Bollywood Divas Dazzle in Lehengas at India Couture Week 2025

Hans India30-07-2025
India Couture Week 2025, held in association with Reliance Brands and presented by FDCI, was a star-studded affair where Bollywood's leading ladies graced the ramp as muses for some of India's most celebrated couturiers. From bridal grandeur to modern opulence, the runway came alive with lehengas that told tales of craftsmanship, nostalgia, and fantasy.
Sara Ali Khan in Aisha Rao
Sara Ali Khan concluded Aisha Rao's vibrant showcase in a voluminous lehenga that perfectly captured the spirit of a modern bride. The ensemble, rendered in a rich teakberry tone, featured Rao's signature applique work, refreshed with motifs of cacti, palm trees, and wild flora. She glided down the runway exuding grace and charm, as the collection celebrated the fusion of heritage craftsmanship with a spirited, untamed aesthetic.
Janhvi Kapoor in Jayanti Reddy
Janhvi Kapoor made a striking appearance in Jayanti Reddy's collection that explored timeless beauty through a modern lens. The ensemble was a meticulous blend of traditional embroidery and whimsical elements, embodying the idea of heritage redefined. The lehenga paid homage to legacy while embracing the boldness of a modern bridal silhouette, making it a true showstopper moment.
Bhumi Pednekar in Ritu Kumar
Bhumi Pednekar walked the ramp for Ritu Kumar in a look steeped in cultural memory. 'Threads of Time: Reimagined' drew from India's rich textile traditions and offered a renewed take on heirloom aesthetics. Bhumi's intricately embroidered lehenga reflected the warmth of personal nostalgia and the grandeur of India's design heritage, seamlessly merging past and present.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni in Suneet Varma
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni appeared ethereal as the muse for Suneet Varma's dreamy line, Sehr. The collection found inspiration in the mystique of enchanted forests, brought to life through soft pastels, shimmering crystals, and intricate embroidery. With quiet elegance and glowing poise, Riddhima embodied the collection's romantic narrative on the runway.
Tara Sutaria in RoseRoom by Isha Jajodia
Tara Sutaria closed Isha Jajodia's RoseRoom show in a look that was part couture, part sculpture. Her off-white organza lehenga skirt was paired with a hand-crafted 18K gold-plated corset that took four months to create. Embellished with pearls and enamel floral details, the corset drew inspiration from French baroque architecture. This ensemble was an ode to couture as poetry, where each element celebrated craftsmanship and timeless storytelling.
Tamannaah Bhatia in Rahul Mishra
Opening the couture week with finesse, Tamannaah Bhatia stunned in Rahul Mishra's ivory lehenga from his 'Becoming Love' collection. The look, named 'Giverny,' was hand-embroidered over 2400 hours and featured a delicate interplay of sequins, beads, crystals, and threads. Paired with a halter bralette and dupatta, the ensemble blended feminine elegance with extraordinary artisanal detail.
Khushi Kapoor in Rimzim Dadu
Khushi Kapoor brought a dramatic close to Rimzim Dadu's presentation, channeling strength and sculptural elegance in a futuristic ensemble. Inspired by the delicate links of traditional payals, the look was equal parts art and engineered couture. Her halter top, created using Dadu's pre-oxidised metal technique, shimmered with molten fabric-like ripples. The long skirt featured a chainmail effect reminiscent of antique Banjara jewellery.

Angelina Jolie plans to spill secrets about Brad Pitt in tell-all memoir amid winery feud: 'Could damage his reputation'

Amid the high-profile legal battle over the French winery, Château Miraval, Angelina Jolie is reportedly planning to spill the tea on her marriage to ex-husband and actor Brad Pitt in a tell-all interview and memoir. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie signed off on a divorce settlement on December 30, 2024.(Photo by CARL COURT / AFP) Jolie to spill secrets of her marriage to Pitt According to a report by RadarOnline, the 50-year-old actor and director is considering a tell-all interview and memoir, with sources stating that Jolie is saying, 'If he keeps coming at me, I'll go public. All of it.' For the past nine years, Brad and Angelina have been locked in a bitter and complex battle, with their legal and financial disputes escalating into a heated feud revolving around their shared French vineyard. Now, sources close to Jolie have claimed that Brad reportedly forced her to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which would prevent her from ever speaking publicly about their marriage. This condition was reportedly tied to Brad buying out her share. Now, Brad has filed a motion demanding access to Angelina's private correspondence with Stoli executive Alexey Oliynik, to whom she sold her winery stake. And the actor is not okay with it. 'She's always valued her privacy, but Brad is depleting her resources and leaving her legally trapped. She's receiving lucrative offers to share her perspective. If she decides to do a book or a televised interview, she could earn $50 million or more. And if she reveals everything, it could permanently damage his reputation,' said the source, according to the report. 'She's urging him to move on and leave it behind. But if he won't, she's ready to reveal all the ugly details about their relationship – and that's the threat that could finally see him ditch this legal battle once and for all,' added the source. What is the lawsuit about Earlier this year, in January, it was reported that Aneglina Jolie had returned to court in a legal battle against her ex-husband, just weeks after the former couple reached a settlement in their lengthy divorce proceedings. She officially responded to Brad Pitt's ongoing lawsuit regarding their French vineyards, Château Miraval, on January 17. The dispute over the French winery, which the two purchased during their marriage, began in 2022 when Brad accused Angelina of breaching an agreement not to sell her 50 per cent stake without his approval. They each owned 50% of Miraval. Angelina used her LLC, Nouvel, to purchase her shares. Brad used his LLC, named Mondo Bongo, to buy his interest. Nouvel, in turn, sued Brad for $350 million, accusing him of misusing the winery's assets. Court documents have estimated the winery's worth at around $500 million. Brad claimed he had invested huge time and resources into transforming Miraval into a successful, profitable business. The former couple had originally planned to pass the winery down to their children. Following Angelina's decision to sell, Brad Pitt's team negotiated a deal to purchase her shares for $55.4 million. The agreement included a lump sum of $46 million, with the remaining $8.5 million paid in instalments. The case is ongoing.

Praying for safety, strength and healing for all: Sara Ali Khan Sara Ali Khan, who shot her debut film Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, continues to have a deep connect with the place. She posted a message on social media, "My heart goes out to everyone impacted by the incident in Uttarakhand. Praying for safety, strength and healing for all." It's not just about providing help, it's also about offering hope: Amit Sadh Amit Sadh, who has a home in Mukteshwar, Uttarakhand, says, 'This is a moment to pay respect to those taken before their time and to honour the bravery and resilience of those on the ground — the rescue teams, local heroes, and volunteers working tirelessly in the face of unimaginable challenges. In such times, it's not just about providing help, it's also about offering hope. It is about standing by one another and helping with humanity. At this moment, the focus must remain entirely on the people affected — their safety, recovery, and healing. Conversations around larger causes and climate-related concerns are important, yes, but this is not the time. Right now, it's about standing in solidarity, offering support, and doing everything we can to help those who are suffering.' Tired of too many ads? go ad free now We're going so wrong that nature is turning aggressive: Sudhanshu Pandey Sudhanshu Pandey, who grew up in Nainital, says, 'I have a lot of friends and some family members there. What has happened is disheartening. As humans, we are going so wrong that nature is turning aggressive. I grew up in Nainital, and this kind of calamity really scares me. It is extremely heartbreaking to even think of what the people there must be going through. We are cutting trees that are essential to the environment. We need to stop building hotels and houses in the mountains. We have to start reversing the clock and start planting trees; otherwise, this mayhem is not going to stop. People should raise their voice, and the government should do something about this. We need to live in harmony with the land that sustains us: Jubin Nautiyal Jubin, who hails from Dehradun, says, 'My heart is heavy. The mountains have given me everything – my home, family, voice, peace and purpose. To see them in pain breaks something inside me. My prayers are with every family affected by this devastating flash flood. We must preserve nature and play by its rules. We need to plant more trees, protect our rivers, and live in harmony with the land that sustains us, so that such tragedies don't keep occurring. My heartfelt prayers are with the people of Uttarakhand.' Development comes at a cost: Chitrashi Rawat Chak De India actress Chitrashi Rawat, who hails from Pauri Garhwal and has grown up in Dehradun, says, 'Every other year, we hear of cloudbursts. The mountains in Uttarakhand are geologically young, unlike the Western Ghats, so they're more fragile. With changing weather and heavy construction, the damage only worsens. We want Uttarakhand's economy to grow through tourism, but we also want the mountains to be left untouched. Infrastructure development comes at a cost, and nature isn't easy to negotiate with. These are not just hills, they're our homes. We just hope people come with care, and development happens mindfully.'
