Hint over Ange Postecoglou's next job as big money suitor emerges

Speculation continues to swirl over Ange Postecoglou's next coaching job, with a report out of the UK linking him to a Saudi Arabian team.
Postecoglou is on the lookout for another coaching gig after he was sacked by Tottenham despite winning the Europa League and breaking the club's 17-year trophy drought.

Tottenham have since announced former Brentford boss Thomas Frank as their new manager in an appointment that had been widely expected.
Postecoglou, who was spotted at Lord's watching the World Test Championship Final this week, is said to have several clubs from around the world interested in his services.
According to the UK Telegraph, Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli is interested in Postecoglou, with the Asian Champions League winners possibly looking for a new manager if current boss Matthias Jaissle returns to Europe.
Al-Ahli defeated Kawasaki Frontale in the AFC Champions League final with a team featuring Ivan Toney, Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez and Edouard Mendy.
Al-Ahli finished fifth in the Saudi Pro League, 16 points behind champions Al-Ittihad, who have French striker Karim Benzema.
Postecoglou is expected to field offers from several clubs this off-season, with reports the Aussie would like to remain in Europe.

Taking the Al-Ahli job in Saudi Arabia would likely see Postecoglou paid handsomely after he received a payout of around A$12.4 million from Tottenham, including a bonus for getting Spurs to next season's Champions League.
Timing could be an issue for Postecoglou, with Socceroos great Robbie Slater telling Code Sports it might be tough for the 59-year-old to secure a new job before the new season starts in August.
'He put himself in that top echelon by being at a big club and winning a big trophy,' Slater said.
'The way he plays football, I don't think a lower club in the Premier League will look at him and go we can take that risk.
'And 22 Premier League games lost, I can't see one of the big ones again, at least not just yet.

'He might get that opportunity in Europe, maybe Spain or France. I don't know.
'He's gonna get a job. I can't see him not. He will be in demand.
'I think he's done well enough at Celtic to show League success and by lifting this trophy he will stay in one of the top five leagues which is in Italy, France, Germany, Spain or England.'
Football reporter Vince Rugari told ABC's Offsiders last week: 'I honestly think Ange will want to stick in the Premier League, mostly because there is a narrative that his style of football is unsustainable in the Premier League, that he is naive and he can't cut it.
'I think he will want to comprehensively dismantle that point of view and prove it by taking over another club and being successful in the Premier League.'
The Athletic's Charlie Eccleshare wrote on X: 'An element of this I've found really interesting throughout is what's Ange's next job? He's such a hard manager to place in the footballing ecosystem.
'Can sort of imagine a historic club like Ajax where he talks in his first presser about watching Cruyff as a kid with his old man.'
Champions League runners-up Inter Milan are looking for a manager after Simone Inzaghi moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.
But top European clubs could be eager to assess Postecoglou further before appointing him as coach, he could coach a club in Turkey or Greece to further enhance his coaching CV.
Man City star: 'I'd give up a League title to have won Europa League with Spurs'
Kyle Walker is one of Manchester City's most decorated players, but the former Tottenham player has said he would give up one of his six Premier League titles with City to be part of Spurs' drought-breaking Europa League win.
Walker has won six Premier Leagues, four League Cups, two FA Cups and a Champions League at Man City after moving from Tottenham, where he began his career.
The 33-year-old midfielder told his BBC podcast: 'I'd probably give up one Premier League title, not the first, to have won that Europa League with Tottenham because I know what it means.
'Probably my second — although that was the 'Four-midables' (when City won all four domestic trophies).

'It's hard to give one away but for what that moment meant, to say I was in that Spurs squad that won a trophy.'
Walker — who spent eight years at Tottenham — admitted he was a bag of nerves watching his old club beat Manchester United 1-0 last month.
He added: 'It was the first time in a long time I've been nervous — and I wasn't even playing.
'I was there with my iPad and I couldn't sit and watch it. I was walking up and down my room.
'We reached a lot of finals but against better teams who knew how to win.
'They've always been a club that nearly got over the line but not quite. I'm buzzing for them.'

Adam Selwood's plan to run a half marathon to raise money for a mental health charity in honour of his brother Troy – who died earlier this year – emerged following the 41-year-old's death last month. Tragically he never made the date of the race. But in an incredible act of courage, the youngest Selwood brother Scott decided to run a marathon in honour of his two brothers, completing a punishing solo run for charity all alone in the cold wintry Melbourne conditions on Saturday. Selwood decided to run a marathon to help him grieve the loss of his brothers, while also raising money for Carrie Bickmore's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer charity. The 35-year-old Collingwood assistant coach decided to complete South Africa's Big Five Marathon in the wake of Adam's tragic death last month before later pulling out, with Hawthorn and Geelong premiership hero Isaac Smith taking on the task of replacing Scott in South Africa despite having a newborn at home. However, Scott still decided to run a solo marathon in honour of his brothers who were both avid runners. Scott, running in support of Bickmore's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer charity, completed his marathon, by running 42.2km around Albert Park in Melbourne in an impressive three hours and two minutes, an average of 4:19/km. The incredible act saw his brother Joel take to social media to write: 'You would have been forgiven if you weren't up for it today brother.' 'But instead you did it the hardest way possible — underprepared, freezing cold and ran alone against the clock. '42.2km and smashed it. Proud of you Uncle Scooter.' The Selwood boys – Joel, Troy, Adam and Scott Selwood after this year's grand final. Together Scott and Smith have raised more than $55,000 for charity. In a post to Instagram after completing the marathon Scott wrote: 'Not Africa but the importance to the cause stays the same!' 'I learnt some very hard lessons about being underprepared for a marathon also! So did my toenails! 'To everyone who has donated. a very big THANK YOU. This is an incredible cause and with incredible people. It wasn't meant to be for me in Africa but that's when you're lucky to have great people to step in and support (like) Isaac Smith. Good luck team!' Bickmore's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer took two dozen people to South Africa for the Big Five marathon and half-marathon. Smith – running in place of Selwood – finished in 5:33:22, just behind Carrie Bickmore's co-host Tommy Little (5:28:55). Richmond premiership players Brandon Ellis (5:06:11) and Trent Cotchin (5:12:08) also registered strong times. ‘Sick joke': Aussie George Kambosos victim of cruel KO loss to Richardson Hitchins

George Kambosos has suffered the most brutal loss of his career with boxing commentators suggesting he was so outclassed that the fight should not have been allowed to go ahead. The former IBF and WBO world champ was taught a devastating lesson by American Richardson Hitchins on Sunday before the referee stopped the fight in the eighth round. The commentary team noted Hitchins at one point yelled at Kambosos' corner to stop the fight. Boxing analyst Chris Mannix scored the fight 70-63 after seven rounds. 'Surgical performances do not get much more dominant than that,' he said. Boxing guru Dan Rafael was even more savage in his analysis, questioning why the fight was allowed to happen. X SUBSCRIBER ONLY Since his historic triumph over Teofimo Lopez, Kambosos has lost four of his past six fights. Rafael posted on X: 'That the IBF made Kambosos mandatory is a sick joke'. He went on to write: 'Complete and utter destruction in a mismatch. Hitchins easily retains the IBF 140 title in a sensational performance. He wrote earlier: 'Hitchins continues to beat the s*** out of Kambosos. Punishing him, battering him. 'I said it would be a massacre and thru four rounds that is what it is. 4-0 and Hitchins landing at will.' Lopez was ringside for the fight ans offered up some brutal advice to the Australian after the fifth round. 'Move your f***ing head,' he said 'Move you're f***ing head.' Kambosos' career is now at crossroads. He said he did not know what will come next for him. 'I don't know right now. I've had two fights in three months' time, two solid guys. I've been fighting the best,' he said. 'Right now, I'm going to coach my son's footy team. That's what I want to do. We'll go back to the drawing board.' Speaking after the fight, Hitchins said he had watched Kambosos' previous fights with Devin Haney and knew if he was able to take the fight inside he would be able to find success. 'He (Haney) was head-hunting a lot when he was hurt, so I said I'm going to touch him with some short shots and when I did I saw that he squinted,' added Hitchins. 'I smelled blood but I just wanted to keep punishing him. I told his dad, 'If you love your son you should stop the fight'. He was tough. He was a true competitor.
