ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Auto Show is coming back for 2025!
The Auto Show will be from Friday, February 28 through Sunday, March 2. The event is filled with many activities, vehicles on display, and chances to win prizes!

Prior to the start of the event, there will be a charity preview event, which will raise funds for local children's charities such as Hope Hall School and Daystar Kids.
Guests will be able to catch a glimpse of the vehicles. Food and drinks will be available.
The event is on Thursday, February 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. Single tickets cost $150. A $1,250 sponsorship package can also be purchased. Learn more about tickets to the preview event by clicking here.
Like last year, the auto show will be at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
The auto show is open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on February 28, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on March 1, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 2.
Organizers of the auto show are recommending guests park their cars in the South Avenue parking garage near the convention center.

Tickets are currently on sale for the auto show. One ticket allows a customer entry to each day of the event.
General admission tickets are $11.85. Kids under five have free admission, tickets for children 5-12 years old are $5.85, and tickets for military, veterans, and seniors are $8.85.

Around 150 new vehicles will be displayed — featuring every car brand in the Greater Rochester Area.
There will also be a contest and raffle. The contest, held by Rochester Area Ford Dealers, will give away two vans to 2025 Ford Friendship Express recipients on the first day. The raffle will have ten winners receive a $500 voucher that can go towards any purchase of a vehicle from a RADA franchised new car dealer.
Furthermore, there will be children's activities from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a pet adoption held by Subaru Loves Pets, MCC Auto Tech will discuss careers, a mobile DMV to process transactions, appearances by the Red Wings' mascots., and more.

Single-vehicle crash closes section of Route 8 in Thomaston
THOMASTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Route 8 northbound at exit 40 in Thomaston is closed due to a single-vehicle crash with serious injuries, shared state police. MCSO: Stolen vehicle recovered, repeat offenders arrested after chase
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Monroe County Sherriff's have arrested two and recovered a stolen vehicle following a chase that started in the Town of Penfield Monday night. According to MCSO, deputies noticed two people getting into a suspicious vehicle at the Marathon gas station on Penfield Road. MCSO said the vehicle had a broken back window and was reported stolen out of Ontario County. MCSO said the driver refused to stop for deputies resulting in a chase that eventually ended on Commonwealth Road in Brighton as the car broke down. According to MCSO, the driver attempted to restart the vehicle with his passenger inside as deputies told them to exit. The two were eventually persuaded to exit and arrested. Dejon Butler, 26, from Waterloo, and John Pisano, 38, from Rochester, were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (3rd) and Obstruction of Governmental Administration (2nd). MCSO noted that Pisano has nine outstanding warrants for his arrest from law enforcement agencies including the New York State Police in Lyons, Auburn, and Waterloo, the Seneca Falls Police Department and the Brighton Police Department. He was transported to Monroe County Jail to await arraignment. Butler was issued several traffic citations and transported to Monroe County Jail. RPD, NYSP respond to accident on East Main Street
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Police Department and New York State Police are responding to a motor vehicle accident on East Main Street in Rochester. A News 8 photographer was on scene and captured images of a severely damaged vehicle, which appears to have run into a pole and a tree. A tow truck was also at the scene. RPD: Two pedestrians hit by car after argument, driver in custody on Denise Road News 8 is awaiting information about the status of the driver and the cause of the accident from authorities.
