JJP leader Digvijay Chautala gets threatening video clip on phone; case lodged
The clip was sent from a foreign number Tuesday evening, a party source said.
It conveyed the threat that after Moosewala's killing, his sympathisers would be next.
A case has been filed in Dabwali of Sirsa.
Digvijay Chautala had last year installed a statue of Sidhu Moosewala in Dabwali.
'We have launched investigations… It is not clear which statue is being shown in the video clip. Investigations are on," Dabwali (City) Police Station SHO Anil Kumar Thursday told PTI over the phone.
Around a fortnight ago, Indian National Lok Dal chief Abhay Singh Chautala, who is Digvijay's uncle, had received a death threat in the form of a voice message sent to his son Karan.

A case was lodged by the Chandigarh police in the matter following a complaint.

Womens commission calls for mandatory POSH audits at workplaces in Maharashtra
Mumbai, Aug 6 (PTI) The Maharashtra State Women's Commission has expressed concern over the ineffective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, commonly known as the POSH Act, and proposed mandatory POSH audits in all offices. In a video message on X, the commission's chairperson, Rupali Chakankar, said she observed during her recent state-wide visits that while Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) have been constituted in many workplaces as mandated by the law, they often exist only on paper. 'There is a serious lack of awareness among committee members about their rights, responsibilities and the legal framework, leaving women employees feeling unsafe despite the existence of these committees," she said. To address these concerns, the commission has submitted a proposal to the Minister for Women and Child Development, demanding the issuance of a government resolution (GR) mandating regular audits of POSH compliance, Chakankar said. 'A POSH audit should be treated with the same importance as a financial or fire safety audit," she said. 'Such audits would ensure that workplaces are not only legally compliant but also provide a genuinely safe environment for women employees," she added. During our arrival, and later in Khagarabari, my convoy was attacked under the leadership of Udayan Guha (TMC leader), a state minister, and in the presence of police. I was with Nishith Pramanik in his bulletproof car, which was completely damaged in an attempt to kill me. Udayan Guha is solely responsible for this, and SP Dyutiman Bhattacharya has helped him in this... They brought in Rohingyas and Bangladeshi Muslims to attack us. After Bihar, SIR will be done in West Bengal too... I will see Udayan Guha and Dyutiman Bhattacharya in Court." He further alleged that democracy had "collapsed" in West Bengal.
