Trump, Epstein, and the ongoing fallout
President Trump was previously associated with Epstein in the early 2000s, having been photographed with him at social gatherings in Palm Beach. However, there is no direct evidence tying Trump to Epstein's criminal activities. Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and has claimed he distanced himself from Epstein years before the financier's 2019 arrest.
The resurfacing of these conspiracy theories follows the Department of Justice's recent closure of the Epstein case without releasing a so-called 'client list.' That decision has drawn criticism from activists and some right-wing commentators who have alleged a cover-up.
Jones expressed frustration with what he described as a "betrayal" by the justice system and members of the Trump camp.
