Meghan Markle 'burst into tears' after brutal statement from Prince William

Following the breakdown of their parents' marriage and the devastating loss of their mother, Princes William and Harry seemed inseparable, supporting one another through their grief.
Yet today, the feuding brothers find themselves embroiled in a bitter rift as they pursue entirely different paths across the Atlantic divide.
The catalyst for their fractured relationship emerged after Harry wed Meghan Markle - with the couple finding it difficult to settle into Royal duties.
During the Sussexes' explosive Netflix series, Harry and Meghan, the pair targeted William whilst recounting a pivotal moment that Harry claims left him seething and reduced his wife to tears.
The controversy erupted when Harry refused to authorise a joint palace statement refuting bullying allegations - a decision he maintains created an irreparable rift between the siblings, reports the Mirror.
This development follows claims that Harry and Meghan's recent efforts to "build bridges and move on" have spectacularly misfired, according to a prominent Royal commentator. The couple in their Netflix series (Image: Netflix) Harry and Meghan with Prince William and Kate (Image: PA)
Reflecting on footage of the brothers enjoying themselves in an old fire engine alongside newspaper coverage of their ongoing animosity in episode five, Harry revealed in the programme: "I mean, the saddest part of it was this wedge created between me and my brother so that he's now on the institution's side.
"And I get, part of that I get. I understand right? That's his inheritance, so to some extent it's already ingrained in him that part of his responsibility is the survivability and the continuation of this institution.
"That day, a story came out that part of the reason why Meghan and I were leaving was because William had bullied us out. And once I got in the car after the meeting, I was told about a joint statement that had been put out in my name and my brother's name squashing the story about him bullying us out of the family.
"I couldn't believe it. No one had asked me permission to put my name to a statement like that. And I rang M and I told her and she burst into floods of tears because within four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us."
This emerges as King Charles and Harry's top advisers reportedly conducted a clandestine reconciliation meeting in London last month, understood to be the first significant move in a 'rapprochement process' aimed at mending fractured relationships.
The Mail on Sunday disclosed that Meredith Maines, the Duke of Sussex's chief communications officer, dramatically jetted in from LA to meet Tobyn Andreae, the King's communications secretary, at the exclusive Royal Over-Seas League club mere yards from Clarence House, the monarch's London base.
Prince Harry's leading UK PR strategist, Liam Maguire, was also in attendance.
An insider revealed to the publication: "There's a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in year. There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about."
Although Prince William's representatives were apparently excluded from the surprise meeting, Royal experts have disclosed the behind-the-scenes influence he would have wielded as the monarchy's heir apparent.
They suggest that whilst William shows little enthusiasm for mending fences with his alienated sibling, with whom he's allegedly had no contact for years, the discussions would never have taken place without his 'backing and consent'.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Mail Online: "The King would never have made these moves without William's support and understanding. William and Catherine are the future of the monarchy.
"He has undoubtedly been furious at the way the Sussexes have behaved and undoubtedly regards Harry's behaviour as treason of a sort. They reportedly have not spoken in over two years.'".
Meanwhile, Royal author Phil Dampier remarked: "The King is more anxious to patch things up than William, who I believe will never be close to his brother again."
Harry is expected to return to the UK in September for the yearly WellChild ceremonies, presenting a chance for him to reconnect with his father for the first time in 18 months.
However, William appears to have no intention of meeting his brother, regardless of the diplomatic efforts.

Rewatching Normal People on Netflix? This Irish TikToker wouldn't recommend

Irish hearts are once again in emotional tatters and it's all Marianne and Connell's fault. The cause? Normal People has landed on Netflix, luring unsuspecting viewers back into the tender, devastating world of Sally Rooney's small-town soul-crusher. The spiral began when iRadio host and content creator Dave Duke took to TikTok, looking solemn and slightly broken, after binge-watching the series for the second time. Irish hearts are once again in emotional tatters and it's all Marianne and Connell's fault. Pic: Element Pictures His confessional struck a nerve: within hours, the comments section was flooded with viewers admitting they too had emerged from their rewatch feeling hollowed out, comforted only by the knowledge that they were not suffering alone. 'Gonna rewatch Chernobyl to lift my spirits,' Dave joked in the caption, as he explained he thought Normal People might be a nice easy watch of a Sunday. Boy was he wrong. 'Don't do it to yourself, especially of a Sunday. I am a void. I am empty. I am drained,' he joked. 'I have every feeling imaginable and I am also numb,' the star added, with many sharing the sentiment in the comment section. 'I've never seen it, currently heartbroken irl so decided I'd watch it for the first time to make my life even worse, I've watched 6 episodes and I fear I cannot finish the rest,' one user remarked, yikes. 'Had to turn it off during the very last scene, couldn't put myself through it again….' another added. 'Ive just done the exact same thing today. Would aslo not recommend. Don't think I can go to work tomorrow,' a third penned. After its debut on RTÉ and BBC/Hulu in 2020, Normal People has gone on to become one of the most celebrated Irish dramas of the decade, with over 62 million streams on iPlayer alone and multiple awards back home including nine wins at the Irish Film & Television Awards. Now, boosted by Netflix's global reach, the show appears to be finding a second surge of popularity among audiences, many of whom are rediscovering Marianne and Connell's tumultuous romance.

David Beckham makes Victoria giggle singing with son Cruz as they reveal glimpse of holiday on £16 million superyacht

VICTORIA Beckham has shared an insight into her family's private getaway – and her husband David's singing abilities. But it was giving a little extra flair when his dear old dad decided to step in and be the youngster's version of Nancy. Victoria was heard stifling a giggle as David interjected in the song, and later posted the clip and writing: "With backup like this @Cruz Beckham… you're destined for great success! @David Beckham xx" The sweet moment comes as the family enjoy time away together – with eldest son Brooklyn continues to miss out. With a feud dividing the family, Brooklyn has distanced himself from the Beckham clan in favour of his wife Nicola Peltz, and her family. He even missed out on multiple celebrations to mark David's 50th birthday – snubbing a lavish bash, a father-son fishing trip and a calm retreat in Bordeaux. They've even started a 'boat war' by showing off their time on Nicola's family's £85million superyacht in Saint-Tropez that comparitively dwarfs the Beckhams' . Brooklyn and Nicola also renewed their wedding vows after three years of marriage – with the Beckhams not in attendance. At the end of May, Brooklyn shared a video of him and Nicola riding on his motorbike, captioning it: 'My whole world. I will love you forever. I always choose you baby.' They'll also be missing from Victoria's upcoming Netflix documentary. Inside Brooklyn Beckham's 'financial flex' in feud with dad David as his £85m superyacht dwarfs family's £16m vessel Even Romeo, the family's second eldest son, seems to have got involved, getting a pointed sounding tattoo as well as blocking his big bro on Instagram. But over recent weeks, it seems David and Victoria are both keen to bury the hatchet, making small but meaningful olive branches on social media to let their son know they're thinking of him. They're also making sure to spend time with the rest of their children – with David and Romeo even deciding to get matching buzzcuts for their time in the sun. 9 Brooklyn is continuing to stay away from his family on his wife's family's yacht 9 The luxury boat is valued at £16million Credit: cruzbeckham/Instagram 9 The family have been making the most of their time on the boat Credit: Instagram 9 The family have been fine dining at truffle restaurants Credit: davidbeckham/Instagram
