The Kansas City Chiefs will face high expectations in 2025, but one expert believes the reigning AFC champions have what it takes to put themselves in a position to play in a fourth consecutive Super Bowl.
In a recent article that predicts how the NFL's 2025 season might play out, Touchdown Wire's Jarrett Bailey made the case for Kansas City's continued dominance in the AFC West:
"The Chiefs aren't going anywhere, despite what fans of every other team in the division seem to think/try to manifest. As long as Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes are there, the Chiefs will be on top.
Jim Harbaugh wants to play offense like it's 1964, which will only take the Chargers so far. They could be a playoff team, but their ceiling is low.
Denver's defense will be one of the best in the league, but the offense will take a step back with a lack of top weapons."
In the end, Bailey predicted that the Chiefs would end their 2025 regular season campaign with a 14-3 record, a mark high enough to earn the coveted No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs.
While it is far too early to tell if Kansas City's new-look roster will be able to bounce back after the Chiefs' defeat in Super Bowl LIX earlier this year, it may be a good omen for the team if experts like Bailey are bullish on their prospects next season.

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is entering his second season coaching the team, and he has already made a strong impression on his players. Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker raved about Harbaugh's ability to connect with players and his authenticity. "It's fun. It's funny he loves you like your own parents love you. So, he is extremely genuine, which is really fun for all of us. But, man, you never know what you are going to get," Dicker told Fox News Digital Wednesday night. "He has some funny things he says in meetings, same thing (he does) with the media. So, what you see is the way he is with us. It is great." Last season, the Chargers went 11-6 and made the playoffs in Harbaugh's first season. They lost 32-12 in the AFC wild-card round to the Houston Texans. Dicker said the Chargers need "to have fun together" to get over the hump. The 25-year-old kicker said his coach does just that. "I think it is getting together again. Bringing the team together (and) allowing us to have fun together. I think that is what Jim Harbaugh does. We saw that year one with him," Dicker said. "He unites a team. Everyone has fun around him. He's a funny weird dude. He's awesome, a very genuine guy, which is incredible. Also brings out the genuine person you are. And he tries to attack every day like that. He is awesome." Last season, Dicker made 33 of 36 extra point attempts and 39 of 42 field goal attempts. Dicker normally does most of the kicking in his home stadium, SoFi Stadium, but that is about to change. SoFi Stadium is one of the 16 host stadiums for next year's World Cup, and Dicker is excited about it. "The atmosphere, it is going to be incredible. I think it adds another level when you bring in international fans, when you bring in (people) who are just repping their countries. It is going to be … so exciting. I am pumped," Dicker said. Regional airports say they haven't been contacted about anticipated influx of flyers for World Cup
We're one year away from the FIFA World Cup matches here in Atlanta. Fans will come in from all over the world, and while most will fly commercial, many will come in on corporate or executive jets. The Metro Atlanta Chamber said nearly 1,600 private jets flew into metro Atlanta for the Super Bowl. Considering each one of these matches is a potential Super Bowl, those jets have to get parked somewhere. But so far, the airports around metro Atlanta say they haven't heard of a plan. Matthew Smith is not only the airport division director for Gwinnett County's Briscoe Field, he's also the president of the Georgia Airport Association. He's anticipating corporate and executive jets will fly into metro Atlanta for the big FIFA World Cup matches. 'We can handle quite a bit. During the Super Bowl, we had well over 50 jets here.' The major regional airports in the Atlanta area include Fulton's Charlie Brown, DeKalb's PDK, Cobb's McCollum, Gwinnett's Briscoe and the Atlanta Speedway's airport. Smith said, so far, the Atlanta World Cup Hosting Committee hasn't reached out to any of them, but he expects they will. 'I'm sure at some point they'll include us just to make sure we have the capacity to handle what they expect to come in on the private side,' Smith said. Hartsfield-Jackson said it's prepared to handle some through signature and private suites, but any overflow would have to go elsewhere. Cobb's McCollum Field right now said it's more focused on handling flights for this summer's MLB All-Star game than the World Cup, but they added, 'Airport management is currently working with local, state and federal partners to coordinate planning efforts for the upcoming significant special events.' Smith said the regional airports are standing by to help. 'We've handled things like this before. We've had the Super Bowl. We've had the Olympics. We've had the NCAA Finals, and you know, football championships here. So, it's not something we're not used to. We typically can handle it with existing personnel and operations,' Smith said. Smith said Cobb, DeKalb and Fulton County's regional airports all have customs agents if needed.
