rather than bright lighting from above. Like other suites, all of the seats in business class can be turned into flatbeds. In the current business suites, every passenger can lay flat, but not everyone has direct aisle access. The airline vice-president Daniel Kerrison said: 'The increased height of the back-shell, a sliding suite door and direct aisle access for every passenger create a level of privacy never before seen on Boeing 737s,." The suites were initially set to launch in 2023, but have been delayed. A spokesperson for flydubai told Executive Traveller the new suites are "still in the pipeline for 2025." A flight from Dubai to Saudi Arabia's Riyadh starts from AED 575 (£116). With Emirates, flights from Dubai to Riyadh start at £260. Meanwhile, Emirates recently revealed its new cabins after launching its A350-900 aircraft. Inside, economy passengers can enjoy roomier seats, set across a 3-3-3 formation. Each seat is designed in light blue and bronze, with a six-way adjustable headrest along with full neck support. The premium economy seats, which launched in 2022, are in a 2-3-2 formation. Each one has leather reclining seats as well as footrests and adjustable headrests. Business seats are set across a 1-2-1 cabin with "S Lounge" lie-flat seats, charging ports, a minibar and 4K TV screens incorporated in the suites.
