Moto G56 specs leak along with an official-looking render

GSM Arena06-05-2025

Motorola launched the G55 in August of last year, and now it's working on its successor, the unsurprisingly named Moto G56. Its pricing was leaked back in March, and today we get an official-looking render to gawk at along with its full specs.
The G56 has a 6.72-inch 1080x2400 LCD screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, 1,000-nit peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i on top, a 50 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture using Sony's Lytia LYT-600 sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture, and a 32 MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
It's powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC, paired with 4/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. Keeping the lights on is a 5,200 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. The phone has stereo speakers, IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification for ruggedness and durability, and microSD card support.
It measures 165.75 x 76.26 x 8.35 mm and weighs 200g. It runs Android 15 and will get one major Android update for the 4GB RAM version and two major Android updates for the 8GB RAM variant, with three years of security updates (4GB model), and four years of security updates for the 8GB iteration - in both cases these will be bi-monthly.
So, compared to the G55, the G56 has a larger screen, a higher-res selfie camera, and a 200 mAh bigger battery. The G56 will be offered in Pantone Black Oyster, Pantone Gray Mist, Pantone Dazzling Blue, and Pantone Dill. Motorola Moto G55

WhatsApp is testing a simple Logout option

WhatsApp is constantly working on new features, which are generally seen in beta versions before being released. That's also the case today, when some enterprising folks dug through the latest WhatsApp beta for Android and found an upcoming Logout option in Account settings. Once it goes live, when you tap it you'll be presented with two options - one of those will have you log out while also erasing all of your data and preferences, while the other will keep your data and preferences. WhatsApp Logout option in testing If you pick the route that will erase your data, it's basically just like uninstalling WhatsApp. It logs you out and deletes all app data and preferences, but doesn't remove you from groups. On the other hand, the option that won't erase data simply logs you out without touching anything else - your chats, group chats, data, and preferences will all be there waiting for you when you get back. You can then restore everything easily by simply signing in again with your phone number. So, with that in mind, this feature seems to be tailor made for those who want to take a short break from WhatsApp for whatever reason. The Logout option still shows an "Internal" badge which tells us that it's being actively tested internally in the WhatsApp development team. The next step should be a full beta release for everyone, followed of course by the stable release sometime after that. Source
