Palestinian Resistance Committees Commemorate 19th Anniversary of Heroic 'Operation Dispelled Illusion'

Saba Yemen6 hours ago

Gaza – SABA:
The Palestinian Resistance Committees commemorated on Wednesday the 19th anniversary of the heroic 'Operation Dispelled Illusion,' carried out jointly by Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, Al-Qassam Brigades (military wing of Hamas), and the Army of Islam. The operation came as a direct response to the assassination of the prominent resistance leader and founder of the committees, martyr Jamal Abu Samhadana (Abu Ataya).
In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the committees said that 'Operation Dispelled Illusion' marked a humiliating defeat for the Zionist enemy and opened the door to a major intelligence and security war, which led to the capture of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit from inside his tank and the killing of several Israeli soldiers at the Kerem Shalom military site east of Rafah.
They added that the blessed 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operation on October 7, which humiliated the Zionist entity, is a natural extension of 'Operation Dispelled Illusion' and the subsequent painful blows dealt to Israeli intelligence agencies—demonstrating the superiority of the Palestinian resistance's strategic capabilities. These efforts culminated in the 'Wafa al-Ahrar' prisoner swap deal, which secured the release of over 1,000 Palestinian male and female prisoners against the will of the occupying Zionist regime.
On this occasion, the committees paid tribute to the souls of the martyred commanders: Mohammed Deif, Ahmed Al-Jaabari, Kamal Al-Nairab, Raed Al-Attar, Imad Hamad, Mohammed Abu Shamala, Marwan Issa, Hisham Abu Nasira, and the great martyr of the nation, Ismail Haniyeh.
They also saluted the heroic martyrs who executed the operation—Hamed Al-Rantisi and Mohammed Farwana—and all the brave martyrs who contributed to its success and the prisoner swap deal that followed. Special recognition was given to the members of the 'Shadow Unit' for safeguarding Shalit for over five years.
The committees reaffirmed that the Palestinian resistance, through its various valiant military wings and factions, remains steadfast in its relentless efforts until the liberation of all Palestinian prisoners who endure the oppression of the Zionist jailers in what they described as 'graves of death' known as Zionist prisons.

Israeli enemy forces storm multiple towns & villages in West Bank

Occupied Quds – Saba: The Israeli enemy forces continued their incursions into towns and villages and their assaults on unarmed civilians in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday. In Nablus, a child sustained bruises after being attacked and arrested by Israeli forces in the village of Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus. According to the official Palestinian news agency, enemy soldiers assaulted 17-year-old Karam Nail Oweis while he was passing through the village in his father's vehicle. Sources confirmed that the enemy forces fired live ammunition during Oweis' arrest, beat him, and took him to a building that the enemy had converted into a military barracks four days ago. In northeast occupied Quds, Israeli occupation authorities decided to confiscate land in the town of Hizma. The Quds Governorate reported that the enemy authorities plan to seize the road adjacent to Wadi Azriq in Hizma, starting from the main road leading to the town of Jaba up to Al-Aqabat area, along with adjacent land plots, until December 31, 2027. In Jenin Governorate, Israeli forces stormed the towns of Jalboun and Kafr Dan on Wednesday evening. Local sources reported that enemy soldiers raided Jalboun village, east of Jenin, conducting random searches of houses and deploying in several streets. They also broke into Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, and raided a house. Meanwhile, enemy forces invaded the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, deploying in several neighborhoods and firing sound grenades at Palestinian civilians, though no arrests were reported. Later, Israeli forces deployed infantry units in the streets of Jenin, firing live ammunition randomly and obstructing civilian movement. Local sources confirmed that enemy forces shot at a Palestinian vehicle on Al-Sikka Street in Jenin, detaining its occupants without injuries. Troops also spread across the city center and near the Cinema Roundabout, firing live rounds at civilians. Earlier in the day, Israeli bulldozers continued demolishing houses in Jenin refugee camp as part of a demolition plan announced on June 9, targeting 95 houses across several neighborhoods. Additionally, Israeli military vehicles raided Jenin's commercial center near the vegetable market and main roundabout, storming a shop and confiscating its goods while firing toxic tear gas canisters. In the evening, 15-year-old Rayyan Houshiya was martyred by Israeli gunfire during the invasion of Al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin, raising the number of martyrs in the governorate since the aggression began on January 21 to 40. The Israeli enemy has continued its aggression on Jenin and its camp for the 156th consecutive day. Official estimates indicate that around 55,000 people have been displaced from the camp and its surroundings, with 600 houses completely destroyed and numerous others partially damaged, rendering them uninhabitable. The Jenin Municipality estimates direct losses from the aggression at nearly $300 million as of the end of May, stressing that these losses continue to rise daily due to the ongoing assault. The enemy has intensified raids on towns and villages in Jenin Governorate, breaking into homes, forcing residents out, converting buildings into military barracks, detaining and interrogating civilians on the spot, and subjecting detainees to abuse and beatings.
