Rana Daggubati opens up about struggling with action scenes after eye surgery: ‘I even joke with people that I'm almost like the Terminator'
Actor Rana Daggubati, whose series Rana Naidu Season 2 premiered today, recently spoke about undergoing a corneal transplant and the difficulties he has faced during action scenes since the procedure.
Addressing the challenges of filming with a transplanted cornea, Rana told Bollywood Bubble, 'I mean, my eye over the years has kind of become a joke, because I can't see from one side. And during action scenes, it gets really funny if I don't have my lenses on, there's too much dust, and it gets pretty messy. But yeah, I've lived through all of that now. I even joke with people that I'm almost like the Terminator, I've got an eye, a kidney, and a bunch of other things that are transplants. So, if you've seen the Terminator, yes, I'm almost there, guys!'

Rana Daggubati has partial blindness in his right eye and underwent a corneal transplant. The actor has previously discussed the physical and psychological toll of the condition, including emotional challenges that persisted after the surgery. He also revealed that his left eye is a transplant received from a donor. It was in 2016 when Rana first revealed his blindness in the right eye. On the Telugu chat show Memu Saitham, after hearing a young boy share his emotional story, Rana told him: 'Should I tell you one thing? I am blind in my right eye. I see only from my left eye. The one you see is someone else's eye, which was donated to me after his death. If I close my left eye, I can see no one. LV Prasad operated on me when I was young. Study well, we will support you. Be courageous, as you have to look after your family. Sorrows will go away one day, but you have to gear up and keep your family happy always.'
Rana will be seen next in the film Rakshasa Raja, which is said to be a period action drama set in the 1930s during the British colonial era. Offering a larger-than-life adventure, the upcoming film is expected to portray the story of a fictional village, incorporating influences of Portuguese and French cultures into the storyline.

David Beckham's knighthood is the culmination of years of tireless efforts to transcend football and turn himself into a global icon at the "intersection of sport, fashion and business." He had long dreamed of becoming a sir and King Charles III made it a reality when he announced his birthday's honours list on Friday, marking the end of a decades-long journey travelled with his Spice Girl wife Victoria, creator of the eponymous fashion brand. The honour, one of the highest bestowed by the UK state, "is a powerful symbolic marker", Marie Agnes Parmentier, professor of marketing at the University of Montreal and author of several papers on "Posh and Becks", explained to AFP.
