Man faces charges in connection to Prince Albert shooting
A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred in Prince Albert on Tuesday afternoon. At around 12:20 p.m., officers were called to the 400 block of 13th Street East for a reported weapons complaint, the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) said in a news release. Arriving officers found a 48-year-old man with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was then taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Shortly after, officers located a man matching the suspect's description in the 100 block of 14th Street East, where he was arrested without further incident. Officers seized multiple rounds of ammunition and an improvised firearm after a search of the suspect. The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.

Calgary police seek public help to identify suspect in CTrain assault
Calgary police are looking for information to help identify a suspect in a July 11 assault on a CTrain platform. Calgary police are asking for help from the public to identify a suspect in a July assault that took place at the Marlborough CTrain Station. On July 11, at around 4:25 p.m., a man was standing on the platform at the train station when someone assaulted him from behind. The victim fell down, briefly losing consciousness, and the suspect fled. Police say the victim and suspect had no previous interactions and are unknown to each other. The victim was transported to hospital in stable condition and eventually released. Police believe the assault to have been random. Investigators say they're looking for a man described as 5′9″ tall, weighing around 170 pounds with a slender build, blond hair and darker facial hair. He has tattoos on both arms and left legs.
