Extremely Hot, Humid Weather Continues in Egypt on Friday, Cairo 36°C
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot to extremely hot, humid weather will prevail across the country during Friday's daylight hours.
The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index 2-3 degrees.
The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, North Coast, Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, and Central Sinai.
Wind will occur occasionally across the country.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves ranging between 1 and 2 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.
The Red Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1.25 and 1.75 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.
Moderately hot weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early hours.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 36°C in Cairo, 30°C in Alexandria, 31°C in Marsa Matruh, 40°C in Sohag, 41°C in Qena, and 42°C in Aswan.

Basant Ahmed The Chief Minister of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, announced that the death toll from the severe floods that swept through several areas of the state has risen to at least 72, while 40 people are still missing. Sukhu added - as reported by India TV in its English version today, Saturday - that the floods caused by heavy rains caused damage to infrastructure, while more than 100 people were injured in rain-related incidents across the state. Turkey sends firefighting aircraft to Syria as wildfires rage on both sides of the border - Region
Turkey sent two firefighting aircraft Saturday to help battle wildfires in neighbouring Syria as Turkish firefighters battled a blaze on their side of the border, and one person was reported dead in the country's west. Eleven fire trucks and water support vehicles were also dispatched to help beat back flames in Syria's northwest Latakia region, according to Raed Al Saleh, the Syrian minister of emergency and disaster management. He posted on X, saying 'sudden wildfires in Turkey' delayed their arrival by almost a day. Turkey has been battling wildfires since June 26. Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said Saturday that firefighters successfully controlled 10 major fires in western Turkey, but an injured forestry worker had died, the third in the municipality of Odemis in Izmir province. Authorities said most of the fires in Izmir were caused by faulty power lines. Meanwhile, in Hatay province, which borders Syria, emergency crews continued fighting a blaze that broke out Friday afternoon in the Dortyol district near a residential area and rapidly intensified due to strong winds, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported. Some 920 homes had been evacuated as a precaution against the advancing flames, Governor Mustafa Musatli said late Friday. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said 44 suspects had been detained in relation to 65 fires that broke out across the country. Fires that have hit Turkey, Greece and Syria over the past week have been fueled by soaring temperatures, strong winds, and low humidity. In Turkey, they led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of people and damaged some 200 homes. The Syrian Civil Defense expressed concerns over the presence of unexploded ordnance from the country's past conflicts in some of the wildfire areas. At Least 24 Killed in Texas Floods
Rana Atef On Saturday, it was reported that at least 24 people have been killed in Texas, US, due to floods. Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said between 23 and 25 of the missing people were staying at a girls' camp in Texas after the Guadalupe River burst its banks at around 4am local time on Friday. The total number of missing is still not identified, according to Sheriff Leitha. As much as 25 cm of heavy rain fell in just a few hours overnight in central Kerr County. An official in the city of Kerville told reporters the flooding took place just before dawn "over a very short period of time that could not be predicted, even with the radar". "We're trying to get the identity of these folks, but we don't have it yet," he said.
