Amir Hagag The US Emergency Management Agency has urged coastal residents in Hawaii to evacuate immediately, following forecasts of a devastating tsunami. The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency explained in a post on its official Twitter page that devastating tsunami waves are expected, noting that shelter areas have been provided for residents. The post read: "Tsunami Warning Remains in Effect - Destructive Tsunami Expected... Tsunami Refuge Areas Available... Evacuate Coastal Areas in Primary Evacuation Area." Amir Hagag Spain has continued its strong stance against Israel and its brutal crimes in Gaza. In an innovative move, traffic lights on the streets now oppose Israel and support Gaza. On one Spanish street, the red light displays "Stand against Israel" and the green light "Freedom for Gaza," in a powerful new gesture that brings Madrid's political stance to the heart of the street. This innovative move was part of a local initiative launched by pro-Palestinian groups in Spain, and sparked widespread controversy from the outset. It required a simple technology that integrates digital text into traffic light signs, but it carried a profound political weight, linking daily traffic to the international political scene. Some passersby took photos of the traffic lights and their political stance, prompting others to engage in conversation about the war on Gaza. As pedestrians crossed the street, a moral question came to mind: Can we continue to cross as if nothing is happening there? Undeterred and with full American support, Israel has continued its brutal crimes and genocide against the Palestinians since October 2023. The war has left more than 180,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons. WHO: Egypt is the first country in the world to achieve the gold standard for eliminating hepatitis C
Amir Hagag The world celebrates World Hepatitis Day every year on July 28 to raise awareness about viral hepatitis, a liver inflammation often caused by a viral infection that progresses to severe liver disease and liver cancer. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated in a statement that in 2023, Egypt became the first country in the world to achieve the gold standard on the path to eliminating hepatitis C, according to WHO standards. On World Hepatitis Day 2025, the WHO urges communities, policymakers, and health authorities to commit to taking concerted action to eliminate hepatitis. Under the theme "Easy Steps to Eliminate Hepatitis," this year's campaign calls for urgent action to: remove financial, social, and public barriers—including stigma—that stand in the way of hepatitis elimination and liver cancer prevention; expand hepatitis services, including vaccination, safe injection practices, harm reduction, and, most importantly, testing and treatment, and integrate them into national health systems. She said that tangible progress has been made in the region. In 2023, Egypt became the first country in the world to achieve the gold standard for eliminating hepatitis C, according to WHO standards. Through the "100 Million Healthy Lives" presidential initiative, more than 60 million people were screened for hepatitis, and more than 4.3 million received free treatment. These efforts represent 70% of hepatitis C treatment in the Eastern Mediterranean Region and 35% of the global total, and have led to a 35% reduction in hepatitis-related deaths since 2018.
