New parking fees in 4 Dubai neighbourhoods including Al Karama
Dubai's biggest public parking operator has announced new fees in four of the emirate's biggest neighbourhoods. Parkin during peak and off-peak hours has now changed in Al Qusais, Al Karama, Madinat Dubai Al Melaheyah and Al Kiraf. Two separate tariffs have been introduced, with one named Tariff W and the other named Tariff WP. Tariff W applies to Al Qusais First, Al Karama and Madinat Dubai Al Melaheyah and means that motorists will now be charged Dhs4 all day with no peak-hour variation. And Tariff WP applied to Al Kiraf. This tariff means that there will be a Dhs4 per hour charge during non-peak hours. This tariff does mean that there will be a peak hour charge of Dhs6 per hour between 8am until 10am and from 4pm until 8pm. In contrast, regular parking spaces across the city remain priced at Dh4 per hour. Parkin has identified premium parking zones based on three factors: proximity to metro stations (within 500 meters), high occupancy during peak times and dense commercial areas. The pricing adjustments also include a new congestion pricing policy for major events at Dubai World Trade Centre. From February 2025, public parking near high-traffic event zones, such as the Dubai World Trade Centre, mean a charge of Dh25 per hour to manage the surge in demand during exhibitions, festivals and conferences. The grand events tariff will be in place between 8am and 10pm in the area immediately surrounding DWTC with five specific events set aside in the rest of 2025. These can be seen below. Parkin updates Dubai's new parking tariff policy
Parkin Company has provided an update on the new variable parking tariff policy, set to take effect in Dubai on April 4. Following discussions with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), 40 per cent of Parkin's public parking spaces will now be designated as Premium Parking, up from the original 35 per cent. The remaining public parking areas will be categorised as Standard Parking. For private developer spaces, Parkin's portfolio includes 19,200 slots, with about 35 per cent now subject to the variable tariff, up from the previous expectation of no spaces being affected. As previously announced, the tariffs will be determined based on whether the parking facility is Standard or Premium, and the time of use - during peak or off-peak hours. Currently, Parkin operates over 3,200 parking spaces in multi-storey car parks, where the rate remains AED 5 per hour, with a maximum fee of AED 40 for parking over 8 hours in a 24-hour period. Meanwhile, the special tariff of AED 25 per hour that will apply around the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) during major events, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, will affect around 200 parking spaces. At the time of announcement, the following grand events are scheduled to take place at the DWTC in 2025: GITEX (October 13-17) Beautyworld Middle East (October 27-29) Gulfood Manufacturing (November 4-6) The Big 5 (November 24-27) Automechanika Dubai (December 9-11) Want smoother traffic flow and improved parking?
