The carnage was triggered by a game where Islanders had to pull comments out of a box and guess who made the dig.
As the truth bombs dropped, fiery characters - who The Sun are choosing to keep shtum to preserve the surprise for viewers - erupted.
What started as a cheeky game quickly spiralled into a full-blown war of words with producers forced to step in.
A source said: 'It was carnage. The game lit the fuse — and it exploded.
'People were coming for each other left, right and centre and it ended up involving the whole cast so producers ended up calling time on it.
'It was the most intense night of the series so far.
'Usually these kind of 'he said, she said' secrets are reserved for Movie Night but the backstabbing and gossip has been so prolific already, this was the perfect time to drop this game into the action.'
The fallout left islanders screaming, crying and pointing fingers — and it all could air in tonight's episode.
Viewers already know Yasmin has been causing a stir over her interactions with Dejon Noel-Williams, 26, and Meg Moore, 25, in the villa and fans have branded her "sex obsessed".
Last night she snogged Harry and Dejon in a game of Beer Pong, leaving Meg seething.
Love Island bombshell Yasmin slammed as 'game-player' as she throws villa into chaos by snogging Harry AND Dejon before row with the girls
Meg made her feelings known earlier during the day after Yasmin, Dejon, and Toni had another chat about threesomes and their "kinks" by the pool.
Meg stormed over and said: "Knowing the whole situation that happened in the challenge and obviously how upset I was about all of this threesome s***.
"To carry that on at the pool, am I a mug? Like, I feel a bit disrespected.'
Yasmin defended herself, insisting: 'It was just flirty banter. I think all of us talk really openly about sex and what we want to experience.'
But Meg wasn't having it, firing back: 'It just seems to be you three all the time.'
Toni eventually jumped in to cut the tension, joking: 'I think we all know we're not having a f***ing threesome.'
YASMIN WREAKS HAVOC
Bombshell Yasmin already made it clear she won't be making friends with the girls in the villa - and she's had relationships with married men.
In Wednesday's episode she took Helena's man Harry for a chat on the terrace where more sexual banter left viewers gasping.
Helena tip-toed over to hear what was being said, and caught the tail end of the chat, with Harry and Yasmin confirming they wanted to get to know each other more.

Dejon laughed - but was soon saved from answering as Meg called out: 'Come here please!" He joked: "You called me at a good time! Oh my god! We'll continue that question." However, the flirty tone continued as she followed up with: 'It was in my head, I had to say it. Intrusive thoughts, intrusive thoughts." After Meg made her feelings known about the comments, the four-piece sat down to put things to rest once and for all. She said: "Knowing the whole situation that happened in the challenge and obviously how upset I was about all of this threesome s***. "To carry that on at the pool, am I a mug? Love Island couple back together as they're pictured in heart to heart at boohoo party weeks after bitter split
HARRIETT Blackmore and Ronnie Vint are back together weeks after splitting and were seen in a cosy heart-to-heart during a showbiz bash last night. The Sun revealed how Love Island stars Harriett, 25, and Ronnie, 28, broke up during a holiday to Ibiza earlier this month. 2 But exclusive snaps show the on/off couple deep in conversation at a Boohoo party on Wednesday night. An insider said: 'Harriett and Ronnie looked very close again as they had a heart to heart at the Boohoo party last night. 'They have worked things out and are focusing on making their relationship a success. 'But they aren't going to make a big announcement because that puts pressure on things and they don't need that.' Harriett and Ronnie first got together after meeting on Love Island last summer. But they split just months later before reuniting during the All Stars spin-off earlier this year. After jetting to Ibiza at the beginning of June, they unfollowed each other on Instagram and Ronnie also wiped his page of photos of Harriett. A rep for the couple later confirmed they'd split. The break up came shortly after Harriett revealed they were planning to move in together. She told the Mirror: "In June. Everything's happening at once. "We're moving up towards London, which is exciting. "It's really close to Matilda (Draper), so we'll be spending a lot of time with her and going back and forth."

Spain captain Alvaro Morata demands a return to his former club - despite spell in Turkey saving his marriage to Italian model Alice Campello following post-Euros split
Spain captain Alvaro Morata has demanded a return to his former club - despite his stay in Turkey saving his marriage. Morata, 32, split with his Italian influencer wife Alice Campello, 30, after his country's European Championship win last summer, but they rekindled their relationship in January this year. The glamorous couple met in 2016 and have four young children — Alessandro, Leonardo (twins), Edoardo, and Bella — but announced last August that they were going their separate ways seven years after tying the knot. Referencing the break-up, the model said: 'It was the biggest mistake we've ever made in our lives.' In a separate interview with Hola magazine, Campello admitted that the couple's move to Turkey has strengthened their marriage, with Morata joining Galatasaray on loan from AC Milan at the start of February. Now, however, as quoted by Spanish publication Diario AS, Morata is trying to force through a move to Spain, in the form of his ex-side Getafe. Morata joined Turkish giants Galatasaray in January after revealing he was back with his wife Reports have suggested the star split with Italian model Alice Campello after an argument on the pitch after Euro 2024 Reports of a potential move back to Spain for Morata are thought to have surfaced from Turkey. He then appeared to confirm that that could happen sooner rather than later, saying this week: 'I'm going to do everything I can to play for Getafe... I would like to return to Spain. I'll choose what makes my family happiest.' What makes his family happiest, though, may be staying in Turkey. Campello said: 'I think it's been very good for us to be in a place where we're alone again. 'We're relaxed there, with our family. People don't stop us so much on the street, and we can live a much more normal life, and at this stage of our lives, it's been good for us.' She also said of her relationship: 'We repeat it every day — I don't know how we could have made that decision. This experience has taught us both a lot because we understood what it's like to be without each other.' Morata also opened up on his battle against depression, admitting he almost did not make it to Germany to captain Spain to Euro 2024 glory. The forward, who received heavy criticism from both fans and journalists in the build-up to the tournament, said: 'When you have really tough times, depression, panic attacks, it doesn't matter what job you do, what situation you have in life, you have another person inside that you have to fight against every day and every night.' Getafe president Angel Torres, meanwhile, said: 'It's very nice. Since he left, he's said many times that he wanted to come back.
