Mammoth actress who starred alongside Michelle Williams dies at 24
They shared: "Sophie was a kind and trusting girl. Often this left her open to being taken advantage of by others. She wrote and drew voraciously, and much of this art depicts the depth she had, and it also represents the pain she suffered. Many of her writings and artwork are roadmaps of her struggles and traumas."
Her loved ones revealed that despite their best efforts, as well as those of therapists, law enforcement officers, and others who tried to help her, they were unable to save her from her struggles. They heartbreakingly explained: "Even with those roadmaps, diagnoses and her own revelations, those closest to her, plus therapists, law enforcement officers and others who tried to help her, are heartbroken their efforts couldn't save her from her fate. She self-medicated to deal with all the trauma and shame she held inside, and it resulted in her death. She repeatedly said she would 'handle it' on her own and was compelled to reject the treatment that might possibly have saved her life."
The rising star, born on July 8, 2000, had been bitten by the acting bug from a young age, inspired by the movies her mum, actress Shelly Gibson, would buy for her. Sophie's own acting career took off when she played the role of a young girl whose mother was battling cancer in the 2010 film Invisible Sign, starring alongside Jessica Alba.
Sophie's mum, with her history in 'Dust to Malibu', recounted: "She grew up in this movie theatre and slept in the movie theatre and had a little bed in the projection booth and watched many movies," reports the Mirror.
It's been revealed that Sophie "begged" her grandmother for a shot at acting after being enchanted by the 2003 hit 'Something's Gotta Give'.

Meghan Markle 'burst into tears' after brutal statement from Prince William
Following the breakdown of their parents' marriage and the devastating loss of their mother, Princes William and Harry seemed inseparable, supporting one another through their grief. Yet today, the feuding brothers find themselves embroiled in a bitter rift as they pursue entirely different paths across the Atlantic divide. The catalyst for their fractured relationship emerged after Harry wed Meghan Markle - with the couple finding it difficult to settle into Royal duties. During the Sussexes' explosive Netflix series, Harry and Meghan, the pair targeted William whilst recounting a pivotal moment that Harry claims left him seething and reduced his wife to tears. The controversy erupted when Harry refused to authorise a joint palace statement refuting bullying allegations - a decision he maintains created an irreparable rift between the siblings, reports the Mirror. This development follows claims that Harry and Meghan's recent efforts to "build bridges and move on" have spectacularly misfired, according to a prominent Royal commentator. The couple in their Netflix series (Image: Netflix) Harry and Meghan with Prince William and Kate (Image: PA) Reflecting on footage of the brothers enjoying themselves in an old fire engine alongside newspaper coverage of their ongoing animosity in episode five, Harry revealed in the programme: "I mean, the saddest part of it was this wedge created between me and my brother so that he's now on the institution's side. "And I get, part of that I get. I understand right? That's his inheritance, so to some extent it's already ingrained in him that part of his responsibility is the survivability and the continuation of this institution. "That day, a story came out that part of the reason why Meghan and I were leaving was because William had bullied us out. And once I got in the car after the meeting, I was told about a joint statement that had been put out in my name and my brother's name squashing the story about him bullying us out of the family. "I couldn't believe it. No one had asked me permission to put my name to a statement like that. And I rang M and I told her and she burst into floods of tears because within four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us." This emerges as King Charles and Harry's top advisers reportedly conducted a clandestine reconciliation meeting in London last month, understood to be the first significant move in a 'rapprochement process' aimed at mending fractured relationships. The Mail on Sunday disclosed that Meredith Maines, the Duke of Sussex's chief communications officer, dramatically jetted in from LA to meet Tobyn Andreae, the King's communications secretary, at the exclusive Royal Over-Seas League club mere yards from Clarence House, the monarch's London base. Prince Harry's leading UK PR strategist, Liam Maguire, was also in attendance. An insider revealed to the publication: "There's a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in year. There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about." Although Prince William's representatives were apparently excluded from the surprise meeting, Royal experts have disclosed the behind-the-scenes influence he would have wielded as the monarchy's heir apparent. They suggest that whilst William shows little enthusiasm for mending fences with his alienated sibling, with whom he's allegedly had no contact for years, the discussions would never have taken place without his 'backing and consent'. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Mail Online: "The King would never have made these moves without William's support and understanding. William and Catherine are the future of the monarchy. "He has undoubtedly been furious at the way the Sussexes have behaved and undoubtedly regards Harry's behaviour as treason of a sort. They reportedly have not spoken in over two years.'". Meanwhile, Royal author Phil Dampier remarked: "The King is more anxious to patch things up than William, who I believe will never be close to his brother again." Harry is expected to return to the UK in September for the yearly WellChild ceremonies, presenting a chance for him to reconnect with his father for the first time in 18 months. However, William appears to have no intention of meeting his brother, regardless of the diplomatic efforts. Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kaye 'broke up' with girlfriend over partying
Ibiza's viral sensation Jack Kay might be enjoying the high life on private jets with his mates, but it seems there's a bit of bother brewing for the internet star and his stunning girlfriend. When the 26 year old first landed on the White Isle last week, he was just another Brit lad in a black vest and gold chain, busting moves and looking for a laugh. But his life took a dramatic turn when he became an overnight internet sensation, with memes of his standout haircut flooding social media. Now he's swapped EasyJet for a private jet back to the party island with his pals after a fresh trim and announcing his own tour, but it's not all been smooth sailing. This comes after 'Ibiza Bob' reunited with his barber following his iconic bowl cut going viral. It's now emerged that the lad who shot to viral fame thanks to his Lego-style haircut is fighting to save his relationship with his model girlfriend, after she reportedly gave him the boot while he was partying hard in Ibiza. The blow to his relationship reportedly came just days into his trip abroad - and before he went viral, reports the Mirror. Alisa Cook, a debt collector from Co Durham, was allegedly so livid with her boyfriend's partying antics in Ibiza that she ended things with him before videos of his hair made him go viral. The couple have reportedly made up since, but a mate of Jack's warned he was 'skating on thin ice' over his party lifestyle. They told the Daily Mail: "Alisha called it off when Jack went to Ibiza with the lads. They'd been together for almost a year and he was living at her place but things hadn't been right for months. Jack reunited with his barber for a fresh trim Jack Kaye went viral for his impressive haircut (Image: TikTok) "His car is still on her drive, she threw all his clothes in the back of it. She doesn't want him around anymore. She's had inklings that something was not right for a while. She just wants to wash her hands of him. Alisha is so beautiful. No one is quite sure what she saw in him." However, it appears Alisha has had a change of heart, as she's now publicly proclaimed herself as Jack's partner following his rise to online fame. In a collection of TikTok clips titled: "POV: ya boyfriend's now known as Ibiza Final Boss," Alisha can be seen snuggling up to Jack, featuring footage of him pecking her cheek and the pair partying together. The footage has since been set to private, though followers had plenty of remarks in the comments section, with one user quipping: "At least you know he didn't cheat - he's been filmed from every angle on TikTok just having a ball." Another commented: "Have a word with his barber - I don't know how he leaves the house." A third joked: "So was the haircut a choice, or did the barber do him dirty?". This comes as the hairdresser responsible for the globally-famous Ibiza Final Boss trim has finally disclosed precisely what Jack requests to achieve his distinctive appearance. Ali Kurbani, the master barber at BandD Barbers in Blaydon, Newcastle, who crafted the distinctive style, has drawn attention from A-list stars and even sparked national advertising campaigns. Alisha Cook reportedly ended their relationship before he reached viral fame (Image: Instagram) Jack Kay has become an internet sensation (Image: Instagram/ On Thursday, Ali welcomed Jack back into his chair before Jack departs for another tour around Ibiza. Ali confessed he was taken aback to see his work making headlines. "I've been doing this job for a while, and this is incredible," he said. "We've been cutting Jack's hair for about 10 years and never expected this level of attention." Hailing from Kurdistan originally, Ali revealed that Jack has maintained the same haircut for quite some time now. Following extensive online speculation about the style - ranging from Robin Hood to a bowl cut or even a "short back and Battle of Hastings" - Ali finally cleared up the confusion. "To achieve this look, Jack requests a medium skin fade with some length retained on top," Ali told The Sun. However, the secret to the haircut's sharp, Lego-like appearance lies in maintaining the fringe neat and well-defined at the front. At BandD Barbers, the "Ibiza Boss" cut costs €30, though Jack, described by Ali as a "very nice guy," sometimes pays extra.
