Another day, another Pixel 10 leak. This time around it's all about pricing and availability in India. And there's some good news. According to today's rumor, the Pixel 10 devices will have the same prices as their predecessors in India, when factoring in the exact same storage amount. That's the same situation as in Europe and North America.
So, with 256GB of storage, the Pixel 10 will cost INR 79,999, the Pixel 10 Pro INR 1,09,999, the Pixel 10 Pro XL INR 1,24,999, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will go for INR 1,72,999. Nothing has changed compared to the launch prices of the Pixel 9 devices, but of course you may know that the Pro XL is now rumored to start at 256GB, not 128GB. There will also be 1TB options available for the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro Fold even if their predecessors didn't get the same treatment.
The Pixel 10 family is allegedly going up for pre-order in India on August 21. The devices will be made official at an event in the US on August 20. Google Store subscribers in India (who signed up by August 19 at 12:30 PM local time) will get an exclusive offer for purchasing all of the new phones aside from the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Verizon customers rejoice! Carrier admits you don't want to deal with this annoyance

Verizon has been the talk of the digital town recently, as the carrier has made some very unpopular decisions lately. However, the company has just published a very interesting report, which shows that it understands that customers don't want to deal with AI customer service. AI has led to thousands of layoffs across multiple industries, as companies move to a human-free future. This future is cheaper and might make fewer mistakes, but it is also devoid of soul. Fortunately, Verizon understands that now, and will hopefully take steps to ensure that its customers don't have to deal with AI agents as much. The most important finding from the report is the fact that the biggest source of frustration for customers is when they're unable to get in touch with a human representative. Additionally, the study found that more people were satisfied with a solution to their problem when it was a human that had helped them. After the study, Verizon claims that it understands that the future shouldn't be AI agents replacing human support reps, but allowing those representatives to enhance productivity using AI instead. Hopefully, this means that we won't be hearing about any mass layoffs over at Verizon any time soon. Many people still prefer going to a physical store to get their problems resolved. | Image credit — Verizon In addition, this report may even lead to Verizon easing off of its employees and not forcing them to use AI tools. Currently, there are certain AI solutions that add extras to a customer's bill in the background, and the representatives have to remain on the lookout, lest they have to deal with an angry user. Verizon ended loyalty discounts a few days back, and that has led to some really severe backlash. There have been dozens of instances of long-time customers loudly announcing that they are leaving the carrier for good. The company has actually backpedaled a bit, and is trying to win people back with new offers and promotions. As such, I think that it's really nice to see that Verizon acknowledges at least one point of contention with customers, and is taking steps to remedy that. Fingers crossed that other companies can learn from this.

Redmi 15 5G in for review

Prasad, 13 August 2025 Today, we are taking a look at the new Redmi 15 5G from Xiaomi. This is the latest budget smartphone in the company's long-running numbered Redmi series and while we can't reveal all the details yet, we can show what the device looks like and talk about some of its features. Starting with the design, the back of the phone looks rather familiar as we have seen similar designs in the past from Oppo and Vivo. There's a rectangular camera island to the top left with three circular elements stacked vertically on the left. In case of the Redmi 15 5G, the camera island is made out of aluminum. Also seen on the back is the icy pattern on the Frosted White variant that we have today. The phone also comes in two other colors, Midnight Black and Sandy Purple, where the former has a plain black look while the latter mimics the appearance of sand dunes. On the front is the 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD with a refresh rate that goes up to 144Hz. There are sizable bezels all-around, but that is to be expected in this segment. The Redmi 15 5G's claim to fame is its large 7000mAh battery. Xiaomi claims this is the only silicon-carbon battery in the segment and that it retains 80% of its life even after 4+ years of use. The phone can also be used as a power bank as it offers 18W reverse wired charging. Meanwhile, the phone itself offers 33W fast charging with a matching charger provided in the box. The Redmi 15 5G is running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset and will come with the company's HyperOS 2 installed. Xiaomi promises two years of OS updates and four years of security updates. Other features include a 50MP camera at the back, IP64 ingress protection, and Dolby-certified audio. The Redmi 15 5G will be launched on August 19, and we will have more details to share then.

Personally, I think the iPhone 17 Pro looks great, and it'll actually be an iPhone that 'we think you're going to love'

*Image credit — Fpt. The redesign for the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro has pretty much been set in stone, as numerous leaks and images have surfaced over the past few months. However, the reception across online circles has been quite mixed, with some people having said some very unkind words about Apple's new flagship phone. I, too, think that Apple is making a mistake, at least to an extent. The iPhone has had a very distinct look for many years, and the new design may lead to people confusing it for a Pixel phone from afar. This would especially be true for the iPhone 17 Air, in my opinion, as it features a slim, elongated rear camera island much like the Google Pixel 9. But, the negative reviews online for a phone that isn't even out yet are, in my eyes, a bit unwarranted. Apple is entering an era of actual innovation, as the foldable iPhone, the iPhone 18, and the iPhone 20 Pro all promise excellent new changes. And the iPhone 17 Pro will kick off that era with some excellent decisions being made by the company. Here's why I think the new iPhone 17 Pro is not only a looker, but the first iPhone in years that isn't just a marginal upgrade. iPhone 17 Pro will shake things up. | Image credit — Majin Bu You see, the thing is, the new iPhone 17 Pro isn't different just for the sake of being so, it has actual advantages that come with its redesign. For starters, the iPhone 17 Pro has better antenna placement, as Apple is moving that to wrap around the bigger rear camera island. This means better coverage as the antenna will be less likely to be covered by your hands or a phone case. The larger rear island also means that the lenses, the flash, and the sensor can be spaced apart better. While it's not necessarily confirmed, some people allege that this will lead to better photography and video quality, especially if the flash is being used. They've argued that the flash won't interfere with the cameras as much, and Apple can allow more light in as a result. Lastly, and most importantly for me, the iPhone 17 Pro is getting thicker instead of being slimmed down even further. This is because Samsung and Apple are diverging in how they approach their flagships moving forward. While the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will become even thinner — and retain the 5,000 mAh battery — the iPhone 17 Pro will opt for a larger battery than its predecessor instead. Coupled with the new AI-powered battery management found in iOS 26, Apple may actually deliver a phone that outlasts it competition handily this year, literally speaking. Come on, it's not as bad as everyone's making it out to be! | Image credit — Setsuna Digital Now, here's the really contentious part, I genuinely think that the iPhone 17 Pro looks pretty great. As more and more details have come out, and its renders have improved, it's begun to look a lot better than it did a few months back. I also think that it'll look even better in person than it does in the images. The iPhone has had the same look for so long, it was time for change. In my opinion, and feel free to disagree, the new iPhone 17 Pro looks like a very modern phone. I can easily see this becoming a fan favorite down the line. Also, it's not like it's losing its identity: the iconic triple-camera setup remains atop the larger rear island. And, before you point it out yet again, yes: I'm aware that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra had a similar design all the way back in 2021. The iPhone 17 Pro is in no way a phone with a unique design that has never been seen before, but it still looks like it definitely belongs in 2025. Apple is also trying new things to spice up the redesign. My favorite piece of news in recent days has been about a Liquid Glass color option for the iPhone 17 Pro. Apparently, that color option will make the Pro models reflect in various ways under different lighting conditions, and that just sounds brilliant. And, of course, we can't forget the hardware improvements being made this year. I've mentioned the larger battery, but what I haven't talked about yet is the increased RAM and improved displays. All iPhone 17 models will have 120 Hz LTPO screens ( ProMotion, as Apple calls it ), and almost all of them will have 12 GB of RAM. In fact, if the supply chain cooperates, then all of them will have more RAM. So, if CEO Tim Cook takes the stage this year and says that Apple has an iPhone that he's sure we're going to love, I'll feel more inclined to believe him than I have in years.
