ITV lost sound during Stephen Bunting's Australian Darts Masters opener

But disaster struck during the live broadcast of Stephen Bunting's opener against Aussie player Brody Klinge this morning.
ITV suffered a major technical fault as they completely lost the sound.
Things went mute for a brief period and the commentators could not be heard.
The sound problem was soon fixed but during the difficulty, ITV flashed up an apology on screen.

Bunting was 5-1 up at the time and he went on to clinch a 6-1 victory.
The Bullet will face either Josh Rock or Simon Whitlock in tomorrow's quarter-final.
Despite being the world No.4, Bunting is seeded top in Australia as it is done on points accumulated at other World Series events.
Meanwhile, Rock is making his competition debut and he arrives in Wollongong in stunning form after winning the World Cup and reaching the semi-final of the World Matchplay.

Before his opener against Whitlock, Rock said: "I'm very excited to be here.

City have told Jack Grealish, James McAtee, Kalvin Phillips and keeper Stefan Ortega that they can leave if the right offer comes along. Grealish is attracting interest from Everton and Napoli, but the Blues may be forced to accept a loan deal that would see them subsidise the £300,000-a-week wages of a player who cost them £100million. McAtee is emerging as a potential target for Tottenham following the injury to James Maddison, while both Nottingham Forest and Eintracht Frankfurt have already been informed that they will have to pay close to £40million for the England Under-21 captain after the German club were told their initial £25million enquiry was not enough. There is also interest in the Bundesliga for Ortega, the keeper who wants a move to stake a claim for a place in Germany's World Cup squad. And while £42million misfit Phillips is on the radar of former club Leeds after a season spent on loan at Ipswich, the midfielder's £120,000-a-week wages are an issue. How will Man City do this season? The future of all three players could go right to the wire on September 1, with interested clubs looking to test City's resolve on how the numbers add up. Viana is also progressing loan deals for a trio of foreign talents in Claudio Echeverri, Vitor Reis and Nypan, with sister club Girona interested in all three. Guardiola has continued to insist that his policy on keeping a limit on squad numbers needs to be maintained despite seeing City's season undermined by a succession of injuries to key players. LUKE LITTLER was told he needs to RETIRE after winning the Australian Darts Masters. The teen sensation beat Mike De Decker 8-4 in the final in Wollongong on Saturday. 2 Littler, 18, picked up his first World Series title of the year and £20,000 prize money before his Belgian rival joked on stage 'he needs to retire because it's not fun anymore'. On quitting, The Nuke smiled: 'Nope, not yet!' Littler also produced a cheeky new headshake and swagger before throwing after getting some stick from the Aussie fans. He explained: 'From the first game there was a group to my right and then in the final every time I didn't hit a treble, they were like 'rubbish, rubbish'. Someone said I was 'washed'. 'Not sure what he meant. Obviously I'd just won. The darts did the talking.' Littler was in total control of the final, hitting six 180s in the opening six legs and led 4-2 thanks to a wonderful 143 finish. A bull checkout put him 7-4 in front and he soon wrapped it up with double 16. He said: 'I played really well tonight. I didn't play too well last night. But tonight was what really mattered. 'I knew if I won the first game it would be a very long night. I'm very happy. 'It's been quite a while since I won on the World Series. To travel all this way I wanted to win. Especially after just falling short in the final last year. 'Any losing final motivates me. You always want to come back and do one better. 'As a World Champion you need to be winning things. It took five months but to go and win at the Matchplay and now I've won here as well. I've got that winning feeling back in me.' De Decker picked up £10,000 and beat an unwell Luke Humphries 6-0 in the quarters on the way to the final. He said: 'People said I didn't deserve it so I'm really happy I got a trophy now. 'I'm just happy to get to the final. I'm glad I showed I'm still able to play my A game. There's been some ups and downs this year. Reaching the final in this tournament is a big confidence boost.'

Ireland fall to Canada in final warm-up game before Women's Rugby World Cup
Canada scored seven tries on their way to a 47-26 victory over Ireland in their final Women's Rugby World Cup warm-up match. Ireland made 10 changes as they prepare for their first game of the tournament against Japan on August 24th but they were second best in Belfast. Advertisement Canada raced into an early 14-0 lead as Florence Symonds and Justine Pelletier touched down under the posts. Canada's Daleaka Menin was then sent to the sin bin for high contact on Ivana Kiripati and they were made to pay when the hosts halved the deficit through Beibhinn Parsons' try in the corner. Pelletier restored the 14-point lead for Canada before Ireland were reduced to 14 players when captain Neve Jones was shown yellow for conceding too many penalties. Menin barged over for a fourth try before Paige Farries helped make it 33-7 at the break. Julia Schell walked under the sticks to push Canada over the 40-mark but Ireland started to score points of their own. Anna McGann helped herself to a couple of tries and Parson scored a third unanswered try before Canada's Sophie de Goede capped off the win.
