Anita Vaughan Reflects On Will Ospreay's Pedigree on ‘Triple H' Going Viral

Yahoo29-05-2025
Once upon a time in the Multiverse Rumble, Will Ospreay nailed Triple H Anita Vaughan with the Pedigree. Luckily, Vaughan has lived to tell the tale with WrestleZone.
On February 7, Pro-Wrestling EVE hosted its Multiverse Rumble event from London, England, with over a dozen competitors in the rumble match. For this particular bout, competitors dressed up as and paid homage to figures in both wrestling and pop culture. In Vaughan's case, she parodied WWE Hall of Famer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, fake beard and all. This decision later came back to haunt Vaughan, however, as EVE producer and AEW star Will Ospreay flipped the bird and laid her out with a Pedigree, Triple H's iconic finishing move.

Clips of this scene have since gone viral across social media, revealing that Ospreay suffered instant karma by being eliminated by Rayne Leverkusen, dressed as Shane McMahon, right after.
'That spot was a lot of fun,' Vaughan told WrestleZone. 'The Multiverse Rumble is just that, it's just meant to be fun. Will obviously helps producing the shows and he plays such a big part. It's unbelievable to have someone like Will Ospreay backstage and helping out and everything he does with Eve as well, how he platforms it, how he supports it. Of course, he gets to be a part of the product as well in sometimes the most fun ways I've ever been involved in wrestling.'
Vaughan Explains Pedigree Backstory
How did this spot come together? According to Vaughan, who now reigns as the EVE International Champion, they planted the seeds for it a while ago.

'Before [my tag partner] Debbie Keitel went to Japan, I remember we had [an idea of] like 'Oh maybe we can do DX or something.' She could be Shawn Michaels. I could be Triple H. I was like 'That would be really sick.' Then I just couldn't get it out of my head that I could be Triple H. I've done jokes and stuff with people backstage where like I'm Triple H. We'll do like the water take and stuff. It almost was a private joke coming into real life in the ring. Then you just add the layer of Will Ospreay hitting Triple H a pedigree. It was really sick.
'I've never hit so many Triple H moves in my life in that time,' Vaughan added. 'I found out I can do a decent spine buster, so now it's part of my moveset. I hit many a pedigree and I took my first ever pedigree from Will Ospreay, so that's a part of history now. '

Trump signs executive order re-establishing Presidential Fitness Test: ‘MAKE AMERICA FIT AGAIN!'

President Trump, flanked by star athletes, signed an executive order Thursday re-establishing the Presidential Fitness Test for public schoolchildren after the Obama administration shifted the program's focus away from athletic feats. 'We're officially restoring the Presidential Fitness Test and the Presidential Fitness Award – and it's going to be a very big thing,' Trump said in remarks from the White House. 'It was a big deal,' the president said of the competition the test fostered in schools. 4 Trump's order will reinstate the Presidential Fitness Test that was scrapped by former President Barack Obama. Getty Images 'This was a wonderful tradition, and we're bringing it back.' The fitness test was introduced by former President Dwight Eisenhower in 1956 and had required students to perform situps, pullups or pushups, a sit-and-reach test and a one-mile run until it was altered in 2012. Members of the President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, including professional golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Annika Sorenstam, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor and former WWE wrestler Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, who is the son-in-law of Education Secretary Linda McMahon, joined Trump at the signing ceremony. 'We have an opportunity … to literally change the fabric of kids lives,' DeChambeau, a two-time major winner and frequent Trump golfing partner, said. At one point, Trump grabbed ahold of 56-year-old Triple H's bicep and noted: 'He is still very strong. He's a strong guy.' Triple H, now a WWE executive, noted that health, fitness, sports and nutrition 'has been such an important part of my life' since his teenage years. 'I think learning that at a young age sets you up for success in life,' the 14-time WWE champion said. 'And without it, you're at a lesser place for it. So I look forward to the opportunity to do this.' 4 Trump was joined by superstar athletes, including the WWE's Triple H, at the White House ceremony. AP 4 The athletes, including Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, are members of the president's sports and fitness council. AP Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke about the 'pride' he felt as a child when he performed well on the Presidential Fitness Test. 'You had to do sit ups, you had to do pull ups, a shuttle runs, you had to do one-mile runs, and they awarded the top 15% with a badge and with recognition and with a certificate,' Kennedy recalled. 'And for me, it was a huge item of pride when I was growing up.' 'We need to re-instill that spirit of competition and that spirit and that commitment to nutrition and physical fitness,' he argued. 'And I'm so grateful to President Trump for your leadership and bringing this back for our country.' 4 The test requires students to run a mile and perform other fitness feats. 5th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt had announced the executive order was incoming earlier Wednesday and said it was part of Trump's efforts to reward 'excellence in physical education' and 'MAKE AMERICA FIT AGAIN!' Under former President Barack Obama, the test 'moved away from recognizing athletic performance to providing a barometer on student's health.' Obama's Presidential Youth Fitness Program continued though Trump's first term and the Biden administration. Trump on Wednesday also said his sports council would assist with issues pertaining to college athletics and women's sports. 'It's a mess, what happened. What they're doing with college football, and the fans are upset about it,' he said, lamenting that college football athletes are being 'traded around like playing cards.'

Eagle-Eyed Fans Noticed Ana de Armas Liked a Shady Post Targeting One of Tom Cruise's Ex-Wives

If you were doubting Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise's relationship, this telling social media moment may show there's more going on than fans may think, and it may be riddled with jealousy. So let's catch you up on this: Armas liked a shady post about Cruise's ex-wife Nicole Kidman, and it's set the internet on fire. More from SheKnows Tom Cruise & Ana de Armas Prove They're Done Hiding Their Relationship With Some Bold PDA The post from @celebmess included a photo of Kidman from 1996 alongside a more recent picture of her in 2024. Then, in the post, there's screenshots from a 2007 Marie Claire interview where Nicole was asked about appearance, and said she didn't go Botox. It was a shady post, and eagle-eyed fans caught that Armas liked it. In fact, the comment section were flooded with people saying things like 'Why did Ana de Armas like this?!' and 'umm she likes this bc Nicole is tom ex wife btw 😂 that's kinda nasty actually 😂😂😂.' Now, yes, Cruise and Kidman adopted two children and were married for 10 years. The pair met on the set of the hit film Days of Thunder and tied the knot a year later on Christmas Eve in 1990. They worked together on-screen again for the western film Far and Away two years later, and again in 1999 for Eyes Wide Shut. Despite officials saying it was an amicable split, Nicole Kidman said she was blindsided when Tom Cruise filed for divorce from her in 2001. Before Kidman became the superstar she is today, she told Marie Claire, per Goalcast, that she felt like a trophy at the beginning of their marriage. 'I thought, I don't deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars, and I would think, I'm here to support [Tom]. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and to be seen and not heard.' And now, Cruise is seemingly with Armas, but this shady post has the internet talking (and speculating).Best of SheKnows Tom Cruise's Full Dating History Is Filled With Many A-List Women Who Is Pamela Anderson Dating? WWE SummerSlam 2025 Most Glaring Omissions And Biggest Snubs

WWE SummerSlam will take place across two nights for the first time ever, but even then, there isn't enough space on the card for everyone. As has been the new norm in Triple H's era, less is deemed more. The typical Triple H-booked WWE pay-per-view has featured just five matches, which has often allowed for longer, typically better, bouts. On the flip side, critics have pointed out how that has excluded a plethora of top stars from even some of its biggest events, which can be detrimental both to show quality and fan experience. This year's blockbuster SummerSlam event is expanding its card slightly, with six announced matches for each night thus far. But even with an additional pair of three-hour pre-shows, a significant portion of WWE's deep and talented roster will be watching SummerSlam from the sidelines. Here are the biggest snubs and most glaring omissions from the 2025 WWE SummerSlam card. Damian Priest vs. Aleister Black Damian Priest vs. Aleister Black will take place during WWE SummerSlam weekend. Just not at SummerSlam itself. The bout between two of SmackDown's most prominent upper midcarders will instead happen on the pre-SummerSlam edition of SmackDown. Of course, that gives the blue brand a marquee match on its go-home show, but it also leaves Priest, one of its top stars, and Black, the recently returning hard-hitter, off of SummerSlam altogether. Particularly after Priest earned the praises of WWE officials by working through injuries and performing at an incredibly high level over the past few years, it's shocking that the former world champion isn't going to be on SummerSlam at all. Ditto for Black, who just made his triumphant return to WWE a few months ago and is a potential main eventer with the right booking. A memorable SmackDown bout could do the trick for Black and Priest, but it's not quite the same spotlight as performing in front of 40,000-plus fans at MetLife Stadium. Stephanie Vaquer Stephanie Vaquer got her breakthrough moment at last month's WWE Evolution, where she won a battle royal for a Women's World Championship match at Clash in Paris on Aug. 31. But when it comes to WWE Summerslam, it simply isn't in the cards for 'La Primera.' Over the past couple of weeks, Vaquer has been loosely feuding with her expected Clash in Paris opponent, Naomi, but with that event less than a month away, WWE hasn't been able to give her anything truly compelling to do. As Naomi is set to battle Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky at WWE SummerSlam, Vaquer is stuck playing the waiting game even though she's one of the hottest acts in all of WWE. Rusev vs. Sheamus As is the case with Priest vs. Black, Rusev vs. Sheamus is an upper midcard rivalry that has produced some solid TV content but is losing out on a SummerSlam spot in favor of other bigger priorities. Sheamus, however, ranks among WWE's most beloved legends while Rusev hasn't really gotten out of the gate since his recent return to WWE. The only thing of note Rusev has done is feud with Sheamus, and it's clear that the two have great chemistry and could produce a high-quality pay-per-view match if given the opportunity. In fact, Rusev and Sheamus have already delivered two very good bouts on Raw, and Sheamus, of course, is known for producing hard-hitting 'bangers' on PPV whenever he's given the chance. As of right now, however, neither Sheamus nor Rusev is operating outside of the tiny bubble that is their feud. It may take Sheamus and/or Rusev feuding with someone else on Raw to avoid being consistently left off pay-per-view cards as they will be at WWE Summerslam. The good news is that Raw's Netflix viewership has been strong, so they will still be performing in front of a large worldwide audience. Plus, there's an off chance that they face off yet again at Clash in Paris, an ideal event for their smash-mouth style of wrestling. Bayley Bayley has been venting about her absence from WWE SummerSlam 2025, so much so that it's blatantly obvious that it's all part of a storyline. The likely character direction for 'The Role Model' is a blockbuster heel turn, and the likely location for that is at SummerSlam. More specifically, Bayley is almost assuredly going to interfere in the 'No DQs, No Countouts Last Chance" Intercontinental Championship match between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria, costing Valkyria the match in the process. Still, Bayley has been doing some tremendous character work and delivering plenty of stellar in-ring performances. What's unfortunate is that she is the odd woman out at WWE SummerSlam, and it doesn't appear as if she'll ever get that marquee pay-per-view singles match against Lynch. LA Knight LA Knight is an unlucky victim of the circumstances surrounding Seth Rollins and plans for the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase. At last month's edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, Knight shockingly beat Rollins due to a knee injury suffered mid-match by Rollins. Original plans had Rollins winning that match and then Knight getting his win back at WWE SummerSlam, a victory that would have been one of the biggest of Knight's career. Instead, Rollins' injury caused Knight to win abruptly in a very flat finish, and Rollins may still be pencilled in for a successful Money in the Bank cash-in after Saturday's main event between CM Punk and Gunther. So, where has that left Knight? Well, off the SummerSlam card and essentially out of the loop altogether. Chalk Knight's expected WWE SummerSlam absence as another hiccup standing in the way of 'The Megastar' after repeated missed opportunities by the creative team.
