Gillian Anderson is a vision in green on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.
The X-Files alum, 56, looked every bit the movie star at the premiere of The Mastermind, in which Challengers star Josh O'Connor stars as an art thief.
With her blond hair tied back, Anderson wore a rich, green floor-length gown that flowed downward from the waist. She paired the look with a diamond necklace and soft makeup.

While Anderson rose to stardom in the role of Dana Scully in the legendary Fox series, she's made waves in recent years for roles in shows like Sex Education, in which she plays a sex therapist. In September of 2024, she released a book, Want, an anonymous collection of sex fantasies, which she edited. The anthology was so successful that Anderson recently announced a follow-up, the Guardian reported.
As for a return to X-Files, Anderson recently weighed in. With word on the street that Sinners director Ryan Coogler is eyeing a remake, Anderson had a few thoughts. In a recent appearance on ITV1's This Morning, she shared, "I spoke to [Coogler], and what I said was, 'If anyone were to do it, I think you are the perfect person, and best of luck."
As to whether she might appear in the remake in her legendary role as Agent Scully, Anderson said she told Coogler to "call me" if he had any good ideas for the character,Parade previously wrote.'X-Files' alum, 56, Stuns on Cannes Red Carpet in Bold Look first appeared on Parade on May 23, 2025

Mariska Hargitay Confronts Her Late Mother's 'Sex Symbol' Legacy in Emotional 'My Mom Jayne 'Trailer

HBO released the official trailer for Mariska Hargitay's feature film directorial debut My Mom Jayne The documentary will debut on HBO and Max on June 27 In the trailer, Hargitay says that her mother's "career made me want to do it differently, but I want to understand her now"Mariska Hargitay is reclaiming her mother's story — and her own. HBO released the official trailer for Hargitay's directorial film debut My Mom Jayne, which will premiere on HBO and Max on June 27. "I've spent my whole life distancing myself from my mother, Jayne Mansfield, the sex symbol," Hargitay, 61, begins in the trailer. "Her career made me want to do it differently, but I want to understand her now." When Hargitay was just three years old, she, along with her two older brothers, survived the car wreck that killed Mansfield, then just 34, in 1967. The film will hit Max just two days before the 58th anniversary of Mansfield's death. "I don't have any memories of her," Hargitay says in the trailer. "And then my dad died in 2006. I've never talked to my siblings about their experiences," she says of her sister, Jayne Marie Mansfield, brothers Mickey Hargitay Jr. and Zoltan Hargitay, and youngest brother, Tony Cimber, all of whom are featured in the documentary. "I don't know how the hell you got me to do this," Mickey Jr. says in the trailer with a good-natured laugh. And while speaking to her sister, Hargitay admits that she's "envious" of Jayne Marie's memories of their mother. "In the beginning, I had her to myself," Jayne Marie shares. "She'd take me everywhere." Hargitay also discusses what she calls her mother's "persona" with her siblings as they examine Mansfield's "pin-up" public image. The mother they knew widely differed from the bombshell presented to Hollywood. Says Mickey Jr., "I looked the other way because I knew she was really smart." Later in the clip, this time speaking to her youngest brother Tony, Hargitay says that she's "heard things that are really ugly." "I don't know that I want to know those ugly things," says Tony in response. Mansfield was married to Tony's father, Matt Cimber, for roughly a year, during which time they welcomed Tony. Hargitay also address the keeping of family secrets that she's done for years, and how she's gained a newfound understanding that the secrecy doesn't honor anyone. With the initial premiere of My Mom Jayne at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17, Hargitay revealed in the documentary that her biological father is not Mickey Hargitay, the man who raised her, but rather a former Las Vegas entertainer named Nelson Sardelli. The actress opened up further about the shocking revelation in an interview with Vanity Fair, telling the outlet that she went to see Sardelli perform in Atlantic City, N.J., when she was 30 years old. Moved to tears when Hargitay introduced herself, Sardelli said, 'I've been waiting 30 years for this moment.' But Hargitay said she found herself giving him a tough time and going "full Olivia Benson on him," referring to her SVU character. 'I was like, 'I don't want anything, I don't need anything from you.… I have a dad, '' she recalled telling him. 'There was something about loyalty. I wanted to be loyal to Mickey.' As the trailer comes to a close, Hargitay says that she set out on this journey to "[reclaim] our family story. That is what this is about for me. Because she's a part of me. I want to know her as Jayne. My mom Jayne." The North American premiere of My Mom Jayne will take place during the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13 in New York City before the documentary debuts on HBO and Max on June 27. Watch: Michael J. Fox joins search for 'Back to the Future' guitar

June 3 (UPI) -- Gibson announced the start of production on the documentary Lost to the Future on Tuesday. The guitar company is searching for a prop from the 1985 film Back to the Future. Michael J. Singer Huey Lewis even interrupts Fox to say, "You're just too darn loud," his line from his cameo in the film. In the film, Fox played Marty McFly, a 1985 teenager who accidentally travels back to 1955 in Doc Brown's (Lloyd) time machine. While helping his parents (Thompson and Crispin Glover) fall in love at a school dance, he plays a cherry red Gibson ES-345. The guitar is featured in scenes in which Marty plays "Earth Angel" and "Johnny B. Goode" with the band. By 1989 when making Back to the Future Part II, the filmmakers could not find the original guitar from the first film. An Inside Look Into the Private Life of Late Astronaut Sally Ride, as Told by Her Partner Tam (Exclusive Clip)

An Inside Look Into the Private Life of Late Astronaut Sally Ride, as Told by Her Partner Tam (Exclusive Clip) originally appeared on Parade. Tam O'Shaughnessy is sharing the true story of her 27-year relationship with iconic astronaut Sally Ride. In National Geographic's new documentary Sally, O'Shaughnessy, 73, gives insight into the pair's partnership for the first time ever, reflecting on their romance and the sacrifices they both made during their decades-long relationship. O'Shaughnessy and Ride were together until the astronaut's death from pancreatic cancer at age 61 in 2012. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 'Most people only know of Sally as the first American woman in space. Of course, that was no small accomplishment! But Sally was so much more,' O'Shaughnessy exclusively tells Parade. 'She was an athlete, a physicist (she thought of herself as a physicist), a science writer and a champion of science education for all students. We kept our relationship private because of the culture of hostility and discrimination toward LGBTQ+ people at the time. Our families and close friends knew we were a couple, but few others did.' O'Shaughnessy goes on to tell Parade that a few days before Ride died in hospice, she told her she wanted to hold a celebration of life for friends, families and colleagues who helped them build their science education company, Sally Ride Science, as well as her friends at NASA. 'Suddenly I wondered out loud, 'Who am I going to be to the people who don't know we were a couple? Who am I going to be to the world?' Sally thought about it for a moment and then said, 'You decide. Whatever you decide will be the right thing to do,'' O'Shaughnessy recalls. 'Shortly after our conversation, I made up my mind. I decided to be honest. I was very proud of Sally, of our extraordinary relationship, and of the life we built together.' As for what it means to O'Shaughnessy that Sally will premiere during Pride month, the former professional tennis player says there's no better time, explaining to Parade what she hopes people from the LGBTQ+ community will take away from the documentary. Related: 85 'Happy Pride Month' Wishes To Send to Friends and Family 'Never let anyone try to tell you what you should do with your life or whom you should love,' she says. 'Just like Sally, think for yourself and follow your heart. This message is especially crucial now, when the rights of the LGBTQ+ community are under attack. Always be true to yourself. That's how Sally lived her life, even though she kept a part of it private. It's a powerful and universal message.' Directed, written and produced by Emmy Award-winning director Cristina Costantini, Sally also features appearances by tennis legend and advocate Billie Jean King, ex-husband Steve Hawley, fellow NASA class of 1978 astronauts Kathy Sullivan, Anna Fisher and John Fabian, sister Bear Ride, mom Joyce Ride and longtime friend and journalist Lynn Sherr.
