Inside Paul Gascoigne's relationship with daughter Bianca as ex Rangers star rushed to hospital
Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne was rushed to hospital after he was discovered to have collapsed at home. The 58-year-old ex football star was admitted to intensive care but is now said to be in a stable condition and recovering.
Gascoigne was found collapsed in his bedroom at his Poole home and was discovered by his friend Steve Foster, who said: "He would like to thank everyone for the support he's received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best."
Among those supporting the star is his former Love Island star daughter, Bianca Gascoigne. While the 38-year-old reality TV star and model isn't said to be directly by his side, she is reportedly in close contact to keep informed about her star dad's condition, writes The Mirror.
Bianca is one of three children Paul shares with his ex-wife Sheryl. Gazza adopted Bianca and her older brother Mason, who Sheryl welcomed with first husband Colin. Gazza decided to adopt the pair after getting into a relationship with their mother. Gazza and Sheryl also share a biological son, Regan.
Back in 2014, Gazza had been found drunk outside his home and taken to hospital and Bianca thanked her fans for their support of her dad.
Fans were quick to send supportive messages to her on social media and she replied: "Thank you for your kind words." She is yet to respond to his current situation.
In 2017, Bianca was set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house and before she did she opened up on her relationship with her father and the fears she had. At the time, she was said to have told pals she was worried about getting a phone call during her time on the reality show.
"I worry about Dad. We've become close over this last year," she told a friend, according to the Daily Star Sunday at the time. "My absolute worst fear is getting that call in the house that the worst has happened."
And four years after that, Bianca posted a sweet photo alongside her dad as they enjoyed a family day out. "One for the books," she captioned the post which showed the duo laughing and smiling. "Moments like these I will cherish forever all the family back together."
The pair were seen sticking their tongues out for the camera before another showed her, Gazza and her brother Regan strolling through the town centre as they took advantage of the sunshine.
"Yoda, he is," Bianca jokingly wrote in another as she placed a Yoda filter over the former sports star's face as he sang and danced while walking alongside his daughter.
No further details have been confirmed about Paul's latest health scare. It comes just months after he was said to be looking better than ever.
"I feel better now than I have in years," he told the Mirror in May.
He added: "I hope I am at a point that I can really look back over everything I've gone through in my life with a different - and more positive - perspective. After so many years in the spotlight, I feel like it's time people got to know the real me.'

Bring Her Back isn't outright scary, it's a painful slow burn
Horror fans in the UK have had a long wait for the Philippou brothers' latest film UK horror enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Philippou brothers' latest cinematic offering. The directorial duo first made their mark with 2023's Talk To Me, a film that successfully translated the high-energy production style of their wildly popular RackaRacka YouTube channel to the big screen. It was a match made in heaven. Talk To Me was snappy, ultra-violent and absolutely terrifying, and widely considered one of the best modern horror films out there. Naturally, expectations were set high for their newest film Bring Her Back, which premiered in UK cinemas today (July 26). Despite being written concurrently with their debut film and set within the same grim universe, this film takes a very different approach. While Talk To Me delivered smart, large-scale scares and eerie moments that had viewers clutching their light switches at night, Bring Her Back left what its predecessor did best at the front door and instead mastered something else: creeping dread. Without revealing too much, the plot centres around partially-sighted young girl Piper (Sora Wong) and her brother Andy (Billy Barratt), who are placed into foster care following their father's death, reports the Daily Star. Their foster mother Laura (Sally Hawkins) is fun, cool and slightly eccentric. She also keeps her other child Oliver (Jonah Wren Phillips) confined to a room and has drawn a large white circle around her entire property which she regularly maintains. There's no prizes for guessing that something is amiss with Laura, and the situation at home begins to unravel rather dramatically, all unfolding with impeccable pacing. It never lags or feels sluggish; instead, it engulfs you completely until you suddenly realise your bum has gone numb in the cinema seat and the snacks are all gone. For me, it didn't deliver the same impact as Talk To Me, but that was never its intention. Bring Her Back isn't a sequel (we're still eagerly awaiting that), but a film that prioritises adolescent struggles, betrayal and family drama over outright terror. Oh, and some truly disgusting lingering visuals too. Let's be clear, Bring Her Back is a horror film, but primarily it's a film about grief and the monsters it can unleash within us. Holding a mirror up at the audience is an effective tool, even more so when it reflects our darkest parts.

'I spent months trolling influencers in Reddit hate forums – now I feel ashamed'
After Irish YouTuber Adam MacIntyre was reported to ICE by his snark subreddit while touring the US, Reddit shut them down. But his story is just the very tip of the iceberg. Hiding in plain sight are some of Reddit's most toxic communities, created with one sole and explicit purpose: to spread hate. Known as 'snark', these forums range in size from hundreds to literally thousands of members, all anonymous, who congregate to make derogatory posts. The subjects in question? They range from minor influencers to full-blown pop stars, with some of the better-known names including TikTok beauty star Mikaela Noguiera, singer Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. Currently, r/travisandtaylor, aka "The Snark Sub', is one of the largest, with over 158K members. Their raison d'etre, according to the description, is to 'roast and criticize Taylor Swift's PR stunts (looking at you, Travis), her questionable ethics, and the never-ending antics she wants fans to (literally) buy.' They even have an ominous warning in place for any stray Swifties: 'If you're here to defend Mother, you've come to the wrong place.' 'I gambled away thousands from my student loan before I started university' Some of the top-voted posts over the past month have run down her fashion, her choreography and, in particular, the star's relationship with Travis Kelce, which they commonly believe is a calculated PR move. And while some topics could be considered worthwhile discussions, like Taylor Swift's political stances, others are a little more petty. For example, a recent post shows a clip of Taylor Swift dancing with Travis at the US Open Final with a drink in her hand. Comments claim Taylor is "spiralling" or claim she's an "alcoholic", all of which she's never confirmed. But who are the contributors? And why do they do it? A 'snarker', who wishes to remain anonymous, tells The Mirror that they have posted previously on the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce snark subreddit. They also used to visit another influencer's snark. They first came across it about two years ago, but admit they've been reading more lately over the past six or seven months. 'I don't check it often,' they say. 'It just sometimes appears on my algorithm and I read it. Sometimes I even comment about it.' They tell us that they have posted once before but 'it wasn't a healthy move to do it', adding: 'I know everyone makes mistakes and the most we can do is learn from it. I know not everyone who does it has thought about how it can be truly damaging.' For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. Although, there are some bad players who are aware of the impact of their actions. They say: 'I think that snark can do harm when it's intended to do so. Some people have their own pain and want these people to hurt themselves.' A second former snarker, who has also remained anonymous, agrees that this behaviour often comes from a place of hurt. Now 29, they say they used to be an avid reader of a snark subreddit dedicated to YouTuber Trisha Paytas: the now-banned r/Trishyland. The subreddit became known for coming up with wild conspiracies about the YouTuber and mother-of-two, who formerly co-starred on the 'Frenemies on the H3 Podcast' YouTube channel. A popular theory spread on the subreddit was that she was faking her pregnancy. 'I would read it daily, sometimes multiple times a day,' the snarker says. 'Honestly, I had no real motivation. I started watching H3 when Frenemies was going on and the downfall of the show was obviously very interesting with lots of updates. From there it was interesting to keep up with negative updates about her.' They fell further down the rabbit hole, explaining: 'I was really into hard drugs at the time and my life started falling apart and my interest was fizzling out. Then she had her first baby and I think that made me step away 100%. I honestly was on the 'she's faking her pregnancy' train but once I learned that wasn't the case, I couldn't 'enjoy' hating a mother.' However, they share that they haven't fully lost the compulsion to check on hate-centric subreddits. 'Now the 'r/weddingshaming' subreddit comes across my Reddit home page fairly often and I read the posts when I see them." 'Part of the appeal comes from reading a group consensus that someone is in the way it makes you feel like a morally superior person. One, because you're not doing the 'shameful' thing. Two, you are doing the work' of 'educating' yourself on what 'society' things is right/wrong.' Though, they add that it's difficult to fully explain the appeal of snark because 'snark is nonsensical'. What happens when it goes too far? Irish content creator Adam MacIntyre recently spoke out online about his experience with his own now-banned snark subreddit (r/AdamMacIntyreSnark) – after they reported him to ICE. The incident happened after the Derry-born YouTuber began his Chronically Online Tour in the US. Prior to its beginning, he posted a picture of his O-1 visa to X, expressing his excitement. O-1 Visas are temporary work visas granted to those who have demonstrated extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or have a record of extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry. However, in late June a member of r/AdamMcIntyreSnark reposted the image on the subreddit with the caption 'Someone Posted About Visas'. Users then appeared to misread the 'R' on the image as indicating an R-1 visa, which is intended for those conducting religious work. This led to accusations that he had received the visa fraudulently – with a commenter even sharing a screenshot of a report they had sent to ICE asking for Adam to be deported. Adam came onto his YouTube channel to discuss the situation. He said: 'When it comes to snark I will usually put my hands up and allow people to do what they're doing, because I don't want to criticise how people talk about people – even if that person is me… But there's something truly disgusting about weaponising ICE against people.' A statement was also released across Adam's social media channels on Monday July 7 explaining that he had 'initiated a formal legal investigation' in response to the activities related to the snark page. The subreddit has since been taken down. A Reddit spokesperson told The Mirror that harassment and bullying have no place on Reddit and that their rules explicitly prohibit this behaviour. This includes real-world harassment and actions that would threaten a person's safety. They said that, from their investigation, it appears that the behavior was limited to one user account that has since been deleted. The spokesperson added that they will continue to monitor their platform for violating behavior and take action where appropriate.

Corrie star Jack P. Shepherd beams as he arrives in a red Mustang ready to tie the knot with fiancée Hanni Treweek at Manchester Cathedral as he's joined by his fellow soap stars
Jack P. Shepherd arrived in style to his Manchester wedding as he prepares to marry his stunning partner Hanni Treweek on Saturday. The Coronation Street actor and his partner Hanni will be surrounded by friends, family and colleagues as they tie the knot at Manchester Cathedral. Jack, who has played the iconic David Platt on the ITV show since 2000, cut a dapper figure in a white suit as he arrived in a red mustang with his mum and his son. Lucy Fallon, who plays David's niece Bethany Platt, turned heads in a plunging yellow gown, teamed with gold strappy heels. Jack, who won Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, previously revealed he took part in the show in order to pay for the wedding. It comes after Hanni got wedding ready during a girls' day out at The Ivy restaurant for her hen party earlier this month. Hanni, who was a colleague of Jack's as a storyline writer and researcher on Corrie, looked stunning in a high-neck white lace mini-dress as she danced the night away to live music. It came after she enjoyed lunch and cocktails at The Ivy, where she posed for snaps with her pals and drank from a giant 'Bride' straw - with her hens all wearing Jack masks. Taking to her Instagram Story on Sunday, Hanni also revealed that she and Jack had been at a lesson for their first dance, as she shared a mirror selfie of the pair in a studio captioned: 'Hungover but dancing through as Mrs Shepherd to be .' She captioned her hen party snaps: 'The non hen party party, two weeks before the wedding. 25 years of a special friendship with these beautiful girlies, how lucky are we. 'I love you all so much, thank you for throwing me a non hen party party it was perfect. The next time I see you I'll be walking down the aisle.' Back in June, Hanni shared a sweet post about her husband-to-be as they celebrated a year since getting engaged. Hanni shared a sweet tribute to her husband as she counted down the days to the nuptials. Sharing a collection of throwback snaps from their trip to the Serengeti where he asked her to be his wife, Hanni wrote: '365 days of being your Fiancée. 51 days until we become Husband & Wife. 'Looking back at the most special memories with you, Tanzania will always hold a special place in my heart ⛺️❤️ Happy one year anniversary. What a magical year it's been ✨.' Resharing the post on his Instagram Story, Jack wrote: 'Happy one year anniversary @hannitreweek. I'm so lucky to call you my future wife.' At the time, the couple posed for loved-up snaps in their safari getups to announce the happy news on social media. Flashing her sparkling engagement ring, Hannah beamed for the camera before kissing her new fiancé. Captioning the snaps, she gushed: '05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!' Jack and Hanni have been dating since 2017, after meeting on the soap when she worked in the press office. She later became a storyliner on the ITV show, before quitting to work as a fashion influencer. Despite being colleagues, their romance actually began when Jack impressed Hanni at a mutual friend's wedding. Speaking to OK! Magazine in 2020, Jack recalled: 'Then our mutual friends got married and we were both guests at the wedding. Hanni posed for snaps with her pals for snaps at The Ivy, with her hens all wearing Jack masks 'We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.' The duo then later bumped into each other once again in a Sainsbury's, which led to an exchange of texts and a blossoming romance. He told The Daily Star: 'I texted her afterwards and said 'that was awkward' and she told me she thought she looked a mess and then we started texting from there. 'I actually thought she looked fit – I just saw the girl I fancy wearing Lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked.'
