Fire broke out on the set of Dhanush's upcoming film Idly Kadai at Anuppapatti village, located in the Andipatti block of Tamil Nadu.
The incident took place on Sunday. Fortunately, it happened after the crew had finished shooting at the location. The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
Idly Kadai is a film, directed and co-produced by actor Dhanush. According to ANI, no injuries have been reported. However, a horrifying video of the incident surface online. In the video, a massive fire break out can be seen burning several houses made of bricks, seemingly for the shoot. Details of the damage or losses incurred due to the fire is yet to be out.
Dhanush had announced his film back in 2024 and has promised to release it later this year. The film, which will also star him in it, will be his fourth directorial venture. Since announcement, the makers of the film have shared several posters. One of the posters showed a roadside shack against a starry night where a man can be seen watching a shopkeeper sitting inside a shop.
The film's music is composed by GV Prakash. Kiran Koushik will be the cinematographer of the film, Produced under the banners Wunderbar Films and Down Pictures, Idly Kadai will be edited by Prasanna GK.
Dhanush was last seen in the film Raayan, which had released to mixed reviews and had collected Rs 154 crore at the box office. That film too was directed by the actor himself and was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 100 crore. That film, however, was produced by Kalanithi Maaran, under his production banner Sun Pictures.
