Spanish traffic lights shout: "Stand against Israel and freedom for Gaza" (Video)

Amir Hagag
Spain has continued its strong stance against Israel and its brutal crimes in Gaza. In an innovative move, traffic lights on the streets now oppose Israel and support Gaza.
On one Spanish street, the red light displays "Stand against Israel" and the green light "Freedom for Gaza," in a powerful new gesture that brings Madrid's political stance to the heart of the street.
This innovative move was part of a local initiative launched by pro-Palestinian groups in Spain, and sparked widespread controversy from the outset. It required a simple technology that integrates digital text into traffic light signs, but it carried a profound political weight, linking daily traffic to the international political scene.
Some passersby took photos of the traffic lights and their political stance, prompting others to engage in conversation about the war on Gaza. As pedestrians crossed the street, a moral question came to mind: Can we continue to cross as if nothing is happening there?
Undeterred and with full American support, Israel has continued its brutal crimes and genocide against the Palestinians since October 2023. The war has left more than 180,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons. Furthermore, famine has claimed the lives of many, including children, and widespread destruction has occurred.

Israeli soldiers with mental illnesses protest outside the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv

Amir haggag The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that dozens of Israeli soldiers with mental illnesses due to the Gaza war are protesting outside the Ministry of Defense to demand equality and treatment. The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported, citing the Ministry of Defense's Rehabilitation Department, that approximately 80,000 wounded soldiers are currently being treated. It added that 26,000 wounded soldiers suffer from mental disorders. The Ministry of Defense's Rehabilitation Department also explained that the number of wounded soldiers and the prevalence of suicide are a major challenge. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported, citing Israeli military investigations, that 16 soldiers have committed suicide since the beginning of the year due to combat conditions related to the war in Gaza. According to the Israeli military investigations, the results of which were published Sunday morning, the suicides are attributed to the difficult scenes the soldiers experienced, the loss of friends, and the inability to cope with the events. The Israeli occupation army conducts investigations into every suicide case, including examining messages left by soldiers and their conversations with their immediate surroundings. A senior military official told the Israeli Broadcasting Authority that "most cases of suicide among IDF soldiers are due to the complex circumstances that followed the war. War has consequences, these are difficult challenges, and there are many cases." He pointed out that the number of mental health officers for regular soldiers has increased by 200, and the number of mental health officers in the reserves has increased by 600. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Putin says UAE could host Trump summit - War in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin Thursday named the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a potential location for an upcoming summit with US counterpart Donald Trump. "We have many friends who are willing to help us organise such events. One of our friends is the president of the United Arab Emirates," Putin said standing next to UAE leader Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, adding "it (the UAE) would be one of the quite suitable places". The Kremlin said Thursday that a summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin was set for the "coming days", both sides having already agreed the venue "in principle". The Russian President, however, said that "conditions" for a potential meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky had not been met, hours after the Ukrainian leader repeated a call for direct talks. "I have nothing against it in general, it is possible, but certain conditions must be created for this. But unfortunately, we are still far from creating such conditions," Putin told reporters at the Kremlin. The summit between Trump and Putin would be the first between sitting US and Russian presidents since Joe Biden met Putin in Geneva in June 2021. It comes as Trump seeks to broker an end to Russia's military operation on Ukraine. Three rounds of direct talks between Moscow and Kyiv have failed to yield any progress towards a ceasefire. The two sides appear as far apart as ever in the conditions they have set for an end to the more than three-year-long conflict. Trump said Wednesday he was likely to meet Putin face-to-face "very soon." They last sat together in 2019 at G20 summit meeting in Japan but have spoken by phone several times since Trump returned to the White House. "At the suggestion of the American side, an agreement has been reached in principle to hold a bilateral summit in the coming days," Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said Thursday in a Kremlin statement. "We are now starting to work out the details together with our American colleagues," he added. The Kremlin said a venue had also been agreed "in principle", but did not name it. "Next week has been set as a target date," said Ushakov. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:
